It is.

i personally think that this technique is used by exchanges to make volume of particular coin or token, I'm not sure if there are other purposes for arrangement trading competitions.
The other purpose is to pump the exchange ranking on sites like coinmarketcap.

The agenda is how it's possible to earn some money through trading competitions and what are risks?
No other risk but to lose money.

When joining trading competitions, make sure you choose those held on established exchanges. This is to avoid or lessen the possibility of competing against wash traders (buying/selling their own orders).

I personally say no. Why.? if you are only a trader with small funds. You will only get a loss from competition trading. because the price is controlled by large coin holders. in addition it is a strategy to create opportunities for investors to sell their coins when purchasing at ICO. then the price will always fall. several times I saw that, and finally coin lost value. the rules for winning the competition are those who have the biggest transactions (buy and sell) so, I think those who have the biggest funds will buy and sell back quickly. so as not to lose and keep winning in the competition.

There was actually a trading competition a month back for a discord that I frequent. Its called Crypto Cartel and it had like maybe 15 entire or so.

You had to put in like 0.01 BTC to enter the competition and the results were pretty bad. Basically the top 3 made a very small profit and the 4-5 spot lost money but since they lost less than the 6-15 spots they actually made money from the pot.

I think the #1 trader made like 0.07BTC and the other 2 made very little from a 0.01BTC starting balance, the rest were all loses.

So its possible to make money this way because most traders are bad traders.

I think new trader or who have low amount of money shouldn’t join trading competition. It is risky.Because exchanger will announce Winner who Traded maximum amount. In this case new trader and low amount trader will try to trade hurry and face huge loss. So,let it go. If you have enough money and expert in trading then you can join this competition.

Yes, it is a way to make money, but that is only for traders who can win the competition.

I think that trading competitions are not for one or two coins, but all coins in that exchange and the traders need to make as much money as they can in that competition. But I don't know if there is only one coin that has been traded.

The agenda is how it's possible to earn some money through trading competitions and what are risks?

I don't try to participate in trading competitions because I don't feel that it will be easy for me to make money. Besides that, I think that I better to do usual trading than in trading competitions in those competitions. I am sure that many high-skills traders are competing with each other.

There are several forms of trading competition. One of them is to compete and see which one ended with the highest profit in percent compared to their initial capital. I think this one is not so bad as long as there are clear rules and liquidity is good enough so no one can move the market up or down as they please. The other is who got the highest profits in the number of tokens, which favors those who have better capital and small fishes will likely die if they compete in this one.

If you're a small trader, avoid the latter in any given scenario.

What do you mean by trading competitions? Getting ahead over the others by range of profit? Well it is good in a sense of you'll be forced to do exert your full effort and knowledge in trading. Though the risk in it is that it would be quite tough to monitor and minimize your loss 'cause you're been set to maximize on what you can do in such competition.

But here is my question, can you able to win the competition? If yes, then the simple answer to that question is yes.
But as mentioned above it needs a certain amount of initial capital to compete and if you have the deep pockets you need and understand the possible risks, then, it all means, to enjoy the competition not just chasing of earning a profit.

You can't easy to make money in a trading competition, it requires skills and full of knowledge. Sitting in front of a computer screen executing trade and hoping to make money while risking your money as your capital. But the result is unpredictable, earning or losing money.

it means the typical trading competition launch by exchange whenever there is a new token listing. This competition requires a trading volume is able to win. You must consider first that this competition is design for whale traders so if you are a small-time trader then don't waste time and effort to participate because whales will just trade there balance back and forth to their second wallet to sustain huge trading volume during the competition while minimizing their expenses on trading fees. Most of the competition consider only the trading volume and not the profit range. That's the sad part on this one-sided tournament of exchanges

binance often holds this event almost every month, I participated several times including the dock and mith events. I just play casually because the basis of competition only benefits large investors. This event can be a price booster of a specified duration, but it needs to be careful when approaching a deadline because prices will always fall dramatically. If you believe in your skills, just try it, we prioritize the experience first.

Mostly higher volume traders will win with this one or highest earnings. As other said it will hard to win it if you are just small traders,The fact is you can also lost if you join  instead of winnings.
Because the exchange that runs the competition only has coins selected to participate and you do not know the price trend of that coins so there are possibility of loosing your money.

You need to have a deep pockets to rank high in trading competitions as the winners are often pick based on the amount of volume they trade. Binance trading contests usually have 2 categories . The first one, You've to reach a minimum trading volume however the rewards for this category is relatively small but its easy to win. The other category is where the well versed, whales excel. You simply can't win against someone using 20-50BTC per trade.

I think it's not, In trading competitions that are held by Exchanges traders lose their money by trying to win the competition and who makes money? Exchanges these competitions are like casinos where an individual lost and casinos makes a huge sum of money.

It is a way of earning, only if you win the competition. One way or another not only you get the profit from your trade but also the price for winning them. Just like the name,
it's a competition where the the biggest earned profit by the traders will win. So you need to trade as much as you can in a period of time and how much profit you get from all those trading. The risks is there, if you're purposedly aiming to win the competition. When there're winners, there must be losers. You must have quite the knowledge about trading.

I'd say it is a good opportunity to earn additional profit from winning the competition, but sometimes it needs you to lose your capital too. Just be careful of where you gonna join the competition, if you need to do it on unpopular exchange then you probably don't need to join it as it could be a scam.

Might be, but the purpose is to attract investors on their platform. And hope that those who have joined in their competition might stay longer pushing more liquidity on their exchanges.

The agenda is how it's possible to earn some money through trading competitions and what are risks?

Obviously, if you won the competition then they should reward you. Read the competition manual follow all the rules, simply as that.

it is right to say that competition trading is an exchanger way to attract users, as well as to increase trading volume. but, it can also be used as a place to raise money. we know that competitive trading sometimes gives a huge prize to those who make the biggest trades.
in my opinion, it can be a fast way to make money, it's just that the risk of trading is unavoidable, you have to understand the risks before the trading competition. for example, you need large funds to produce a large trading volume, and also a large profit to get the prize. because of this, the risk we get is quite large, so, when you are not good at short-term trading, I suggest not to participate in this competition, and trade as usual.

For you to be able to win the trading competition, you need a wide understanding about technical analysis about charts and graphs. Not just only a deep pockets or large foundation, but on how you will make a small amount of investment and earn a lot from it. It is easy to win the Binance trading contests but first you need to gain more experience in trading and spent more money in losses.

Here everything depends on your skills as a trader, because in a competition of this kind everything will depend on your bargained volumes, in which you will lose money on commissions, as well as on your own mistakes. The second most important prize pool and its distribution.
In any case, not having enough experience, and chasing the prize, you risk losing a lot.

crypto exchanges have many ways to promote their exchanges, one of them is a trading competition, there are various kinds of competitions, some use demo accounts with point calculations, some only give prizes to champions 1-3 ,if using prizes based on points calculation might be an alternative way to get money.

It is a game for big traders who continually buy and sell to increase trading volume, but they still incur transaction fees and if the currency depreciates they will suffer a loss.
If you are not a large and professional trader I suggest you should not attend competitive deals.

For trading company owners it will be great to have the best earnings with the high amount of investment by n number of traders. Normal people will not target to make more number of trades but in these kind situation they are usually asked the traders to achieve some milestone to get bonus or something in competition.

Nailed it. This is a marketing tactic for the exchange and a way to create liquidity where there wasn't before, which provides an opportunity for people to dump their bags when they couldn't otherwise (or at least not all at once). I wouldn't participate in these unless you're one of the bigger bag holders.

If anything trading competitions are a great way to take a close look at your competitors, think about this out of 15 traders only 3 made money, that is only a 20%, which is close to what many statistics say about the profitability of traders, someone that did nothing would have won the 4 place in the competition, and if the competition had been for a longer amount of time I am sure the number of losing traders would have been even higher, more than anything trading competitions are an endorsement for long term holding.

I would rather join basic trading than the competition trading because it requires for you to have a massive amount of initial capital in order for you to survive the competition. That is very risky for a trader who did not do your own research. If you have a small capital don't attempt to join on competition in trading because you end up nothing. Just hold as much as you can for less risk and a safest way in investing bitcoin and for sure profit.

Yes it's a good way to earn a few extra cash but keep in mind the risk you will be taking in order to keep up with the competition? Remember your main reason in entering in the crypto market is to trade and earn some money and not to enter in a competition where you are facing a lot of competitors, focusing on the competition itself and not your own trade would just risk you on losing more money and it will reflect badly in your portfolio. If you are entering in one of their competition remember that you shouldn't focus on defeating your opponents but you should focus more on your portfolio and your own trading strategy.

I have never tried trading competition but this expository thread does not encourage getting involved at all, it looks more of wash trade. It is advisable to avoid it and not profitable to a large percentage of those involved especially those that were not involved in the private sale or seed.

hello crypto heroes.

As we all know now these days so many trading competitions arranged by exchanges,
i just wondering is this a way of earning?

It is. Through this marketing strategy, both traders and exchanges earn and benefit IMO. Although an exchange gives the reward regardless of its participants, the potential volume of the trades on their exchange could expand/increase exponentially in a short period of time. On the other side, professional traders could be encouraged to trade at his best thus he could be able to get the reward.

hello crypto heroes.

The agenda is how it's possible to earn some money through trading competitions and what are risks?

It doesn't make much difference in terms of risk for them because participants in this kind of competition use to do it with or without it. The competition is just a bonus profit for them if they win; if not then it's still fine because the potential profit you can make money in margin trading is more than the allocated competition reward.

In my opinion trading competition is not the best way to make money, because trading competition is profitable only for
big traders who have a lot of capital. Trading competition also used several exchanges to increase the volume of some coins,
in order to make certain coins pump. Trading competition is very risky because they have to compete with big traders, the winner
is determined by who has the biggest transactions that will win. This will be dangerous for the participant not having large capital
will be a victim, even could lose all the capital owned. My advice avoid trading competition for those who do not have large capital.

trading competition is riskier than trading in general what else for those who have capital that is not too large I guess. And yes, it is very likely that the trading competition only attracts the volume of the exchanger. Because trading competition is mostly done by new exchangers. I'm not interested in trading competitions, to be honest. You could have made a profit from the competition but it's better to take a small percentage when taking a profit I guess!

I hope it is that easy.
It is almost the same with gambling competition.
The difference though is that it is being earned by those who gamble.
A percentage of it is going to the pot until a certain time where it will be divided to the largest staking gambler.

Almost the same but the difference is trading is a difficult thing to make profit.
It takes some time if it is an altcoin. You will have to risk too much.

I think if it's made by the exchange itself it will be easily manipulated by the exchanges or a group of people who can "play" with the exchanges.
I think it's only worth if the trading compitition is held by external source from the exchange and held the competition volume exchange like binance so they can't pump and dump a coin to win the competition

In trading process, I agree that it looks like in competition in which you need to be attentive by those price you want to buy or sell. Each of us want to win or by having a lot of profits in the end as you want to trade it again, roll your profit and aiming to increase it all over. Despite of this situation it takes very much more time unless you always win it, but in the worst case it may end up by huge losses, hopefully user must aware and learn to be contented even it's not huge amount of profit.

No, I didn't mean to say people's gonna lose their capital but there are various models of trading competition and sometimes losing capital could be a strategy to win the prize.

And right, trading competition on little exchange is much more risky than on a big exchange so make sure to think other aspects than just the rewards.

I see this competition appearing to arouse the mood of traders from traded coins. This step will clearly be a trigger for prices and will certainly also have a profit effect from regular traders who are not involved. it usually happens to coins that have a break from the next big plan so they fill alternative plans and encourage them in this form. not too bad to measure the ability of me and traders who have an interest in competition.

trading Competition is not the best way to get money in crypto. the best way to get money is to follow the bounty and airdrop. follow the airdrop and the bounty does not use money it's just that we work work to follow the rules given BM or airdrop developers.

I think its best to do trading competition for big time traders. Those with large funds. Trading competition for me is for experienced traders only. I think this is so hard and traders involved in that are on its highest level of knowledge. Well, experience is a constant practice. So might as well make your chances and see the result. We can always learn from it but always play within your fund limits.

Its a good training for the newbies also. I think its best if the exchanges focus more on single token they are releasing like for instance if the exchange are releasing native tokens for example BNB/BUSD is the only pair they have to trade so that its easy to see how much volume can the native tokens be.

Its good for new exchange wanting to be listed on coinmarketcap also. That is ifthey wanted to impress people about the volume while it got listed on coinmarketcap.

For you to be able to participate in trading competition, need a lot of funds and there is high there because sometimes, the team just needs volume for their coin/token and then decides to dump during the process making the reward worthless.

As we all know now these days so many trading competitions arranged by exchanges,
i just wondering is this a way of earning?
i personally think that this technique is used by exchanges to make volume of particular coin or token, I'm not sure if there are other purposes for arrangement trading competitions.
These are all marketing techniques used by exchanges as the earnings they get is through trading fees and if there is a competition they think that they will have more users trading to win the competition and thereby they will be having the profit and so is the case with gambling sites who has wagging competitions and it is so successful that there are many users participating in those and it is a win situation for them.

The agenda is how it's possible to earn some money through trading competitions and what are risks?
Yes it is but all would depend on how you do trade on where profitability will vary out on your performance and if you do suck on trading then
you would surely lost up your capital without even reaching some significant volume you are trying to reach out.If a certain exchange do offer something
which is free like an exchange fund for you to make use on that trading competition then its also a worthy shot to try on yet you wont lose nothing
in terms of money but somehow you would waste up your time and effort if ever they wont give out the prize.

Its rare to see for an exchange to give out free money for you to trade into their platform and usually they would lock out those funds and for you to pull out those funds you would need to comply KYC verification.

Also if this is the kind of set-up your are into you should always ask for the funds to be escrowed so that everything would be smooth.

Earning with trading competition is really plausible but same as others said this wont be an easy one yet whales would be your primary enemy on here since we do talk about volume/liquidity stats on here.

First of all, You have to understand that the market is in full of competition, so as a small trader you don't have a chance to make money from your small amount because you have to pay fee whatever your amount it is, So the low volume is not suitable to the trading purpose, you need to focus another thing that the market is controlled by the big holders so staying strong in trading purpose is not an easy task for you, so trading competition is not a good way to make money for me, I usually not go this system, I think Holding and Investment is the coolest way to earn money from this platform.

Since I am not that an expert in trading too, so I stay away from trading competition as I know that there were lots of trading expert our there, instead I just focused on what I can do at the moment and maximizing it, maybe if I will be that expert then I will join trading competition, and it will take few more years before I become expert as I am not that full time in trading.

Every master was a beginner. If you are not too good or don't consider your skills sufficient enough to be part of competitions, then you must give yourself a try and discover the truth practically. To achieve big, you need to think big first. You can try demo accounts for improving your trading skills. Those really lend a hand in progressing. No risks are involved at all but a considerable learning is.

TBH even if the main agenda is not about the exchanges, I would say that exchanges do it specifically to increase the volume as well as gain a lot of fees from those trades because many noobs perform wash trades (scalping type trades) and believe they have arranged the volume needed to win some part.

Groupify it
I think you need to get a group of trustworthy people interested in doing group of trading all through one account, thus giving you higher chances of winning the competition.

Never do wash trades
Urgent trades will just not get you anywhere but make you lose a lot in fees and such trades are considered invalid, so doing them will not bring in win.

Spot better entry/exit points
These competitions give a boost to some unknown, yet reputed alts which get a chance to be on top all the time while being traded on the exchange most of the time. If you can spot better entry and exit points by switching to 30 mins and higher time-frames, you can be rest assured that even if you don't win something in the competition, you are still a winner in terms of making good profits because these coins always get volume needed to pump that coin higher and even if you get 10-20% from these coins, then it's free money for you on your investment.

Or probably there are none? I never thought of a business that gives you money just to buy at them. What I know is a bonus system on an exchange and different platform, after depositing a specific amount of money or regularly trading on their exchange. But yes, KYC verification is a must. They must assured that you don't have any derogatory record and is safe under their premises.

Earning with trading competition is really plausible but same as others said this wont be an easy one yet whales would be your primary enemy on here since we do talk about volume/liquidity stats on here.
Trading is fun until it gets harder when there are whales playing around, sometimes they are harsh on the market, sometimes they are very showy. Indeed they are the one having great impact on the market, and we are just a tiny fraction running around the graphs. Am I alone believing that every exchange has a group of whales? And they are not close to each other? and they just know who are their competitors?

Personally i don't see any profit generating capabilities from crypto trading competition.  Trading competition is just a means for team and big investors holding a large chunk of the token to dump without being noticed.  That is why at the end of every trading competion the price of the token dumps and the volume increase. To Maximize profit from trading competion you need to be a big bag holder of that said token. Experinced and knowledgeable traders will also benefit from trading competion

Of course, following the good advice of professionals, adhering to certain rules and having good knowledge of trading, you can get not a bad income from cryptocurrency trading, without any problems replacing any work, including physical labor.  But you need to consider some facts that affect the results of the trader.  This is primarily experience and professionalism, as well as the current situation on the cryptocurrency market.  As an example, we can take what is happening on the market today, November 21.  Many beginners with big eyes look at the reviews of many traders about the results of their activities and such incomes drive people crazy who think that trading and getting good results is very easy.

Not always, trading competition is another way to test your skill in limit time. Best way is keep trying with calculation. Trading is not for profit but to grow up your fund, method always change and never forget about stop loss and take profit point. But if you already success with competition I think you should try again.

That's only good to do trading when you have enough funds to capitalize for a competition. I won't advice anyone whose interested with this type of promotion, since it was too dangerous for some newbies to fall potential trading manipulations. Not all trading exchanges can be trusted on this certain aspects, because a reputable exchange promise us good returns on our investments. They won't promote a competition while in a bearish market like what's currently happening now, red market occured badly and most price of crypto were all in a downfall trend.

If we are talking about trading, it is just an exchange of something or commonly in using the cryptocurrency trading of money, but are we lost on trade?. Most of the time we are looking forward to earning and profit, no one wants to lose their money just in a mistake. In trading, you must to have good knowledge and skills on how and when is the right time only to trade your money. There are only two players on trading, the winner who takes advantage of proper trading and get more profit, and the loser who got lose to their income because of mistake.

In trading, you must have a lot of experience and knowledge of the proper techniques and process as an advantage because not all the time you trade, you can get a profit. One of the ways to win every trade is knowledge and playing safe or avoiding to have a loss of income.

Having a profit is a way to grow your funds in which will able to increase your money but somehow it needs to control. Earning money in trading process is like a gambling in which you will able to take a risk by doing those sell and buy like as you bet in gambling. Also, depending on the users perspective as the value is so volatile and needs a proper way in trading, hoping to earn a huge amount of profit in the end.

I think it's different thing because trading skills is not for competition and trading skill is not able to compete because each trader has different way to trade, some traders are doing a long term trade like 6 month before they sell their trade but if the trading competition have the time limit, thosenkind of traders are not able to compete even they have really good skills of trades

Reason why exchanges have lucrative trading competition rewards is to lure more traders which is going to bring income to them for their every trade so its just an advertisement but directly to the user not to any other person. But I don't see it as way of earning because no one can make the trading profits constant so its more like gambling and looking for rewards.

All things would really be tried out by people who are longing on making money even on slightest chances.Making money with trading competition is plausible specially if its being provided on some sort of exchange fund to trade one which is already a worthy or good deal for a free player/trader to engage on.

Yes, its part of marketing on general sense and most of the time they are just trying to make up some volume on said coin by means of these competitions.

Just like everything that involves trading Cryptocurrencies, trading competition requires a great deal of luck to earn money from it, starting from the fact that you might not even win it at all in the first place to the fact that Cryptocurrencies are very volatile and in price and could start high and by the end of the competition, the price is now so low that you have lost a good chunk of your money from bad trading and trading fees that not even the price could cover the cost, so ilike I said, it's a good way of earning if you're a a very lucky sort.

Trading competition is not suitable for some traders who have limited funds because your chances of winning is very low as long as there are large holder of coin or have huge amount of funds that will participate then they will be always the winner at the end but somehow I think other traders participate on this for short-term to gain a quick profit.

The trading competitions are not only a good way to earn money but also a good way to test your skills and also enhance your way of learning. When you are in a trading competition, you are expected to perform best but you should also remember that you don't need to be perfect. You can make mistakes which you can use as your teacher in order to learn more and become better.

In forex trading competitions the stringent rules and regulations for competitors always makes it hard for them to win the competitions from my point of view I believed its better for a good trader to personally source for funds and invest in a reputable exchange and engage in trading rather than embanking on the stressful trading competition whose outcome might not be fruitful and time wasteful.

Honestly you can't trade without any risk. Even when you are in trading competition or not there is not an safe way or less risk way. If we talk about trading competition it has both benefits between traders and coin. It is bring more benefits to the coin because it is a good marketing about the coin and project. In the part of traders it will only a benefits if you have enough knowledge about trading because if not it is close to loss.

Exchanges conduct competition for marketing , to increase trading volume and to get more commission well we should be know this things and be careful not to take too risky trades and do more trading and lose our money , i avoid this competitions , if traders are participating and they shoould know what they are doing and not to turn this competitions in to gambling , just to win

For people who are already adept at trading, they can make this competition as a tool for profit. But for beginners this is very high risk. Trading crypto is not as complicated as fiat trading, but the price movements are clearly different. I am still learning how to do this today. Maybe if one day I have mastered it, I will also take part in the competition.

Not always, trading competition is another way to test your skill in limit time. Best way is keep trying with calculation. Trading is not for profit but to grow up your fund, method always change and never forget about stop loss and take profit point. But if you already success with competition I think you should try again.

I think it's different thing because trading skills is not for competition and trading skill is not able to compete because each trader has different way to trade, some traders are doing a long term trade like 6 month before they sell their trade but if the trading competition have the time limit, thosenkind of traders are not able to compete even they have really good skills of trades
Competitions are always held among the people of different skill set. No two person in the world are born with same skills. We all perform at different rhythms. In my opinion, such competitions will help participants to learn from other and grow their knowledge. It is actually very thrilling and beneficial. Long term traders will compete there type and short term or day traders will play against their kind.

Never heard of such competitions being held by an exchange? How is the contest made? You mean user that trades the highest volume wins or something like that? Well, then no it is not a good way to earn "coins". This will actually make you lose even more than you can make. Imagine having to pay those exchange fee when trading and then those small loss you will me facing when exchanging coins. Even if you be on the top of the contest, your overall net profit along with the prize money might end up being negative.

Competition could be good only for expert traders but those who are new and don’t know what actually trading is the should remain away from this kind of competition and learn how to trade well. A new trader only should learn trading and trade for the long term instead of day trading. Better keep learning as a trader get success through his knowledge, so keep learning as much as you can.

It is obviously a marketing technique but it doesn't matter as long as you can learn something from it, what I find really interesting about trading competitions is that there are people willing to participate in them, if you are a trader whatever profits that you can get out of the market should be enough for you and yet I see many participants in those type of contests which means that they are not really profitable as traders and they need those competitions to try to make some money.
And that is something that I really do not like about those trading competitions, in theory it should be a display of skill among traders to see who is the best and who can generate the fastest profits in the market but that is not what we see, what we see is that those that are in that competition turn this into a gambling competition in which their only hope of winning is not their skill but that somehow things turn out in exactly the way they want them just by random luck.
