Smells like scam.
No one is going to message you on telegram only to find out you want the buyer to pay you first only for you to disappear. Come on dude this kind of scam attempts are too common and you are wasting your time if you think anyone will take your word for it.

On the odd chance I am wrong, prove yourself by postnig a signed message from the wallet address that has your BTC in it. Else just get lost.

You can sell it on the local exchange just like https://localbitcoins.com/ if you really wanted to sell your bitcoin at the lowest price.
I'm not criticizing you but usually, scammers are newbie rank and we can't trust random people on the internet and I think no one will bite your offer if you are not using middle man(escrow service).

Okay, let say that you are afraid of passing KYC and you want to bypass it. Create a topic here (Currency exchange (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0)) that you want to sell your bitcoin in exchange for PayPal(if you have and directly send to your bank account). Why telegram? Can you sign message?
You can sell in paxful, localbitcoin.this sites are trusted.you can sell your btc in this forum using escrow.You are Newbie and in this forum no one know you.So better to use escrow or you have to send first ( if buyer is reputed). You can exchange you btc for paypal,payza,perfect money.

I smell something fishy with what you're trying to do. Why sell it personally if there are exchanges that you can automatically sold it. There are also known sites like localbitcoins where you can sell it as mentioned.

Don't bite this offer guys. OP might give some instructions that can lead you to something you're unfamiliar or can lose your funds as you trade with him.

why don't you just sold your bitcoin by yourself?

I feel weird, people who have 0.5 bitcoin but don't know how to sell it, I'm sure people who already have 0.5 bitcoin are not beginners, and of course already know a lot about crypto especially about how to sell it, I think he is a liar who likes to make nonsense.

How did you get your Bitcoin and from that you must know where to sell.

He may have bought these coins in the past, they had no value in the past.

Looks like he is trying to refer memebers towards his betting services like the telegram name suggest. Or he is one of the guy who got lucky on their bet and won the jackpot but dont know how to cashout those winning.

If bitcoin is legal in your country than make a quick google search, you will find some local exchanges and you can sell it without getting into trouble. If its illegal to trade bitcoin than exchange it for perfectmoney like unregulated payment processor and find people who are willing to buy PM for local fiat.  ;)
