Not a fair launch at all!!!!!!!!!!!

Over 100k blocks already LOL

Dont bother, devs will sell and close up shop

The first block was released on April 26, 2018.
Is this the new thread of the old project?
What is the blockchain size of your coin, synchronization takes too long?

We first built the project and integrated it into document management systems. It is not a project where the actual use "is only planned". Rather, it is already actively used for document revision.

A history can be found at https://documentchain.org/2019/11/18/the-first-year/

The blockchain has a size of approx. 65 MB.

You have written: "Documentchain allows you to record files of any size or music tracks worldwide in a comprehensible way."
I do not quite understand how these files are stored. Are they stored on the blockchain or in the user's wallet?
Since the size of the blockchain weighs only 65 megabytes, it obviously does not contain files, which means that I misunderstand something. )

Post by: Documentchain on November 20, 2019, 04:18:50 PM
The file itself remains with the user and does not have to be published. Only the hash value is stored on the blockchain.

For example, let's look at a musician who comes up with a great new melody. The song isn't finished yet, a publication isn't possible yet. Already in this early phase he can play the melody as an MP3 file or a sheet of music on his computer and simply drop it into the wallet. The file hash is stored in a blockchain transaction and is now tamper-resistant and permanently stored. He now has proof that he already had the idea for this song at that time, without having to publish it.

In discord was asked whether Documentchain can also be used in applications that are not programmed in C but in Delphi.
Yes, that is possible. We have published a sample code on github: https://github.com/Krekeler/api-example-pas/

No nodes ?
My wallet works with the following peers:
107.174.203.97:41319
91.200.100.209:41319
Try adding them to DMSCore.conf
Or through the console with the command - addnode "node".

There are no addnodes needed.
The fixed seed nodes can be found here https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/blob/master/contrib/seeds/nodes_main.txt,
for the masternode list see https://documentchain.org/explorer/?search=masternodelist#dest

I will try a synchronization with 91.200.100.209 later.

Normally, I'd suspect a firewall. Are other wallets already running on the computer or is it new? Does the wallet have connections (dms-cli getinfo)?

Hi!

The Discord link has expired. I've been interested what hashrate you people get on YescryptR32 on your specific hardware. For myself i run a 192 Core Arm A53 Cluster that uses 160W (at the wall) at around 1.55kh/s using 24 8 core android tv boards. Those boards run armbian (debian) with an an arm yescrypt miner (https://github.com/glukolog/cpuminer-opt).

cheers!

EDIT: i get only ~300H/s on my 1050ti at 75W (GPU wattage only. Not at the wall...)

The Discord link works for me.

YescryptR32 is optimized for CPU mining. For example 800 H/s with E5-2630v4 2,20 GHz on 20 Threads.

30 DMS (plus document fees) is correct. Can be seen in the last blocks in Explorer
https://documentchain.org/explorer/

Currently 17.4 for miner and 12.6 for masternode.

I saw information on pool: Reward - 17.458 DMS

Now everything is clear, thanks. )

i have question here = is this platform recognised by any government authority or regulating body to conduct this kind of notarization business? like the Notary Public which are appointed by the Govt Authority.
should be in some way has the legal power to handle the notarization of someones work so in case of a battle, you have solid ground to hold onto...

Hello, AmoreJaz. The blockchain transaction provides the technical proof that you already owned the document at the specified time. This will increase the evidence assessment in court. Unsecured electronic evidence has little probative value because it can be modified. This is where Documentchain comes with tamper-proof transactions.

We know that we are early in this topic. But in the meantime it has also reached the authorities. See e.g.
China’s Supreme Court Rules (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5025701.0)
"Beweisführung" (proof) in Blockchain Strategy of the German Federal Government (https://www.bmwi.de/Redaktion/DE/Publikationen/Digitale-Welt/blockchain-strategie.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=12)

We have updated our roadmap (https://documentchain.org/roadmap/) and added the next steps.

Do you think you can attract users that would be willing to deposit their respective documents on your platform?
I think the bottleneck that you will encounter here is for the users to know that your services are in existence.
Without customers, the platform itself will not survive in the long run.
And based from this thread, I don't think you are attracting potential customers here.

A masternode is normally hosted on a Linux VPS. Windows is unusual, but possible. Do you have / does the Windows PC have a fixed IPv4?

Yes I have a 24/7 running computer with a Windows OS and a static IPv4 address.

I can run a node using only your official Windows wallet? Or do I need to use other software and Linux operating system?

Important: It is safer to operate the master node on a separate computer. In most cases a Linux VPS is hosted by a provider. The local Windows Wallet is typically used to control the Masternode and to store the DMS Coins.

Operating a Masternode on Windows

The Windows computer needs a static IPv4 and the opened port 41319.

1. Encrypt the wallet (https://dms.cash/support/wallet/?item=encryptWalletAction#searchresult) with a secure password. Write down the password in a safe place.

2. Follow the step "1. In the wallet software “DMS Core” on your local computer" (https://documentchain.org/support/masternodes/)

3. Select "Tools | Open Wallet Configuration File" in Wallet main menu and paste
Code:
rpcuser=dmsrpcuser
rpcpassword=MyPassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
listen=1
daemon=1
maxconnections=125
masternode=1
masternodeprivkey=5VNdUDTqdh…
externalip=123.123.123.123:41319
to the file (dms.conf).
Edit RPC user and password. masternodeprivkey from step 2. exernalip is your IPv4 followed by ":41319"
Save dms.conf.

4. Follow the steps (https://documentchain.org/support/masternodes/) "3. DMS Core on your local computer" and "5. DMS Core on your local computer"

The wallet must run 24/7.

Their roadmap is quite vague for now. Maybe, they can't tell specifics here yet so it most items for 2020 are still projected.
But I hope the team can give us precise dates or months once they have assess their situation in implementing their objectives for this year.

So,why we need another useless coin?
many coins existed can deal this,bitcoin,ethereum,and so on.

Before you release a coin just for money raise,think a bit more,the market is becoming more mature.

Tether DMS/USDT: https://graviex.net/markets/dmsusdt

We wish you a successful and healthy year 2020
congratulations!  price of DMS is not too bad for recent pow size coins, because usually coins will fall in the price of 1-10sat, but this is at 120sat which might last a long time. I will try to do mining

When in 2020 you we will activate a web service, payment for uploading documents will only with the DMS coin?

It will be possible to pay the fees using simple methods. The web service is targeted at users who do not want to deal with crypto currencies.

What does this mean, will some special gateways be opened for conversion FIAT>DMS? After all, the coin is needed to confirm the data in the DMS blockchain.
And...

Such a function could be integrated into block explorer. Currently, however, the document index (searching by file hash and GUID) is more important.

Well i just found the link on the first or second page with all nodes. Goes fast now :D

I was waiting 4 hours to get headers sync at 70%...

Got an 1gbit connection and a sweet Ryzen cpu, thats not the issue. Wallet just did not automaticly connect to the nodes (like they are not hard-coded in the wallet)..

Yes, that's right. If you add nodes with the addnode= command, the process is accelerated. I think the developers upload all the chain on any file sharing sites. This could speed up the synchronization process.

Addnodes are not needed. Seed nodes are included in the code, see https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/blob/master/contrib/seeds/nodes_main.txt

Synchronizing: First the block headers are synchronized with 1 or 2 connections. Then the whole blocks can be loaded with up to 8 parallel connections.
DMS Core needs a long time for the first step. Depending on the hardware it takes approx 1 to 3 hours to load the headers. During this time, no progress can be seen in the daemon, "dms-cli getinfo" prints 0 blocks.

The project looks peachy and has already received a plenty of community approval. But the guy behind the project is a kook. In fact, he is a googlefag or googloid. He googled for Jay-z, found some article and put an excerpt from it in the OP. Googled for another musician and put that in the OP as well. Just a typical google-idolatry. We need to stop googling. Brain is a fragile organ in a sense that it can be damaged by interaction with google. Technologies do eat up our brain. Ohh if I were fifty years younger I would whip all of u with my heavy military belt, leaving traces of my buckle on ur posterior.

Yes, 2 exchanges are more than sufficient as of right now. Better develop the platform first to show some progress before thinking of adding another exchange. It is better to have good foundation and use case in actual operations so the demand for the coin will be higher rather than focus on exchange listing. If there will be a lot of clients, it means, they have business and that means they can sustain their value in the market.

Ok. Then why 117 (Enabled) - 108 (Qualify) = 9 nodes not involved in the queue? What does it depend on?
And now reward 12.9 >> 13.2 for masternode?

2. Random.

The number is not constant. You find this in many Mastenode Coins. Enter "masternode count qualify" in debug console to get the currentvalue. If the command is not available, enter "getmasternodecount" and look for the result "inqueue".
If this interests you in detail, see https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/blob/master/src/masternodeman.cpp#L516

There have been some requests for a shared masternode service. We have now integrated such a service into the Discord Bot.
Advantage: The coins remain in the owner's wallet and do not have to be given to a third party. As with a complete masternode, the coins may not be spent (locked coins).
Each Discord user can rent up to 7 shares of 500 DMS (500 = 10th MN).

Instructions:
1. Create a new receiving address.
2. Send exactly 500 DMS to this address and wait for 15 confirmations.
3. Go to the Discord (https://discord.gg/Zhz8BQV) channel #shared-mn and enter "!shared-mn-add (txid)".

Only our own Nodes are affected, which we have released for this service. This has no relevance for other masternodes!

And so that part of your masternodes you split into a x10 number of mini-masternodes. In addition, their owners do not need to rent VPS and monitor their continuous operation. Sub rent system.

The document index now allows a revision with a web browser. To do this, the file hash is entered in the Explorer search or the file is simply dragged and dropped into the search field. The browser calculates the hash and then searches for the corresponding transaction. See https://documentchain.org/news/document-index/
This is also a first step for the planned web service.

Crex24.com has made an wallet update and asks to generate new addresses for DMS deposits.
Before you send new coins to the exchange, please:
- go to Account
- scroll to DMS Documentchain
- click on +
A new address is generated. Use this for future deposits.

The Discord bot (https://discord.gg/Zhz8BQV) will now help you with the price calculation. Previously it was difficult to calculate the price in USDT or ETH to trade on Graviex. The "!price" info now shows you the converted prices, which were calculated weighted from all trading pairs.

Above you can see, for example, that the current USDT price on Graviex is too low.

Tomorrow the block reward will decrease from 30 to 20 DMS.

After that, only minor adjustments will be made for the time being. The division between miners and masternodes will be adjusted. In three months there will be 10 DMS for miners and 10 for masternodes.

The next reduction will not occur for another 2.5 years.

How can it bring something they cannot offer anyway?

The Blockchain is specialized for document revisions. When we were looking for a suitable blockchain for our DMS, we kept running into problems. The required storage area was too small. We need a blockchain where we can rely on the fact that the hashes could be stored in the future. With Bitcoin, for example, this storage was subsequently reduced.

Documentchain Web API

In 2020 we will launch a web service that allows users to easily deposit documents without having to install the wallet software “DMS Core”. This increases the acceptance and the number of users.
The service will be available as a website and as an API to be accessed from document management systems and other software.
At https://api.documentchain.org/ you can follow the development progress and test it yourself.

Some recent information about the project.

In the last few days there have been interruptions on the website documentchain.org. The reason are problems in the provider's virtualization environment. Since it seems to be a long time process, we moved documentchain.org to another server, the site is accessible again without problems.

The WebAPI is already in beta testing with the archiving software Office Manager DMS (https://www.officemanager.de/handbuch/blockchain.html). Users no longer need a local wallet with the API.

In the current DOK.magazin there is a multi-page article about blockchain and documentchain (also online in german at https://dokmagazin.de/geschickt-verschickt-dokumente-in-der-blockchain/). The magazine is especially well known in our document management community.

The bold news to come ate the headlines across the broad internet. This is why the hash is on the rise. Give it a two weeks time, max three weeks, then watch the hearsay to blow up the internet. They have big news circling the newsreel which adds pressure to naturally growing agitation. They have recently partnered with a company that distributes canned foods made out of human flesh. DMS, Documentchain's cryptocurrency, is now listed on altilly.com.
altilly is a crypto exchange from Hodler Enterprises (https://hodler.enterprises/) based in the Netherlands and Sweden.
A third exchange is particularly important for our project in order to meet the requirements for listing the market capitalization on coinmarketcap.com. altilly also offers the direct purchase of BTC with credit card. Although this is not interesting for experienced crypto traders, it is for Documentchain users who need coins for document revisions.

You can trade with Bitcoin, Litecoin, Doge and Pyrk

Does it contain the IP of the peer in this notation example:

addnode=45.7.230.51:41319

OR

45.7.230.51:41319

The peers i got off Guthub dont help , wallet still says connecting to peers.

Also noted, the wallet takes ages to shutdown ~ 3 minutes maybe

It took it's time to connect but it did it in the end for me.

Seems like a coin with potential at this moment, only 1/3rd of the coins have been even mined yet.

Addnodes are not necessary, there are seed nodes stored in the code.
The first synchronization takes a while.
The slow termination is due to the fact that the headers are synchronized in the beginning.

This looks like pretty high-grade stuff to me, well done!

Any revival of the classic Namecoin project and NMC features -- now mostly abandoned, it seems -- are greatly appreciated here!

BTW -- you might want to tell that Blockchain-Insider writer of this http://www.blockchain-insider.de/documentchain-setzt-auf-flits-wallet-a-993055/ article to familiarize himself with *DAS wallet*, *DAS Portemonnaie* (nicht "die"!!), on the other hand *DIE coin*/*DIE Muenze* (nicht "der Muenze*) etc-yada-yada. (This really sucks, especially when a "writer" like that guy doesn't know any better in his native language...) There are very easy-to-follow Ho-tos for this in the first section of Duden's Vol 1 -- Rechtschreibung. It might help if you told him, thank you.

Having sifted through all the info over on flits.app, I am now trying to figure out which (other) Cryptos flits.app supports beyond Flits and DMS tokens. Any info would be appreciated. Also, an easy-to-follow manual on the setup process for the Flitswallet integration with DMS would be great.

Please could you also let me know what the DMS acronym stands for in the first place? (No mention yet in the docs I saw, incl OP, ANN post here or that dude's article I referenced above.)

These would sure help marketing DMS and making your coin accessible to potential users (more adoption, higher success rate for your project). But, as I said earlier, great work so far!

According to linguistic feeling, many people write "die Wallet" in German. It happens to me too, even though I know it's actually called "das Wallet".

We are happy to announce the new DMS Core release "Ivan"
Documentchain was originally developed as a fork from Dash 0.12. Version 0.13 Ivan is the main step to update the code base to current Bitcoin/Dash versions.

Notable News
1. DIP0002 - Special Transactions
This was introduced in Dash mainly for the new masternode quorum transactions. However, this also offers new possibilities for us and we are planning special document transactions.
2. DIP0003/DIP0004 - Deterministic Masternode List
More stability in masternode management and protection against 51% attacks.
3. A new information and notes page in the main window.

=> Download and instructions on github (https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/releases/tag/v0.13.3.1)

First, it is important that all miners upgrade to version 0.13 and thus agree to the DIPs.
Masternodes do not need to be updated yet. Note, however, that your masternode and your local wallet must have the same version (0.12 or 0.13) to control the MN.

DIP3 is active on mainnet (confirmed by the miners).
Please update your Masternode daemon "DMS Core" to the current version 0.13.3.1 if not already done.

Despite the small hashrate, mining is not particularly profitable, I tried mining, compared to other coins, the profit is low, it is more profitable to mine other coins and buy this one.
Perhaps it is more profitable on Ryzen, who is mining what, please share.
I like the fact that this coin is presented on the monitoring and hosting services of masternodes, I looked at the price, it is decreasing in relation to bitcoin, which makes the investment not very profitable.

When will Spork 15 be activated?
When all masternodes go to DIP3?
The gap between blocks can sometimes reach 30 minutes, very unevenly.
Will a more advanced difficulty adjustment mechanism be implemented?

There are still too few masternodes on DIP3. This will change with the next release, however, which will include a simple one-click-update to DIP3, see https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/commit/91c66145a1ac43b5442c29bf4f5bf78e3ebeaa76

The frequent long block time is due to the Yescrypt algorithm. This can certainly be improved, but it is not really a problem.

Where is Harold? Who is sending replies to the internet from this account? DIP3? I dont think its supported. Too much barking and false but zippo of sense. Will masternodes serve as repositories of knowledge, etc. the storage cells for the documents intended to be stored with DMS? I mean the documents should be stored not in the public transaction layer but in the code that is run by masternode providers.

The file hashes of the documents are stored in transactions, see https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/blob/master/dms-docs/document-revision-data.md

Of course, one could consider that masternodes also take on the function of cloud storage for the documents. But that would be a completely different topic and a big challenge for the masternodes. Legally, too, we would then be entering new territory.

Greetings, Harald

4 days ago I launched a deterministic masternode.
Enabled status. Activation was successful.
still has not received any rewards.
here is the status of the daemon from the remote node:
Code:
./dms-cli masternode status
{
  "outpoint": "0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000-4294967295",
  "service": "185.92.151.246:41319",
  "status": "Not capable masternode: Masternode not in masternode list"

here is the status from the wallet:

Code:
masternode status
This is not a masternode (code -32603)
what's the matter?

Have you started the masternode in your local wallet on the "Masternode" tab?

No, she's not there. only in the tab DIP3.
first you need to run the usual, then activate the deterministic?

We are still in the transition period. You also have to activate the classic masternode,

We are happy to announce the new DMS Core release 0.13.4 "Judy"
Judy is the mediator between version 0.13 and 0.17 - between classic and deterministic masternodes.

Notable News
1. Simple registration of a deterministic masternode. Sending the provider transaction consists of several steps. These can now be done by a simple click on "DIP3 Update" on the Masternode tab.
2. Adjustments of llmq values. Judy is the mediator between version 0.13 and 0.17 - between classical and deterministic masternodes.
3. New testnet4 deployed
4. RPC functions devgetinfo and devlistspecialtxes added

Download and instructions can be found at https://github.com/Krekeler/documentchain/releases/tag/v0.13.4.0

DIP0008 will soon be activated on Documentchain's blockchain.
Starting with block 315530, which is expected around 20:00 UTC on June 11, blocks from older miners will no longer be accepted.

Please update DMS Core to version 0.17 "Kenji" if you have not already done so.

Important Information for Masternode Operators

You may have noticed that since the DIP3 activation on May 10, 2022, all masternodes are enabled. Not a single one has failed.
This has a simple background: in the transition period from version 0.13 to 0.17 nodes are not sanctioned, not even if they go offline.
With DIP0021 "LLMQ DKG Data Sharing" the "Proof of Service" will be activated soon. Masternodes that do not work correctly will be banned.

Please keep an eye on your masternodes. If they get a pose score greater than 0, something is wrong. From a score of currently 332 (equal to the number of masternodes), they will not be further rewarded. Information can be found at https://documentchain.org/news/proof-of-service-bans/

What could cause an error in sending a transaction to remove the masternode from the ban?
Masternode launch algorithm, please!
