We would like to ask your help by filling out this brief questionnaire regarding your priorities when investing in Crypto.

In the end we would like to use this information to help us shape an Alt coin offering. You can fill it out anonymously or leave your email if you would like more information once the project comes closer to fruition.

Around here specifically its mostly reputation and subsistence tho, you need to not be a newbie for one, as that shows you have put in the time on this forum and in this space to then have atleast SOMETHING of a name on the line to sell something here off of, as most come in anon and think we will give their Nigerian prince asses money, no way!
And you need to just "build it and they will come", have something to show. Ideas are just so hollow here especially from newbie (throwaway) accounts : /

I appreciate the effort made to conduct a survey or make a study without mentioning or exposing the project if ever you already have a name for that project created. I have filled-out and hope it can be a help. Questions are interesting and really in need to be focused in ICO offerings, If only all should be 1st priority but it's better to take one step at time in doing right then move than mixing all those priorities at once and will not get any result. Thank you very much @dimonstration. We do have a name and the beginnings of a white paper, but the name might imply what our thoughts with the project are and hence influence any replies we get. So for now its on a "want to know basis", meaning if you want to know I can DM it to you :)

This is a good idea OP because you will know and understand what important when investing in cryptocurrency in that case you will easily gives your customer a satisfaction without making trouble.

Running a survey is a good way to reach out to not only the investors but also to gather the opinion of bounty hunters.
I have submitted my answers and might help even a little, at least this might give your project an effective way to develop and get the interest of your possible investors.

Often we think we know the answers to what people think, but in reality it is just what we would think when presented with the question. So its always a good exercise to get real input from real users like yourself.

Done. For me the most important things will be the projected profit, stability and timeframe. I bet this is going to be the main focus of most investors, especially the new ones thinking about their first investment.

I found it interesting that you're asking about the environment. When it comes to Bitcoin, there's really no proof that it's bad for the environment. Some people are pointing out that using a lot of electricity is bad, but that power is being bought which means that someone is already providing it whether we buy it or not. For me this would be the least important factor of any investment unless it's proven that a project will destroy the environment.

I want to help by filling out your questionnaire but external links and then spam emails later is my previous experience that is why i try to avoid random links nowadays.
As long as your question is concerned, i can share my experience of investing in crypto market, when i was new i ws easily caught into fomo and invest in every hyped up coin and also good looking ico projects but with time and facing heavy losses i have now changed my strategy and now i try to stay in top ten coins as much as possible especially btc and eth because in the end it is the trust, authenticity and repute is what matters when investing your hard earned money.

They are all somewhat equally important points to me and it would be really hard to invest in something that lacks some fundamental quality like it would help cut the costs or something. And as those priorities don't rule each other out in the real world, i see this as a pointless exercise.

A good idea to make a list of questions about investing in crypto. But it's good, so that this research gets more responses, don't just post it in this thread, but also spread it in groups or you create your own group to fill in this questionnaire and get more results. Has there been a lot of response from user forums or is it still a little that fills this list of questions?

I filled it out but you asking the wrong questions. None of this impresses me in the least. How about tell us what the project actually is?? What are you maanging fund for? A dream? Or an actual working service or product?
If you have nothing to show then we move on. Then you also asked a few times about profitablitly. Again I ask profit from what? A coin with no use at all that you can mine and exchange for other equally useless coins?
OR can I actually use the coin for something.

I would not fill the form, but I am more than glad to share my opinion here. The first priority is the product that should function and generate profit. Secondly, there should be a well written whitepaper and roadmap with real people on board and big social media communities. A top 10 IEO is a very good bonus  ;)

Thank you to all that filled out the questionnaire. A lot of good points have come up. I realise that this is quite non descriptive at this time, but we do not want to influence your answers by giving you preconceptions about what the project is about. Who knows maybe your answers will end up leading us in another direction.

We welcome anyone with ideas on where to post this to garner more responses. We would like to also spread it in certain Telegram groups but do not want to spam, so anyone that owns a relevant Telegram group and would be willing to share it is most welcome and will have our gratitude.

The priorities of many investors is to make money off crypto investment, i am here for the profits as well but i tend to stay around for future opportunities since blockchain is a futuristic technology

This is a great idea to start an offering. Most of the time, people especially projects are just creating tons of projects without considering the market research and opinion of the people regarding a certain topic. In this case, extracting directly from the users will provide first-hand information that will be useful when you conduct your coin offering. I would like to recommend that you put more details regarding what kind of project you are planning for the users here to be oriented on why they need to fill-up the form.

Done submitting. Nice way of extracting ideas of a crowd. I'd like to see this one on the others because this is the best and formal way of capturing idea before initializing coin offering. However, it seems like most of the question in my perspective are all important to people although I don't know the others but I just feel like they will be going the same answer as me. I suggest that provide some question that out of the ordinary.

This is an initial survey and we do realise the questions are a bit generic. Further down the road we do plan on further tweaking our offering with a more detailed questionnaire that will relate closer to our intended project.

I agree with your idea to make a list of questions about investment priorities in cryptocurrency. You will give some altcoin offers, but I hope you don't do SPAM and don't misuse the email you get. Investors' interest in investing in crypto has dropped considerably compared to last year, because of the many scammers who deceived investors.

Its completely voluntary if you want to leave your email address or not. But no we do not want to spam anyone at any point. And I agree with your point about the many exit scams and their effect on the industry. If our offering comes to fruition I am certain transparency and stability will be key focal areas.

Answered and sent, hoping the survey will achieve good results. The questions are very interesting and cover many important issues in investing.

One of the important thing for me is the concept of the platform, whether the team is the most genius in the world, if I would think that their project cannot be accepted in masses then I won't be interested, as well, how much fund they have invested on their own pocket, as for me, if they are really interested and they are love what they are doing, they will invest their own fund to it.

Having nice team in crypto is a must,you know to your self what is right in our community. They must have a good reputation in our future and can give us a good platform. It is not just the fund that they made it was the success that they are going to fulfill in the future. But having also a low profit isn't good to us because some here in crypto joined only for profit for them to higher there class as a human.

I have filled the Google form and hope the collected data from the people with different backgrounds will help you to analyze the behavior of the investors. The main priority should be around making a profit and the real use of the product by the team in the average life. The more the business perspectives will be a priority the more scammers will steal from the greedy investors.

Priorities? I don't, I just want to secured the project itself and secured my money in return. Nevertheless, it is all good. Well, because that's all will be all going. But in addition, beforehand, I planned on something like quota and stuff but I usually don't prioritize something besides to real and sure project and that's all.

Profits is what ultimately matters. The main reason behind investing in digital assets is to earn some   handsome amount of money from them in short duration. Whitepapers and other such formalities can be faked by scammers with ease. For choosing right project, I would suggest going for the old ones. They have shown us what they are capable of, leaving no room for anymore doubts. This will also save time.

Agree! Since going on new is so risky right now and we know the reputation of new ICO is so sketchy that's why it's truly best to look for old coin right now because they got the good standings and high probabilities to pump when alt season came. It's very important to know the status of the current situation since there are so many scam project which pretend to be a legit and it's a huge throw out for our money if we let them hand our hard earned so best to choose the right for this investment venture.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Although we will try and incorporate feedback left in thread, it is much easier for us to catalogue the data if you fill out the form. It should not take more than a few minutes.

We will certainly share information on the project once we close down the questionnaire.

During the time that I am investing in cryptocurrency, I make sure that I know the team behind it, I know the potential of the coin, their purpose, is it just stable coin or just like Bitcoin that can be mine, I am checking their mission, are they aiming for massive adoption, is their project already launched? If not yet, when? what is their estimated time to launch, are they following the roadmap, is the team token locked and many more things that should be answered with no doubt.

OK for me I think the first thing I do is take a look at the project what it has to offer and the chance it stands to gain adoption, then the team behind the project

I just wanna criticize this survey:

1 how do you determine population and sample? or you just wanna take all population without considering respondent background, it looks like weird

2 the questionnaire is weird too, it cant select more than one response per column

that is enough to make this isn't scientific

I will attempt not to make any snide remarks here.. Though that last sentence makes me shudder.

1; The chosen sample group is crypto investors. Not "all population".

2; The reason you can only select one priority in each column is to force you to rank the factors amongst themselves. If you could select "most important" for all answers it would make very little sense.


Overall I would agree and say this survey does not live up to a peer reviewed scientific survey made for a doctorate or similar. But this is not the point of the survey, rather the aim is commercial and as such not focused on the scientific community. Further it was constructed by a person (not me) that has a good understanding and experience in user data collection.

We welcome all replies and (sensible) criticism.

The advantages of an alts that I invest in are the liquidity and the hard work of the team.
I always believe that someday, the effort will pay off.
such as small alts in Binance such as VET, IOST, ENJ. I have held those alts a few days ago and now I am more than 30% profitable.
I think my method is quite right for the current situation and remember one more important feature that must be listed on large exchanges and large communities.

My priority is usually to hit and earn good profits which is reason why I do proper research before investing on any project before I get sinked.

I think this is not only your priority. we are all in this market for profit. I don’t understand why people are still surprised at their losses when they don’t do research projects.

I think this is a good idea to create a questionaire like that because all we know that this is one way to make investors realized the why we invest at crypto and to avoid loss specially to the newbies which have too much excitement and can't decide well on every action that they are doing. So it is better to have a question like that make them refresh about their purpose of investment.

They blindly invest in the projects without prior research before deciding to invest or not. People are thinking about to make fast money and the main reason is this way of thinking in most cases. Before thinking about to make money, having decent skills will solve the mentioned troubles.

The project idea is really of key importance to me and I also check that it is just not a duplicated project because what I have found with many of these projects is that they like to duplicated already existing projects a lot, especially projects that they know people accept a lot and the developer are making it, so they come in the name of having a better mode of operation to the already existing ones but all are lies.

It is just a tactic to deceive people and I blame people that are not satisfied with what the older project is giving them and they fall victim of these ones. For example now, with all the quality services that binance exchange is giving, I see no reason why anyone will leave the platform for another new exchange just because if small hype they created for it. So, I look at a fresh idea of a project that will be accepted by the community.

We have many gems in crypto space and i still believe that new gems will raise as well so i am here to catch them while they are still very cheap and young as well, i believe few altcoins can make me achieve my dreams, to be honest we are all here for the profits

the most important factor is the team behind the project whether there product is already developed or in processing. the product which company develop meet the market need. in my opinion most of these factor is required before investing in cryptocurrency

One important factor that makes me interested in investing is having a partnership with a good company. Partnertship indicates that the token has a prospect and is also verified by another company as a legit company. In addition, if the coin is already on the market, the other most important factor is that the coin or token has great liquidity and this coin is usually in the top 50 coin marketcap

Nothing can be more important for a project that its product. You can have everything in the world, including money, but the lack of interesting idea and the working solution of this idea, would literally kill the project.

important for anyone before investing or trading in the crypto industry needs to consider a thousand times before investing your money here. free and large crypto space, anyone can take part here. I guess everyone will also say that their main goal is to get certain benefits from investing. my advice is never to use all your money only for investment projects., manage your financial management wisely.

The survey on Bitcointalk is quite a good way to get a robust opinion on what cryptocurrency enthusiasts want. I am a sucker for low circulation supply coins with tight Tokenomics (zero or little bounty and airdrop), minimal bonus and high duration lock ups as well as having a minimum value product as well

just a project loses the meaning of its existence if they do not have their own product. if there is no product or service, then this does not turn into a project, but simply into a financial pyramid

I will list a few things:
1- Usefulness
2-Number of Tokens
3-Team
4-Punctuality with the roadmap
5-Transparency with clients / bounty hunters

My main requirement and priority in any crypto project is the transparency and publishing the quarterly financial reposts in time. The team members should be able to handle the bad market year and I can't remember the name of a promising project which had similar goals.

the questionnaire is good, and in my opinion among all the categories you listed there is very important and can help your team to develop better projects.

The questions are pretty simple with 3 options to choose only but I am curious whether you are really going to use the data that you have gathered for your incoming launch of alt coin offering.

Because the question is very simple, there are chances that 50% of the answers are made without reading the questions or understanding it at all so I am a little bit worried about the overall results. But the idea is great by the way.

Any investment in the crypto market should have certain convictions. First of all, faith in the area in which you invest.
After all, it makes no sense to invest your money in those things that in the future may not be needed by anyone, but they give you advice on investing in them. You must have a good understanding of the trends and where everything is going.

In everything that we are doing, let's always check out our goal, what's our aim why we will enter investing? For sure all of us will tell that we wanted to earn, but, let's be specific, what are we going to do with our earnings, is it for our daily needs, for payment of bills, for future, let's have a goal with our every earnings and let's stick to it. Once we earned, let's not just spend it in gadget or any other unnecessary things, let's maximize our fund first.
