I just want to ask and share some update about this lockup program of Kucoin Exchange. I know this post will caught your attention coz it's all about annualized return. They announced that Lockup users of the first round can get an extra 20% annualized return besides the base return rate of 30%, up to 50% annualized return in total. If the price of kucoin dump 100% after the lock up period then the 20% to 50% interest is not sufficient to cover the loss unless kucoin is a stable coin then it will be fine.

I don't really like the idea of locking volatile cryptocurrencies or tokens long-term unless maybe it's a solid project. Such mouth watering annual return is probably not a guaranteed or no? Stuff like this is better on solid stablecoins or even Bitcoin. People should probably understand the exchange Terms & conditions before locking up their funds. And it's going to be round per round basis as the first round will take time for a month as mentioned in the article.
I don't understand the lock-up period if it says 'annualized return' if the period is within 30 days. |
