Title: Propersix- requesting comments on ANN thread as part of airdrop
Post by: Rikafip on November 08, 2019, 10:47:02 AM
If anyone checked Altcoin section lately, you probably noticed Propersix Ann thread  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196005.msg52878288#msg52878288) being constantly spammed by newbie accounts, and messages deleted by moderators. I've been reporting that spam for last few days, but  that situation looked a bit weird. So i decided to check a bit more why do they keep making new newbie accounts. Everything was obvious when i checked   their Telegram group. Supersix team set Ann threads comments  as one of the requirements to get their tokens through airdrop. Since there is no KYC, people just keep making new accounts and spamming the thread.

Here are  airdrop requirements from  ICOmarks  (https://icomarks.com/airdrop/propersix)website

People even asked them that on their Telegram group, and they confirmed that it is mandatory

As you can see they even suggest  people to make bitcointalk account in case they don't have one.

Most giveaway threads are no longer allowed in the Alternate cryptocurrencies sections. From now on, posting or replying to such threads could result in being banned. Existing threads will be locked.

Specifically, you are not allowed to give people any incentive to post insubstantial posts in your threads. You can't offer to pay people who post their addresses, usernames, etc. You can do giveaways off-site and link to the giveaway page in a thread, but you can't give people any bonus for replying to your thread.

Similar threads are already restricted to Games and Rounds in the non-altcoin sections, but the giveaway-related post volume is so high in the altcoin sections that I've decided to just ban them entirely here.

So i guess Propersix thread should be locked and users that post those one-liners banned?

Instead, you should lock your thread because Meta board already has a thread for spam report. Please bring it to this one and keep all spam reports in a single thread: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers for more than a year.  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4720640.0)
I checked the ANN thread of Propersix and did not see spam from Newbies or their posts already deleted?

For next similar cases, you can report to that thread of Spambuster club.

If total spammers and their spam posts are limited, you can report them case by case, post by post.
If total spammers and their spam posts are huge, you can report one of spammer, one of spam posts and leave a comment in your report message like this:
Quote
Spam, please handle it and check lots of spam posts in the same thread.
And @LoyceV will give you his hands if you report in the Spambuster club.

Thanks, i will do that.

Moderators are constantly deleting newbie posts there, that's why there is no many left, yesterday and today i reported approximately 35 posts. At one point there was several pages of that spam, but now it is down to 1 page.
