Well, CN is for Cryptonight and there are many variants of it that have been incorporated in private cryptocurrencies.
Now, XEQ is based on Cryptonight Light V7 so GPUs such as Vega 56/64 will be the best bet to mine them.

There is a spreadsheet with the most GPUs hashes for different values created by Ryo. I`ve mined it for sometimes and can say that the most values are correct.
Here is it https://www.reddit.com/r/XmrStak/comments/cgfly9/ryo_cryptonightgpu_hashrates_configs_nvidia/

If it is cryptonight algo I think AMD cards vega is the best GPU to mine in cryptonight algo,

Better to check this website here https://monerobenchmarks.info
You can see all GPU listed there including hashrates of any GPUs and what overclock settings they put it will help you to find which gPU is the best.

This website shows hashrate for cryptonight but dont show cryptonight-GPU hashrates. Or maybe i just havent find it.
And there are different ways to decide which GPU is the best. Sometimes this is Vega.

I actually think it would be the Vega VII not the 56 or 64. They're a bit rarer to find but technically I think it's the best for that.
Im sure that it cant be Radeon VII. In such a way RX5700 can be the best choice, but as i said - everyone has his own point of view why some GPU is the best.

Why don't you just use some tools to find which altcoin is the best to mine with these cards?

You can use both https://whattomine.com/ and https://coincalculators.io/ to find which altcoin is giving you profit. GPU mining only works if you are mining without electricity cost or a very cheap power source.

If you have 1080 GPUs right now - use calculators to count profit. As i remember it was grin or zcoin for several last weeks.
If you want to buy another GPUs for mining ETH only - search AMD GPUs. If you`re ready to buy used GPUs - 470-580 series are the best choice now.
