To commemorate the 10th anniversary in a not so grand way and also to move towards the betterment of this sub-board I am hereby starting the game of speculating the bitcoin price on November 22, 2019 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5) (exactly 10 years after satoshi's announcement of a new forum).

Contest :

Every Indian forum member is welcome to participate in this speculation game and who ever predicts the closest price of bitcoin on November 22, 2019, 06:04:28 PM UTC will win 0.002211BTC which will be paid from the escrow wallet. All you need is to post the closest price of bitcoin in coinmarketcap (to be very specific) at 22/11/2019 and type your wallet address below the predicted price.

Rules :

1. The timer would start by today immediately after posting this topic and would end exactly on November 10 2019 23:59 IST. So please post your guesses within this time frame and later on November 10 I would lock this topic. Further PMs will not be entertained.

2. Trolls are banned from participating in this game. If you are a reformed Indian troll (which could be very well evident from your posts) your prediction would never be taken into account and your post would be reported until it gets removed.

3. Even though the topic is not self-moderated it doesn't mean you can ruin this topic by posting shit. Only post the predicted price and your bitcoin address. If possible add a good note on how much you are willing to participate in future games and for encouraging developers and translators to contribute to Bitcoin Core and translating Bitcoin Core and Bitcoin.org in native Indian languages.

Escrow and Future Development Ideas :

The funds which are donated by the Indian forum users and micgoossens would be used for further development of the sub-forum and would also be paid for developers and translators who would be helping the bitcoin ecosystem by contributing to the Core development and for translating Bitcoin Core software and bitcoin.org in native Indian languages. The escrow for the collected funds will be held by DarkStar_ and the payment would be made from the escrow wallet.

Indian developers are quite brilliant but since bitcoin is being promoted in a wrong way of get rich quick scheme almost 90% of them aren't really aware that they could contribute to the Core development. Along with that, India is a country with rich old languages and tradition and hence Bitcoin Core and bitcoin.org present in various Indian languages would help the country to get adopted even higher than it is now. Kindly promote this topic to all the Indian developers you encounter IRL and they would get paid for their work.

Right now Bitcoin Core is available completely only in Tamil and we need to make the languages even more higher. Similarly bitcoin.org is available only in Hindi which should be increased for better connectivity among fellow Indians. Everyone would be paid for their work provided they prove that they are the one who is the owner of corresponding github and Transifex accounts here in bitcointalk to get paid.

It doesn't make sense to predict the price in INR, since we are going to test the price from coinmarketcap which uses USD. If INR is allowed, it will create a conflict  ;) You better edit the price with USD value.

Are you Indian? Never seen you anywhere around here? Sorry but the contest is open only for Indians and any other country people are not allowed to participate in this contest. To confirm that you are an Indian, you should have posted at least one post in India section either a year back or recently. A little digging in your account seems like you are from Bangladesh. This predicted price is not taken into account.

If @Heisenberg is putting up the predicted prices on the OP then I think you should regularly update it since people like me will definitely change the predictions before Nov 10.

The contest was a minor initiative to bring back the long dormant Indian board and hopefully I believe everyone has started being active here and some of the quality discussions has started taking place as well. We all can consider this as a little hopeful and positive start for the major revamp/reshaping we had been longing for all these days. This does prove that all we need is a little determination to change the board to the way it was prevailing back.

If posting quality posts and receiving merits is for the greater good, giving away our earned smerits to the fellow forum members and reporting spam posts is also necessarily needed for the better working of the local forum on a longer run. Consider this like while you are downloading anything through torrent you should seed back for others to receive them. Let us all pledge to do that from today at least in the Indian board so that our fellow newbies would probably rank up as we do in the future and also it would be much better to keep this local board cleaner than ever.

We can consider this day as not only a 10th anniversary of this forum created by satoshi, but the beginning of a new era of the Indian sub-forum.

Congrats @ragavancoin . You deserve the reward for at most accurate prediction. Most of us predicted a boost in bitcoin's price while only a few predicted about the dump.
Dumps are necessary for any coin so that it can increase in price with more stability and you have predicted the right time for the dump.

The speculation game was indeed fun but let's join hands to bring in more similar games/competitions to bring in more new members. Let us all contribute to make the Indian sub an even better place.

Congratulations man. I did not imagine in my wildest dream that price can tank to this low. You seems to have some gifted foresight. Now, can you please guess a date when BTC will cross $20k again? ::)

If you want my prediction my guess is that by 2021 the market will rise again and might cross the all time valuation again during that time, the rest of the bullish or bearish trend are momentary and if you are a short term trader you can make a lot of money with a market like this but i always look for the long term as it is the safest bet.

@OP anymore new games, if so that would be great to have some fun here.

Sorry, I have been very busy lately and didn't really find time to reply to this. Instead of a speculation game, there would be raffles something like 'GREAT INDIAN RAFFLES' which  which will run forever unless the funds gets emptied/if anyone stops donating to the wallet. The raffle is limited only to Indians and unlike other country people (Bangladesh or any other nearby countries) are not allowed to participate. If some of the non-familiar users tend to participate like in this topic, their account would be checked prior to their entries are accepted.

By this week I would be creating a formal announcement topic with rules, the pattern of the game, how will they work etc and another important note is that the monthly raffles will start from January 2020 and would continue forever. Let this new year bring some hope for the Indian bitcoin enthusiasts.
