Click "Report To Admin" on the PM. It's not allowed and he might get banned.

I've seen (and reported) spam from that exchange in a few posts lately. Just report it.

If a user is sending unsolicited personal messages then make sure to always report that to the admin. Otherwise, its likely to go unnoticed. I'd probably recommend only sending the report to admin to global moderators included on the list, and not directly to theymos/cyrus as they likely have more time than the admins.

Just to clarify things, so do you mean that it's not necessary anymore to create a thread here in the reputation section for these types of PM advertising? And all we need to do is to click the "Report to Admin" button?

Click "Report To Admin" on the PM.
I did

I am usually working with "report to moderator" button. don't know "Report To Admin" are a different thing. So I did directly report to admin without choosing one of the moderators

I think we have to do both of them

29. Sending unsolicited PMs, including but not limited to advertising and flood, is not allowed.

I found this in the rules. The account should be banned.

In theory yeah, unless you want the community to be aware of malicious messages being sent around. "Report to the admin" will likely see consequences on the forum side of things. For example, if a user was spreading malware through personal messages then they would likely be  banned if users have reported them with the "report to admin" function.

If you believe this is a threat to the community, and others might fall victim to the malicious software its probably a good idea to post about it publicly too. Whether you want to disclose the personal message is entirely up to you though.

Agreed, it's good to report the misuse of the private messaging feature of the forum but it will be best to let the other members to know just to spread the awareness that some individuals are spreading shit through messages. I have a couple of pms as well similar to this one and I quickly have ignored all of them, but with what you have said I think I'll start reporting the next scammy pms here in the reputation section or in the scam accusation just to spread awareness.
