Currently looking for volunteer writers for a cryptocurrency and stock news website, please comment if you're interested in volunteering.

you are planning to monetize the website for your own profits, right? but you want to build it on free labor? ::)

look at how low quality the crypto media already is---coinidol, btcmanager, CCN, etc, not to mention the even lower tiers. if that's what paying for articles nets for them, what do you expect to get for free?!

Website is new and not looking to spend my own money right now. Profit would go to writers.

You could share the website link, maybe you would get more attention.

I believe some people may be willing to work for free, as everyone needs to start somewhere. And nobody makes their first article for real money.

You might want to provide a bit more information about your project as this is Project Development, so you should share some simple details about your plan and roadmap for the website, raising awareness about it, what you would like for it to do differently to other websites in the crypto news space, and so on and so forth.

If the website is new and you believe in it, you need to invest a little of your personal funds knowing that there is no way to know the amount of money realized from any website by the public unless what the website owner declares.

You can buy cheap 500 words articles at $1 each, you dont need to share your profits with anybody.

Agreed. If you are really serious about the whole thing, cutting down on your daily coffees and saving 500 dollars for the site is actually a decent sum of money and can definitely net you 100 or so high-quality articles.

You might also want to look into SEO optimization and actual paid advertising options, the crypto market has gotten so big it's almost impossible to get a project even if it is a decent one off the group without spending money on marketing.

I don't think anyone would volunteer for an article writer, unless there are rewards.
In my opinion, well, because the writer needs clear thinking so it is not easy to copy, do you have the funds to hire someone to write? May I know where to write.

even though anyone might want to walk for you for free as you have requested, while don't you help such person out by putting the link to your website whether it really deserves what you are looking for.

It's not appealing to have a free workers on your site since you will not get a better result for that and much better if you compensate your writers for there job done so that they will be inspired to work again and help your site grow. Remember it's not easy to work without payments and if writers works to the other site for sure they will get a high payments for there creations and don't make as excuse that you are new since building up cost money.

I know starting a new venture is hard and there are people who have a passion for writing and I am one of them, but the aim is to monitize what I love doing and this seems an awful lot like free labour, there has to be an incentive for writers so that they can take the project very seriously, anybody could open a news website including the writers you are searching for if all it took was to open the website and find a bunch of writers who are willing to make quality posts for free, if you plan to compensate them for their work somehow, I think you should mention it in your post.

At least post your website here so people can see whether it's even worth their time or not.

Odds are your website has zero views, probably on a crap domain with zero search ranking filled with copy and paste articles.

Anybody with the talents to write could be paid to do so, so why on earth would they write for you for free unless your site is something truly special?

There's been a significant drop since last year in terms of revenue from PR and paid marketing too, so I've noticed the sites that do have quality even have had to contract in both article volume and frequency, so yeah, you can imagine the overall quality has dropped now that not all sites can't afford good writing.

Then again, for as long as people continue to use Google to search, and for as long as Google algorithms still fall for SEO tricks, these sites will continue to thrive.

Come on think about it on any writer's point of view? Do you really think you will attract someone writing for your website without some kind of compensation/benefit in return? You won't, and even if find a interested person to write for your website I doubt that he will even be creating good quality content in your website. You are taking the time and ideas of that writer you should not take advantage of it and make him compensated for that, it's either that or you just start writing articles for yourself.

You can't get them to write for free. Noting is free this time on the internet. Even those who re-write articles are well paid by news sites, If you have no people who has access and willing to travel to interview well known individuals in crypto space, re-writing is your option but that will still cost you per article. I've see users doing it and posting some clickbaits in the forum.

So, you are not getting a profit from the website? This isn't business for anyone, don't want to pay to the writers and they expect the success of the site or another way they will never get a payment while you don't want to get money with it, lol.

You could Copy/Paste some articles an start your site without making other people waste their time  ;)

I don't work for free though. Doesn't need to be fiat or bitcoin but I expect something back, even if it's just a link to my site in the footer of the article.

@OP, if you really want to build a successful crypto news outlet, then may I suggest you study what are the weaknesses of this existing news outlets and build it from there!

Now if you really want to have good articles in your site, then you must provide a conducive environment and terms where article contributors / writers would feel comfortable, including giving them adequate compensation for their work.

Please be reminded that the greatest asset any company would have is its peopleware because without them, no company will ever be successful even if they have tons of cash as capital investment! Imho.

Nothing is free on this world and if you do seek out for writers then there would always be a corresponding pay to that because no one would waste up their time and work for nothing.

For people saying they wouldn't work for nothing that is why I'm looking for "volunteers" if you don't want to work for free then simply pass along.

Why not try to post up your website so that we can at least put up some few comments towards it?

This guy is clearly a leech and likely doesn't even have the money to fund a website that has any chance of success.

Just months ago he could be seen selling a HelloFresh gift card (the ones you get free in your parcels) for $35.

There is almost no chance his website is anything special.

Yeah, the only benefit I could see for writer doing gigs for free is to build reputation (as I did 20 years ago for a local newspaper), but that implies the site/service/company in question has a way to provide exposure to the writer. Best portfolio for a writer is his work published and online. I'd say putting it on a bad site with no credentials is actually worse for the writer.

OR if the cause is something the writer personally believes in, and is non-profit.

It will be difficult to get volunteers here, while you make money from their work. I will advise you to retrace your step by monetising it.
Even NGO pays volunteers for their activities,  therefore not adding any compensation to an activity that consumes time, energy is unacceptable.

You can tell just by scrolling back through OPs post history that it is highly unlikely he is capable of building anything of value.

Therefore, whatever site he has made here likely has exactly zero visibility and any hours used volunteering for it will be entirely wasted.

Work on your own dreams guys, don't build them for others.

It is better that you make the work yourself and bring value toward your site. Volunteer for writing articles, you not going to find anyone here I believe!
