I think bitcoin won't disappear as long as the community still exists, and the government won't be able to stop it, because they have no control over bitcoin, bitcoin is a technology that can not be avoided by anyone including the government.

There is always possibility that bitcoin can be replace by other currencies using the same blockchain technology since we all know that we are going to be there .  But i don't see it to happen this year it's need more year before masses accept that currency if there is one want to replace it .
If they plan to destroy bitcoin just to have adoption for thier own currency I think this one will not work. Investors will only move to other crypto currency that secure in quantum attack .

Nothing is permanent here. But I'm quit sure government's won't be able to stop it as more they criminalize it, more popular it would get. If government took a harsh action against bitcoin, it's traders and users, that would be counterproductive for them. They might be able to restrain somewhere for sometime but sooner or later there would be no firewall to block bitcoin.

Bitcoin is still in the leading position of cryptocurrency and if it dies, the rest will die. However, I don't think this will happen, because the massive price manipulators that currently control the bull and bear cycles of most cryptos want BTC to remain alive to keep their investments valuable, but at the same time BTC continues to be propped up by the massive social engineering effort being used to fool the public about it's lack of long-term fundamentals and tell them Bitcoin is dying. this may be the intended goal of those who control BTC and hope to show "crypto" was always a bad idea. If the manipulators buy BSV and choose to flippen BTC/BSV values, they can make huge amounts of money.

Bitcoin will not be disappear  due to the new coin being released by China. Bitcoin remains stable and can withstand whatever altcoin comes. This is because of us, because of our continued support and trust in Bitcoin. And I'm sure Bitcoin will still dominate the market and no other coin will beat it.

Bitcoin will never disappear because the only thing the network needs to stay alive are a few full nodes connected to each other with some mining power.

Bitcoin is resistant to censorship from governments. They can for sure create many difficulties which will crash the price and postpone adoption. But they certainly can't kill it.

Bitcoin's Enemies Are Planning Their Revenge

The only enemies here are the money-hungry governments from across the world who want to establish control over the cryptocurrency to the highest extent. Not only do they urge on taxing crypto holders residing within the country but also want to pile up additional stipulations and regulations for trading the same.

This question has been asked a thousand times but bitcoin is still continue to exist despite of those negative feedback. As long as the people continue to support bitcoin there is no problem of the existence and those who want to compete with bitcoin can try their best but none of them have been successful yet.

Bitcoin will never be lost or controlled by the government, because bitcoin has no control by anyone here, the community uses bitcoin a lot and cannot be stopped anymore, now bitcoin has reached the whole world knowing that bitcoin is a currency that cannot be control the government.

Stop this non-sense at once! This matter has been discussed many times here and the misinformation is doing its rounds and causing unnecessary panic! If quantum computee is built, anything that uses encryption, will become useless! The banking network will be affected most, not only bitcoin!

Looking at the eye-popping cost and the complexity, it's highly unlikely that it will be available for public use in future! Only few billion dollar valued organizations will be using it and its usage will be highly controlled! There's very very less chance that bitcoin network will be attacked specifically!

No matter how many times the governments try to invade bitcoin, they can only try and control the third-party services and providers but never bitcoin itself. Sure they can cripple the industry by sending out unfair and unjust regulations from across the board, but ultimately the choice of the masses will prevail and we’ll see the effects of restricting access to bitcoin once we’re there. Valuation would only improve more and more and the governments would fail to stop bitcoin since underground economies would still exist and would surely flourish.

Can't imagine how they would do it. If they think the miners has the power for its centralization, why don't they help mining instead and try to at least achieve 51% is they can try to. Using the quantum computing might be one of the solution but its really just not existing right now, google had only got a break through but it would take a long time for them do it.

In my opinion, there is no way that Bitcoin will disappear in the future. It is the most powerful cryptocurrency in the market and it not that easy to destroy Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin price may go back to its first times at the worst in the far future but I don't give much chance for it too.

I dont think that goverments are as evil as many bitcoinerswant to believe, goverments cant attack btc in such way that could actually hurt it.
I see only one real threat to btc and it is quantum computers, but this , if becomes real, will be something so huge that bitcoin disspearence will be the one of the last thing on our minds.

the Communist Party’s endorsement of the technology last month sent Bitcoin prices soaring almost 30% in a few days.
That's bullshit journalism right there with that statement, and it's one of the first sentences of the article.  Bloomberg is *assuming* the Chinese announcement had something to do with bitcoin's most recent rise, but that isn't necessarily true.  The two things might be completely independent of one another.

And the rest of that garbage article displays a gross misunderstanding of what makes bitcoin valuable in the first place, which is that it *doesn't* depend on a central gov't or any banks.  These shitty coins that gov'ts are thinking about won't be like bitcoin.  They will be controlled by the gov't and offer zero advantage over bitcoin.  So this isn't competition at all and bloomberg doesn't know what the hell they're writing about.

Here we go again with their need for control.
It hurts to see one investment news website writing this kind of article.
Specially this.

So, they are really trying to connect that pump with what the Chinese President said.
They all really think we are idiots who supports bitcoin.
Fuck them and whoever is behind this.
They should be fucked in the ass for a lot of times until it sores.

I think there are two things that can help ensure the value of Bitcoin will be maintained in the near future.

- The first thing is the quantity limit, because the supply of BTC is limited to 21 million BTC. This limitation will increase the competitiveness of the remaining bitcoin mining and help maintain the value for Bitcoin in the long run.
- The second more important thing is that a large number of BTC supporters and consider it a great idea for the transaction process. The belief that cryptocurrencies will be an effective way to transfer actual monetary values outside the banking system will keep Bitcoin forever.

Beyond question bitcoin will not disappear if we are talking about the short run because there are no objective reasons which might bring about it.  Nowadays bitcoin is, actually, the foundation of the crypto market. we should not forget that bitcoin has the well enough capitalization, enormous amount of transactions and finally bitcoin is a world brand.
Several last years I read lots lots of various topics and articles which kicked off the discussion about the future death of bitcoin and what? Bitcoin is still alive and plenty of people utilize bitcoin every day as and earlier.

so basically the author gathered most of the negative things that he could find that are linked to bitcoin and has created his article and OP adds the "disappear" part and started this topic!
the interesting thing that the author got wrong is that whatever cryptocurrency that Chinese government creates is not going to be the first one. we already have a government coin called Petro in existence. the only thing that did was to produce money for the government pockets and then indirectly strengthened bitcoin's adoption! it won't be any different in China either.

Impossible, the strong and powerful structure of Bitcoin proves its value and potentials you know some countries are accepting Bitcoin as a payment method and some are preparing to make regulations for Bitcoin because they can't ban BTC so the time is almost near when the whole world will accept BTC it's definitely impossible Bitcoin won't disappear.

I totally agree with you. Bitcoin has just celebrated its over a decade in existence and it is receiving more acceptance from all and sundries. China coming up recently by adding their voice to legitimize crypto. More world economic powers in near future will join China to have their own blockchain and cryptocurrency. So stopping or banning bitcoin seams not easy for now.

Every cryptocurrency has the possibility of disappearing in the market. But I believe Bitcoin is different from all cryptocurrencies that exist now. It is moving on the pathway of gold and when it overtakes gold, it will be a standard too.

Practically Bitcoin cannot disappear as it is a decentralized network run by nodes all around the world. In the worst case scenario that I believe is very unlikely that Bitcoin gets a global ban it will still run in the dark market for sure and for making transactions off-the-grid. Fiat currencies aka cash is being used this way and probably Illuminatti uses their own exchange item who knows?! haha

China will get a fist in the face if they try to put with Bitcoin. Totalitarism and dictatorship is not the direction the world is moving towards, but decentralization and freedom.

Ignore the news, and the question "whether bitcoin will disappear" because that question has been repeated many times and in fact bitcoin has survived until now.
don't be fooled because when bitcoin starts to get good news about the increase in bitcoin there will definitely be bad news that will make people panic, stay strong and not easily provoked even though the news tends to have a negative impact on bitcoin but that won't eliminate bitcoin.

No there is no way to stop bitcoin and it will not disappear as we have seen similar threats in the past just to pull down the value of bitcoin but the fact will is different. How do you think the government and regulators can stop bitcoin? It's not a physical currency which they can demonatise or ban. These sort of new will occasionally hamper Bitcoin's growth but that's just temporary thing.

Governments are puzzled with the crypto-coins. At the beginning era, they neglect it completely, that time they don't had the idea about the capability of the crypto-coins and the blockchain technology. And when it caught the gov attention then it became beyond their control. A lot of money of the economy are now in the crypto form. So if a Gov tries to ban it completely then that money will vanish. So they are trying to regulate and implement a tax on it.  Which is also a tough job for them. So now they are looking to build a centralized digital currency to compete with the other existing well-known crypto-coins.

Anyone who might be thinking about bitcoin disappearing or becoming worthless would only be kidding. The situation is similar to someone who might be worrying about the possibility of physical money becoming useless. So far as trading and business transactions continue to happen, there would always be need for fiat and digital cryptocurrencies like bitcoin.

Bitcoin has a lot of supporters so as long as maybe we are here for bitcoin it will still develop and won't die.|
But there's also a good chance that bitcoin will suddenly disappear and die, bitcoin is still somewhat vulnerable and got some loopholes in the system which can be a cause of hacking, but I pray that this won't happen.

It is really a matter of debate. Bitcoin could have a standard like gold's in the future and also there is a possibility that one day it could completely disappear. Cryptos are really hard to guess. This is valid for even Bitcoin.
