I've seen (and reported) spam from that exchange in a few posts lately. Just report it. Otherwise, its likely to go unnoticed. I'd probably recommend only sending the report to admin to global moderators included on the list, and not directly to theymos/cyrus as they likely have more time than the admins.

I am usually working with "report to moderator" button. don't know "Report To Admin" are a different thing. "Report to the admin" will likely see consequences on the forum side of things. For example, if a user was spreading malware through personal messages then they would likely be banned if users have reported them with the "report to admin" function. If you believe this is a threat to the community, and others might fall victim to the malicious software its probably a good idea to post about it publicly too. Agreed, it's good to report the misuse of the private messaging feature of the forum but it will be best to let the other members to know just to spread the awareness that some individuals are spreading shit through messages. I have a couple of pms as well similar to this one and I quickly have ignored all of them, but with what you have said I think I'll start reporting the next scammy pms here in the reputation section or in the scam accusation just to spread awareness. |
