Honestly, I'd prefer HTML5/ Javascript over Flash since it's a dying technology.

It's a pain to run and update it too.

You're absolutely right.
This is my last meal with flash player.

If converting the game from flash to html5 is feasible in your case, please consider it. I think all major browsers have flash disabled by default in 2019.

Great game! There are, however, a few bugs:

  • When starting a new game or getting a game over while in full-screen mode, the background is misaligned. Switching to full-screen during the game works fine though.
  • Game over text is the same whether you win or lose. (Actually, am I even supposed to win after ~25 million bitcoin power or did I just hit a kill screen?)
  • Probability of spammers can (and on the later levels, will) exceed 1.00.
  • Tooltips block you from clicking other interface elements (particularly affects theymos powers).
  • Airdrops (and possibly other items, I haven't checked) can have non-integer price.
  • Level 3+ airdrops cover the entire screen, killing absolutely everything. Handy beyond wave 20 or so, but a tad overpowered on earlier waves and probably not intentional. :)

Yeah, man, I'm talking to a friend of mine who's a javascript expert.
I will update the latest developments here, depending on which platforms we will publish the game on.

Please refer to additional information if you would like to examine it.

Thanks for the feedback :)
I didn't want to make a detailed correction until I finished what I wanted to add to the game.
But with a few big forum members, we're trying to find and fix the bugs in the game.
I wrote down what you said.I'll check and correct the errors as quickly as possible.
In the first release I thought the game should be a bit simple.
I want people to finish this game and see what's going on.
The faster you use skills, the harder it will be to use in the future.
So it's a good choice to wait for the best moment :)

Danny, thank you for this nice game.
You chose an interactive path and allowed members to 'touch' your work. With this application you have brought together the bitcointalk.org family.
I know you continue to complete the shortcomings. I wish you success in your business. God bless you

That's the only reason I haven't looked at the game itself, and just taken a look at the screenshots of the game. I hate Flash with a passion, and try to avoid using it all together. Unfortunately, when doing my degree my university insists on using Flash based elements.

I remember playing these on Myyearbook (meetme) ages ago. Basically an unending horde fighting game. I think it boils down to how much tolerance you have. I usually get tired of these kinds of games within the first 5 minutes. Unfortunately, you did not do anything unique enough to increase the attention span of users like myself.

However, you gave me a good dose of nostalgia and I commend you for the effort.

Hi dannybrown,

You made a great game and I nominated screenshot of your game to the 10th anniversary art contest, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5193860.msg53143374#msg53143374.
You can apply them by yourself, officially, but if you want to do it, do it now because the contest will end very soon (few hours, ~ 5 hours, left), at Nov 22 18:04:28 UTC

The tower defense mechanics of the game work great, it's a unique project, a legit example of the tower defense genre with an original BTT theme.

It can be one of the most competitive free games out there if it's also imbued with some RPG elements, for example a player character gaining some new abilities / stats as the levels progress, 1 on 1 encounters, etc...

What makes this game fun is the bitcointalk forum theme and  Physics Mechanics in the game.Simple but fun.ıt it's also full of content.
It also contains hundreds of different character texts.
Things that will make you laugh or think when you play in a short time.
You can't play this game for hours. But when you play, it makes you happy to see different things all the time.
I've never seen a game to this concept with such physics mechanics before.

designed entirely for the forum.

But not for long; soon browsers will be dropping Flash support altogether. The long-term solution to download the .swf file to one's hard drive and open it in a standalone Flash player (which Adobe somewhat inexplicably hides on their developer page (https://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/debug_downloads.html), but presumably they'll make it more visible once nobody has any use for the browser plugin version).

I think we'll get the game out in more detail on a different platform. Not certain, but most likely. :)
I think we have a lot to add.

In addition, I aim to make a more interactive game.
and I will try to make the scoring system online and visible.

There are three thousand forum members in the game.
I add new members as I get the message.

Perhaps it makes sense to publish a list of all players mentioned in the game in a separate updatable text file.
Also you can make a short guide to the game with a description of the characteristics. You can add some kind of music and a table with the best game results.
Players might be awarded with the ranks in the game (Brand New / Newbie / Jr. Member / Member / Full Member / Hero / Legendary) depending on the amount of Bitcoin Power they could earned.

I made an excel table. The names of the members in the game are included.

I can do something about the guide.

I think to add royalty-free music to the game after the end of the competition.

I especially liked "It says administrator under my name not president" and if I remember correctly there was something like "scammers are often stupid". GameKyuubi punching bankers, reptiles and other people who are against bitcoin, well, that was epic.

Hey #dannybrown thanks for making the 10 year Bitcointalk.org very special. A lot of people might complain about silly things like graphics quality

and what not, but most of them have never developed anything like this on their own, so they do not know how much time and effort goes into

developing a basic game like this.  ::)  They should also remember that big budget games are done with a team of people over several years. You

deserve a lot of credit and merit for doing this.   ;D ;D

:D :D :)  you're really great.
I can't blame them.Yeah,graphically, I can't give much away.
I worked 20 days to design the game from scratch.
And then I had to correct the mistakes in the game.
I would love to do a lot of graphics and effects, but it's not possible for me to do so many things on my own in such a short time.
I tried to bring the game to a level that was playable in terms of content.

I'm having a hard time to play the game  ;D ;D it was hard to aim using arrows.
Flash player was kinda old school these days but it still works, a lot of options are missing in the game I want to play in full screen.
Also developing a simple game like this was kinda hard I admire your skills just continue what you are doing I'm happy to play your other soon developed games.
It has a very nice concept and it was really fun to play if you are winning. ;D

Great work man! all the compliments are well deserved. the game is a great way to pass some time. although I thought the game would be easy to beat or reach a higher level(waves), I was wrong.
I probably could if only I don't suck at aiming. I miss most of my aims and runs out of arrows. anyway, I will wait for further updates/upgrades in the future. again, great work!

Congrats on the game !!

It is bloody good.

May I give you some suggestions :

1) add a "pause" button. For toilet breaks.
2) add a x1.5 or x2 speed button to speed up the game
3) add explaination of what the bonus do
4) on the top left corner, there is a level and then a progress bar. Maybe add the progress in % or number / total
5) mission lvl 1, explain what is the goal, is there more than 1 mission ? how do we know if we are close to finishing the mission

Maybe there is a bug on my web-browser, but i am always out of arrows.
I would start a wave with like 180 arrows and after 5 or 6 spammers I'm out.
Constantly have to use my "power" to buy arrows.

Also, would anyone be able to write a cheat list of the game, like the best strategy to play for more than 3 minutes.
I guess i usually don't play games, so i'm not great, but I contently lose during wave 2 with the castle (top left) being LVL 2 and my towers being Lvl 3 or 4

Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome game, I just wish I was better at it !

Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome game, I just wish I was better at it !

When I created the game, I didn't want to include certain things in the skeletal system.
And trying to add them now will cause some events to deteriorate.
Example.
I made a mistake using the Timer class and the event managers together.
I fixed a few, but I still use 2 large systems together in the main structure.
Speeding up the game and stopping it can disrupt the game structure.
All of these plugins will work correctly in the new version.

If you're running out of arrows, that's the only reason.Too many intruders have entered the forum.
You need to use all your bitcoin power to get new infos.

I will add fantasy mode to the game (only for this version))
I think I'll publish it in 1-4 days.
This will help you play faster.

There are about 20 missions in the game.
It's a good idea to show when the new task is complete :)

I care about all your comments.
Thank you for your wonderful comments.

Nice development, I tried opening the game but it was interrupted, I guess it the network issue but I will keep trying, you have done a great job. With this, one can still make some coin while you catch fun big time. This should be supported as it is going to be an interesting package for the betterment and promotion of bitcoin.
