Title: Are Airdrops worth participating in? WHERE to find all of them?
Post by: DimitrisLodirogas on November 06, 2019, 08:49:35 AM
Does anybody know for a site which shows all avaiable airdrops at the moment?
Thank you!

Here is a couple of them[1][2] (I believe the first one has a more complete list).

Also, I advise you to avoid the airdrops that ask for KYC, they're not worth giving your identity for.

There are lots of airdrop sites available on the web. They're just one Google search query away.

With that said, are they worth it? Not in my opinion. You'd have to be very lucky to collect an airdrop that would actually end up being worth something some time in the future. Chances are, they're just going to be worth next to nothing(like most cryptocurrencies are). Not to mention that a good chunk of those airdrops requires KYC. Submitting KYC information in exchange of a few cents at best worth of tokens? I don't see that being worth it in the slightest.

Why not just earn money the normal way instead? Get a job, start a business, look for some gigs, those stuff. The days of profitable airdrops are over.

I used to get some ETH token airdrops without even doing anything - no registration, no platforms or posts, just getting tokens out of the blue because I had some transaction history on my ETH wallet. I then tried to spawn dozens of wallets hoping to get more tokens, but it didn't work. There are probably some requirements for getting selected by these unconditional airdrops - you must have a certain amount of ETH in your wallet, and maybe it should be there for some long period of time.

I think I collected around $20-30 worth of tokens with these airdrops.

I hope you do not look for Airdrop from better sites looking for communities that are frequently updated such as Telegram, Twitter and Facebook, because Airdrop that is shared there tends to be successful and real, as long as you don't ever follow Aridrop Bots in Telegram, it's only a scamer.

I have actually noticed on this page https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5187554.0 (Newscrypto) there is an option where they gather all "Airdrops". Did not have time to check it out yet tho.  There are also many Facebook groups that are named "airdrop.." so you might want to check that out too.

OP as you look through the lists provided by other helpful members. I just wanted to give you some piece of advice. At the moment, i don't think it's worth your time participating in any airdrop programs.

What made airdrops a very good way to earn money in 2017 was because of the sudden sky-rocketing of coin prices and ICO hype. Very many newbies in crypto would just splash money or Ether in Decentralized exchanges to buy shitcoins created out of nowhere with hope that their prices would also skyrocket like XRP, XVG, ETH etc

So with that wave, shitcoins actually had value in exchanges because there were so newbies placing good buy orders. To be honest, i personally made over $4k of Ether out of those airdrops... All i just had to filled in the form would just be my bitcointalk name, telegram handle and Ether address.

But people learnt the hard way during the bear market. People no longer splash money buying useless coins and so rarely do airdropped tokens have any value. You will waste your time participating and in the end get tokens worth a total of 1 cent not forgetting that most projects that run these airdrops are now scams.

I would recommend trying learning other things that can help you earn money like Trading. Trading does help me earn some side money.

- Are they worth participating in: depends on what they are going to ask you to do. There is no problem in participating in an Airdrop that just ask you to provide your wallet address.
But you should never participate in those that ask you for your personal information (aka KYC) or tell you to send them the gas fee first -> they are scams.

- Where to find them: check the links OmegaStarScream provided in first reply or keep an eye on Bounties (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.40) board.

For most people they are not worth participating in. It also depends where you are from. Maybe $1-2 is a lot of money in your region. If that is the case it might be worth it for you. Those ERC-20 tokens can be exchanged for ETH on a DEX like ForkDelta. But if you do try your luck with airdrops I think you will soon notice it is not worth your time. Maybe 1/10 ends up being worth something. I think even those odds are optimistic.

Other telegram airdrop channels:
https://t.me/CryptoKnightAirdrops
https://t.me/AirdropDetective

Also, I advise you to avoid the airdrops that ask for KYC, they're not worth giving your identity for.

If I may add, do not participate in airdrops that requires you to download some apps. It's not worth the risk also.

I normally go to the Bounties Board for airdrop and bounties.

Here's the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.40

I also use Google to search for more website that lists airdrops and bounties. Google is my primary go-to-site in almost all of my questions.

At the moment, i don't think it's worth your time participating in any airdrop programs.

If it takes a few seconds and you're not obligated to do anything else then why not? It's the ones that make demands on your time that aren't worth bothering with. Almost all will die having achieved nothing but the odd one might pay off down the line. There are more constructive things to be doing in the meantime.

You can search all recently added airdrops from these sites-
1. https://airdropking.io/en/
2. https://airdrops.io/
Where you can get the best rated and high valued airdrop. You can search in telegram as well because so many groups are created every day. But just make sure before joining any airdrop try to verify everything from your end.

If you want to ask about aridrop and Bounty you can go to this section:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0
I myself have stopped doing aridrop for a long time because it almost did not bring anything, most aridrop programs are scams and they only really want to collect information from people.
If you have free time and want to earn more money you can do other jobs in real life. Or you can try to increase the rankings of your Bitcointalk account, then you can participate in signature campaigns.
Finally you should stay away from aridrop requiring KYC. They are just trying to collect people's personal information to sell to scammers.

I also thought about giving OP this same advice till I took a look at his(her)post history, it doesn't look like what someone would be willing to merit in a hurry, OP seems to me like newbies(users)who just don't want to apply a little bit of effort, but want to earn handsomely, maybe that's the reason why he or she wants to engage in airdrops, since majority of them require no effort or hardwork.

OP you can do airdrops, bounties and whatever, but just remember to put a good amount of effort into it.

Definitely not. Airdrop "communities", especially on Facebook and on Twitter, are nothing but a breeding ground for airdrop referral/affiliate link spammers. If you were to claim airdrops(though I highly suggest against it), you might as well use a website that has the airdrop links neatly listed.

Not all token has value on airdrop. They send there token but most of the tokens doesnt have value. Since doing airdrop wont take too much of your time and it is very easy process, just do airdrop if you have time collect all tokens that you can collect from airdrop. Sell it in the future.

Those airdrops sites are the same thing. Most of them get referral commission or at one point, get paid by the project to list their airdrop.

With that said, I advise you guys to stop hunting useless tokens.

I want to be frank most of the airdrop now is not worth it, so many scams, if ever it is legit the allocation is very small you will get below $1 which is a waste of time you can't even sell it on the exchange. However, there few that still exist and gives a decent amount.

I recommend these two but not in Asian countries and always try in your own risk.

Coinbase  - need KYC, in some countries the reward is not instant especially on Asia.

Keybase - No need KYC - Selected countries are allowed.

Nope. Nuh uh. It'd be a lot better if you actually spent your time studying up BTC or other Altcoins. If it were back a few years ago, I'd definitely say yes. But its not anymore, people have learned their lessons, the market has matured, it's time to move on and study up properly how to earn with crypto.

But if you're sure your looking for one, just google some up, and those top sites should have been reviewed already which should probably be in the top searches.
Some others have already given airdropking.io so I aint able to give anymore sadly.

There is nothing wrong in looking for free money, that's human nature. I would, however, not give much time in collecting them knowing that most of these projects will vanish in near term and collecting a few pennies at the cost of our KYC details is not worth at all. Doing so contains a big risk of getting our details compromised and I'm sure you won't be giving quality time to understand project carefully because it is just a penny you will go for.

I did try when I was very newbie in the bitcointalk but to be honest to you, I got nothing from the airdrop. It's a type of waste of your precious time. I have given up. It's better if you start learning about cryptocurrency and other related stuff, you can earn from bitcointalk by doing so once you can get built a higher ranked account. More importantly, you will learn a lot of thing here.

soon we will have more airdrops platform like this and so on.

This is the truth about tokens asking for KYC especially the ones not known to be active on any domestic activities. You see the thing is a lot of airdrops from ICO have been doing a KYC-trap lately and even on bounty campaigns which didn't disclose anything about a KYC requirement and before reaching the end of the campaign/airdrop period they will somehow make KYC as a requirement before they receive the payment. Here is one (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5189364.0) of the examples here that happened lately and victimize a lot of participants in their campaign. So you really can't trust airdrops without asking KYC first as they can make it as a requirement at the end which really sucks on their part.

You will find many airdrops sites some of which are listed in above posts and there is no shortage of them. Regarding your question in the title, is they worth participating is something debatable.

They are only worth participating only if you
-  do not have any other source of income
-  do have a lot of free time
-  do not want to waste time in social media and utilize that time for Airdrops fetching

because most of the airdrops in the end will be worthless.

Why not just earn money the normal way instead? Get a job, start a business, look for some gigs, those stuff. The days of profitable airdrops are over.

This last part wasn't necessary though and I think you are trying to say he depends on airdrop for a living and that's wrong. Some members here have a real job but they use this forum's bounties as a way of getting extra income, you shouldn't jump into conclusions just like that.  I also don't see airdrops/bounties as an independent source of income.

Your first point is totally wrong. You can participate in participate in hundreds of airdrop and end up being paid by only less than 5 airdrop. So it's better you have another source of income.
And for the second point, you can't spend your whole day filling airdrops. Even signature bounty tasks doesn't take time to complete daily. You can create time to do that during breaks at work.

Depending on your needs, most airdrops only offer a small reward compared to bounties. Apart from that I advise you only to participate in airdrops held by projects that have credibility. At this time many airdrops have sprung up and 70% -80% of them are just fraud. Make sure you select first before joining the airdrop. Regarding the info you can see it on this link together with bounty info as well https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0.

There are some airdrops are good and can earn and give you a lot of profit without any hassle just doing their task. But, today airdrops are really not worth it and you are just wasting your time because they will give you a reward for a task but no value.

And that is why you need to check the airdrop information first before joining and some are requiring a KYC first before getting your token rewards.

I think the airdrop reward is quite large. If you want to start with cryptocurrencies, you should participate in bonus programs, gaining experience from projects. I have been in the airdrop for a long time now, despite a lot of scam projects. However, I have earned a sufficient amount of money.

To be honest with you airdops are no more profitable has before. Some projects give participants worthless tokens and then lock them for a long time. I will advice you not to focus too much on airdops.
NOTE: incase you want to know which airdrop is profitable. Just compare the token/coin total supply and the amount of token they are releasing.

No, participating in Airdrop is not worthy anymore. I did not see any airdrop project that paid well to its loyal participants! Airdrop like the Bomb token, Blockburn, Ethplode was worthy but that's not enough good actually! But yet it is free money! So, you may keep doing it. To find potential Airdrops, have a look at Airdropsalert website, they only list potential airdrops, not shit.

I have been thinking always that even is airdrop worthy of gas fee? Because what I realised from current markets all new token prices dropped huge after get listed on exchange. On the other hand most of ICO's never listing on exchange. And the reason is projects are not potential enough. Airdrop is just a way of increase fan and followers and that's how they try to list on exchange. I believe it's just waste of time although so many people addicted for join airdrop like OP.

By considering current market I will not encourage to join airdrop and face problem later on like KYC and so many formalities. But if someone has enough time to spend then probably they can join and might earn some dust.

I gained a lot joining an airdrops before and it is really worth it, doing the task is easy and you just need time to do it. But now, its a waste of ti. R amd effort doing the task since when it get listed in exchange the value is less than a cent and doing the task is much harder and effortless.

That's why it is much better to trade and lesrn new techniques than doing the task which is worthless.

People are just joining airdrop to earn some dust now. Remember we're yet to enter the altcoin season. what happens if we enter the bull run season and they've accumulated much of airdrops tokens in their portfolio, will they still earn dust? This is something we gat to reason and understand while we wait patiently on bullrun season

It seems you are having a second thought if it's worth participating in airdrop but you are still interested, some people have already given you some links and you can Google if you want more, if you ask me it's not worth doing airdrop, it's more like a gambling to me, you never know if the card you are picking or airdrop you are picking is worth it or not, I have a bad experience doing airdrop and I'm talking over 50 to 70 airdrops.

To all the people saying airdrops are scams or not worth it or whatever. Yeah, the airdrops you participate are useless. Who's faults that? Why do you waste your precious time on shit and expect to get roses? (that is ironic since shit grows good roses get it) ;)

Only do an airdrop if the project you are supporting supports it. If you think mass signing up for airdrops is a good idea and that is your mentality then you are going to have a really crappy time.
It doesn't matter how attractive you make a shitcoin it is still shit so stop doing airdrops for shitcoin, that's how easy it is.

So next time you see "bobs super duper coin" and bob has no website or Ann then do not fill the airdrop out you are wasting your time. Go learn a skill or something that you can use to make some real money.

Airdrop before are worth it to participate but now it seems that airdrop today are scams and they are also requiring KYC. I experienced to get profitable coins in airdrop in the year 2017 but now all of airdrop are garbage and it is now waste of time to participate. I received a lot of useless airdrop token particularly in ERC20 tokens in the year 2017. That is the time when there is lots of google docs flying in telegram, social media as well as in this forum. Up until now! those token are close to having no value in the market, some of them are dead as fuck and their developer and their community manager run away after their ICO.

It feels like I wasted my leisure time submitting my personal details in each and every airdrop I saw in telegram groups. I should just spend my time learning trading and contributing in this forum rather than making signed up post in bounties section.

It is like you are finding a needle in a haystack :(

Are you still willing to participate to shit airdrop in the market? You will just waste your effort there. Today, airdrops are distributing shitcoins that doesn't have value in the market. I'm just saying this because I experienced to participate in airdrop before and I didn't get rewards there but I got learnings and it is not to participate to airdrops anymore.

It has been discussed several times that most of the airdrops are not worth to participate at all. I really don't know if there's still an airdrop worth to participate at this time, who knows. I think that there are also airdrops that will reward you with eth after completing a task.
That's first time for me to see debate on airdrops. I know there are many scams out there but if the project is solid what's wrong with participating in airdrop?

- Are they worth participating in: depends on what they are going to ask you to do. There is no problem in participating in an Airdrop that just ask you to provide your wallet address.
But you should never participate in those that ask you for your personal information (aka KYC) or tell you to send them the gas fee first -> they are scams.

- Where to find them: check the links OmegaStarScream provided in first reply or keep an eye on Bounties (Altcoins) (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.40) board.
Thank you for advice and link i will definitely check everything. I never gave away any KYC info, thank god.

I understand that Airdrop is a scam?

No, they are not. You should've google what is airdrop before posting here.
Airdrop is nothing but giveaway with X winners.
Unfortunately, not every participant will win that's the truth, but you have a chance.

You can't or shouldn't trust all airdrop websites you see, many promote fake airdrops like airdroprating.io its a redflag, they mixed both legit and fake airdrops together, the most trusted are airdropbob and airdropalert

I've seen some where link was broken or lead to another page which had nothing in common with crypto. Did you have any specific sites on mind?

Not every airdrop. People blindly do every airdrop and don't realize they are often helping scams advertise. Look at the projects and see if they worthwhile. If they half way worthwhile then take a gamble on them.
If it seems like a scam or a shitcoin then you can skip it. You will save much more time and the outcome will be better. You might change your mind about airdrops.
The problem is most people do not do this and then they blame all airdrops instead of airdrops in general.

Here's the link for the site that I used when I'm joining various airdrops before: https://beta.bounty0x.io/bounties

There are a lot of websites available for airdrops on the internet however most of them are being handled by the agencies which is better for the convenience of the participants IMO. On the other hand, I'm also recommending you to join such telegram groups/channels because in that way you can engage with other participants too.

Airdrops were lucrative in 2017 but that has changed, in the whole of 2019, I can't remember a single airdrop that paid anything worthwhile so I wouldn't recommend you to waste your time on it, bounties these days are just a little better than Airdrops although it isnt quite as lucrative as it used to be too, anyways you could get all Altcoin paid bounties here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0
