That looks to me to be just a generic italicized font. Big corporations like Google for example create their own fonts so that nobody can truly copy them online/anywhere. Title: Re: Bitcoin font Post by: ryepdx on March 31, 2011, 04:51:30 AM Actually, I think I just accidentally discovered it. It looks like it's the bold-italic variant of a Google webfont called Ubuntu:
http://www.google.com/webfonts/preview#font-family=Ubuntu I dunno, the font is pretty evocative for me. I definitely like it, at any rate. And it's not like we need a custom font. We just need a good, solid font. Helvetica gets used everywhere, but it still works for most people. (A list of logos that use Helvetica: http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/03/40-excellent-logos-created-with-helvetica/ (http://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2009/03/40-excellent-logos-created-with-helvetica/)) Edit: Big corporations like Google for example create their own fonts so that nobody can truly copy them online/anywhere. Actually, it may be less common than you think. Google, for example, is using a typeface created back in 1982.
