A bit overkill but works great and easy and it appears the latest S1's with this fan only use 415watts (killAWatt at wall). I used PSU to power the delta so you see stock fan below.

1. buy this:

2. reverse stock fan to blow out (push pull or just remove)

3. Install delta fan

Them delta fans are stupidly noisy. I would like them but wayy too much noise from them. Tried in past didn't work out well but did cool them nice tho.

if anything it is 26+ watts higher since the fan is a beast. At .1 kwatts/hr that is $2.60 a month. I will do further testing but this thing is loud as a jet engine so not for your room. This is rated at 190 cfm so something in the 120 range should be more than enough. No need to flip the cards and strap crappy fans on it. Who knows maybe in long run I will get fewer HW errors . Yes my snapshot is at like .5% but small sample.

Definitely something to consider for summer! 

OK, maybe I didn't get it right but why reverse the stock fan when you can reverse an additional fan on the other side? (push - pull)

You could install the heatsinks that they sell on ebay, people saying 3 degrees celcius cooler. They're like little stickers with thermal tape that you put on each chip and the DC-DC chips. If thats worth your time is up to you. I'd probably get two corsair sp120 high perforamnce and the AP120 from silverstone as it seems static pressure is what most important.

I replaced a stock fan with a high pressure fan, but saw an increase in temperatures. Putting these on as a pull did see a decrease in temperatures (obviously). But I worried about summer coming round and if noise isn't an issue then these delta fans seem like the cookie to me.

So AF over SP? There are some pretty decent AF fans, as 62 DB is no-go xD

I put a cougar fan on to push and reversed the stock fan to pull. Temps stayed about the same and the noise increased. I think adding a second fan to these is a waste of time and money.

i did the same with about the same results. I used a spare Noctua fan i had around.

have people here used these?  what are the effects on temp and fan rpm?  thanks

Some guy talking to reported 3 degrees centigrade lower temps and 400( or 200, I forget) lower RPM WHEN the antminer was overclocked to 393 MHz. Might do a silencer mod, replace with two low db fans, heatsinks and see what temps and db I get xD

I still have temps of 33/31 this fan blows incredible cfm so there must be something similar at more reasonable cost.

The easy way is to just flip the boards. That gives the highest temperature decreases.

Personally, I removed the stock fan and use two Cougars without PWM in push-pull and its both silent and cool (well cool enough atm). Right now since the ambient in my apt is less 68F(20C), I see 43-44C pretty consistently with a 375mhz clock. Anything above that and I see a fairly linear increase in temps. Depending on how summer goes this fan combo might not work, but man is it silent.
