PureVPN is offering 82% Black Friday discount (https://www.purevpn.com/order) on its 3-year plan. The price is pretty cheap IMO, just $1.92 per month. Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum accepted.

If I find some more discount then I'll post for you here.  :)

The problem with paying with Bitcoin right now is that Bitcoin's price is about 30% off... So we are not getting really good deals right now :/

It doesn't really matter I think. The black Friday sales do happen every year regardless of the price fluctuations. On the other side, what's the point of holding all those bitcoins if you can't spend them nicely on one day?

I used to follow this page https://bitcoinblackfriday.com/ to get the deals every year but it seems like the owner gave up this year. Watching this thread.

Don't miss out on this offer from Namecheap I'm sure you will get a cheap domain and hosting this coming next Friday.

I hope they will offer $4 Stellar plus hosting again for 1yr and unlimited websites. Very cheap hosting for the unlimited websites.

I was thinking of making the same thread but you did it already. Well, I'm just want to know other black Friday offers and maybe I can find cheap digital products that I can resell.

Then I got f**ked up. :'(  Just a few days ago I bought Stellar Plus for $29+ and I could have waited for Black Friday I guess, there was no hurry.

If they really offer $4 for Stellar Plus than its a damn good price to grab. I didn't remember at all about Black Friday, so I missed it. Omega should have created this thread a few days ago at least.  ::)

I am not not sure what you mean by BTC price is 30% down. The black friday deals are mostly in USD and you just convert the usd to bitcoins to pay the amount. The bitcoin price really does not matter until we have only bitcoins and no fiat conversions.

I was sort of disappointed to see this page https://bitcoinblackfriday.com/ today as it had good stuff previously but now he is just selling his domain. Is there any other site which can give us comprehended list of offers on black Friday, although it is obvious you will get discounts everywhere.

Are you sure you wanted to use the word "disappointing deals" ?

Newegg did not give good deals ?

Bitcoin's price is about 30% off.
Exactly. It's the Bitcoin Black Friday deal. Get it now while it's cheap!

You can find some good Black Friday VPN deals here: https://vpnblackfriday.com/. Most of the sites listed here accept bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies (but a few do not). Note: This is not an endorsement of any of these particular VPN services. I would always advocate reading looking at https://thatoneprivacysite.net/ prior to choosing a VPN.

Overstock.com have up to 70% off on their Black Friday deals: https://www.overstock.com/black-friday

There's always Bitrefill to buy gift cards to take advantage of Black Friday deals at other retailers, notably Amazon.

Tradingview offers up to 60% discount and it starts in 44 hours, so keep an eye out for that. I'm looking forward to buy their premium plan, which without discount costs $720 a year. In my opinion the best charting/tool site in the space, but it's admittedly kinda pricey, but that's exactly why I'm looking forward to their black friday sale.

One side note; if you purchase a plan with Bitcoin, you can only purschase one whole year and not individual months because they can't rebill you with Bitcoin on a monthly basis.

So, when you are selling your bitcoin, bitcoin's price doesn't matter? That's an interesting perspective lol
I really would like to know where do those ideas come from....

So if you are paying 0.007 or 0.010  for a service, it really "does not matter"?

That's absolutely crazy price. I see no reason to buy unless you are a professional trader or a professional writer in a website where you are about technical analysis.

As I am not neither, I can't even understand why it is worth..

Use BTC -> Buy it back. You not only getting the black friday discounts, but also helping Bitcoin adoption. If no one uses it, no one will accept it.

So if you are paying 0.007 or 0.010  for a service, it really "does not matter"?
It doesn't if you do the above.

Buy a $20 product for 0.0025BTC, buy 0.0025BTC for $20. If BTC drops and now $20 is 0.003, you buy the product for 0.003BTC and then buy 0.003BTC back for $20. Same thing.

Just a quick reminder and warning. The scammers increase during Black Friday, because they know people are blinded by large discounts. So

they will use the Black Friday specials as a distraction to sneak in a Phishing site. So you see 60% discount on a Trezor wallet and you see they

have limited stock available and you click quickly on the link in the email. Do not fall for this, because you are greedy. Check your links and do not

click on any url links in emails send to you.  ;)

Got fucked up few days back and received Ledger backup pack yesterday. That's why before buy something should share with community which is crypto related.  I was wondered to make post but thought will make post after ordered and like this got fucked up.

Whoever didn't ordered yet they might get this opportunity. Better luck for them.

I am looking for if any antivirus available with bitcoin payment with black Friday offer ;)

Newegg might be a good place to look. They accept bitcoin, have a variety of antivirus software, and at least one of these (Norton) is currently being advertised on the Black Friday page here: https://www.newegg.com/Black-Friday-Ad. I'm sure you will end up paying full price for all your renewals, though. Keys4Coins also stock some antivirus software. Last year their Black Friday deal was 5% off everything, but I'm not sure if they've announced anything this year yet.

As I am not neither, I can't even understand why it is worth..

It's extremely useful if you are speculating on price movements, either short or long term. In a nutshell, it makes life easy for you as trader/investor.

I started out with the free to use version, which for most people is enough to just stay on top of what is happening in the market, but I'm at a stage where I need more indicators and features that I can utilize. I agree that is expensive, but as pointed out before, that's why I am so grateful for the black friday sale.

From the sentiment on social media, more people are eagerly looking forward to the discounts provided by tradingview for their paid plans.

I'm looking for some hosting Black Friday offers. Maybe someone saw something besides Hostinger and Namecheap? If no, then probably I will stay on Hostinger or switch to Namecheap (haven't compared details of their offers yet).
Currently I don't have any VPN subscriptions, but I see some good offers for it, and VPN is good thing to have.
But as said above, currently crypto is down seriously, so probably I won't spend on it on this Black Friday as much as I would like :/.

I would take a look at LowEndBox. Apparently they will release a list with hosting providers that submit their black friday offers.

https://lowendbox.com/blog/black-friday-cyber-monday-offers/

I would also take a look at Namecheap when they start their black friday and cyber monday offers. It usually lasts just a few minutes since their offers are of the bests I have seen (up to 99% off in domains and hosting plans).

I would be careful with listing all these VPNs. Not only PIA (Private Internet Access) was sold to a company known for "adding malware/adware/spyware to their software" and "selling user data to third parties" according to this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5203968.msg53160131#msg53160131), but a lot of these VPNs are pretty shady or unknown. And since you can't know what they are logging, I would advise everyone to not choose a random VPN just because it's cheap and have a big discount.

awesome, i'm stoked!

i've been railing at tradingview's admin the last couple years for not allowing bitcoin payments for their black friday sales. i've never been able to get the discounted prices because i always pay with BTC. now i see they've finally added an option to pay via coinbase commerce!

Other VPN here that offers black Friday discounts here's the two of them that offer big discounts.

#1. Cyberghost VPN (http://cyberghostvpn.com/en_US/?media_source=google_adwords&campaign=Global-Search-Brand-Phrase&adgroup=CyberGhost-Phrase&keyword=cyber%20ghost&matchtype=p&extension=&brand=ppc&coupon=FlashSale&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI19WM38aK5gIVyrWWCh3wnAOhEAAYBCAAEgKCIfD_BwE)
#2. VyPrVPN (https://www.vyprvpn.com/buy-vpn-bfsd)

does anyone know good cloud VPS service with black Friday discount?
I can't find any VPS provider yet that offers black Friday discounts they mostly offer trial with $50 to $300 free balance like aws and google cloud.

Maybe you can wait for namecheap they will offer black friday discounts this coming friday and maybe they will include VPS discounts.

- Private Internet Access (https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/pages/buy-vpn/): 67% discount

That's a great list OP, but you might want to passthink twice on this dudes and dudettes.

I've read this an hour ago: "PSA - PIA (PrivateInternetAccess) has been bought by Kape Technologies which is known for sending malware through their software and for being scummy in general." - Reddit /r/DataHoarder thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/e05hn3/psa_pia_privateinternetaccess_has_been_bought_by/)

I'm not immediately going to make conclusions that this is automatically a bad idea and that Kape will be sending malware to their users through PIA, but this is just a heads up to you people so you can do your researches on this.

Title: Re: Black Friday 2019
Post by: o_e_l_e_o on November 27, 2019, 04:47:30 PM
I would definitely be avoiding PIA at all costs, and changing to a new VPN if you are on PIA. It's also worth mentioning that CyberGhost which has been mentioned in this thread is also owned by Kape. Take a look at their privacy policy here: https://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_US/privacypolicy. A couple of choice quotes included below.

We may disclose your Personal Data to any member of our group of companies (this means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and all its subsidiaries) insofar as reasonably necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy.
Lastly, we may share Non-personal Data associated with the use of our Website and the Services with 3rd part suppliers for the purposes of optimization of our Website and Services as well customer analytics and fraud prevention (e.g.VWO, Appsflyer, Google, Mixpanel, Instabug, BugSplat, OpenX, etc).

CyberGhost shares your data with anyone they damn well please, including Google. These are the same people who just bought out PIA. Kape, formerly known as CrossRider, are also known for infecting their own customers with adware and malware. They changed their name because if you search for "CrossRider", all you get are results from malwarebytes and other security websites about their still-being-distributed malware.

I don't know if VyPrVPN are better now, but they previously kept logs (https://www.goldenfrog.com/blog/swiss-or-texan-how-about-both) and even served a customer with a DMCA notice (https://forum.goldenfrog.com/t/no-longer-feeling-private-after-copyright-notice/2872) for torrenting on their VPN, so again I would be staying well away.

You should never be picking a VPN just because it has a deal on. Have a look at https://thatoneprivacysite.net/#detailed-vpn-comparison and https://www.privacytools.io/providers/vpn/. Do some research as to where your VPN company is based, their logging policy, their security standards, if their logging/security has been tested or independently audited, how much data you have to give them to sign up (preferably none), if you can pay in bitcoin (obviously), etc.

Any flags for PureVPN?

I already have a proton subscription but, who knows, for back-ups, especially the 12$/ one year deal , since it's not billed for 3 or 5 years in advance?
I'm not sure how many of those services will still be around in 2024  ;D

If this one sucks, something else?
I know Nord VPN looks good but throwing upfront 130$ for a backup...meh!

Ps.
OmegaStarScream, remove the /ru/ after nordvpn, I thought my VPN is going nuts when I opened the page and saw everything in Russian  ;D ;D

Any flags for PureVPN?
Actually, I found some big ones.

Pure VPN lies about keeping logs. (https://www.reddit.com/r/VPN/comments/74xd8i/pure_vpn_lies_about_keeping_logs/)
A VPN won't save you if the feds come knocking... (https://twitter.com/iblametom/status/916313261368336384)

Some may be cheaper but remember... in some cases, if you don't pay for the product (or pay too little :D) then you are the product.

Thanks for that, so scratch it, although, to be honest, I don't remember doing anything that would have the feds raid my bed...but.. 8)

I was tented to buy it because it was offering an annual bill plan, others were offering quite the same, what's 1$ or 2$ anyhow, but I was wondering about paying upfront 100$+, when I already have a trusted one ... nieeeee

Especially since the shopping cart with toys for my little pikachu  ;D almost has an extra digit. Christmas will be a nightmare for my wallet.

ProtonVPN seem one of the best on the market at the moment. I would just stick with them. I wouldn't be wasting money on a year long subscription to another one just to use as a "back up" if Proton was to go down for whatever reason. There are enough decent ones out there that offer monthly billing, at the cost of only 3 or 4 bucks per month. They might not be the best, but they would suffice for a couple of days while Proton comes back up or you find another long term provider.

ProtonVPN seem one of the best on the market at the moment.
What's stopping me from using ProtonVPN, is that although they say this (https://protonvpn.com/):
Quote
No-log policy

ProtonVPN is a no logs VPN service. We do not track or record your internet activity, and therefore, we are unable to disclose this information to third parties.
They also say this (https://protonvpn.com/terms-and-conditions):
Quote
The Service cannot be used for activities prohibited by Swiss law. To protect our services from being misused, abused or being used to harm someone, we enforce some rules which apply to every user equally, regardless of the type of subscription. You specifically agree not to use this Service for:

    Accessing/sharing/downloading/uploading illegal content, including, but not limited to, child pornography or content perceived to be child pornography;
    Harassing, abusing, insulting, harming, defaming, slandering, disparaging, intimidating, or discriminating based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;
    Sending or transmitting unsolicited advertisements or content ("Spam") over the Service, via e-mail or any other communication channel;
    Attempting to access, probe, or connect to computing devices without proper authorization (i.e., any form of “hacking”);
    Infringing upon or violating our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others;
    Promoting illegal activities, or providing means for/helping other people commit illegal activities by providing instructional information;

The account of any user found involved in any of the aforementioned activities will be suspended immediately without notice. Additionally, you may be held responsible for any and all damages incurred by the Company, including any amounts charged by any outside entity due to said violation(s), including without limitation attorney's fees and costs.
How are they going to enforce those rules if they don't keep logs? Those rules make me question their no-log policy.

Title: Re: Black Friday 2019

@LoyceV

The only log there is the login timestamp which only contains username & time when the user logged in. So that the only thing they could report. In the comments, there is a representative explaining they can't really do something and rarely do. Look like trying to enforce those rules isn't their priority.

Quote
We wouldn’t be able to identify the user since we do not log original IP addresses or internet traffic of any particular user.

Quote
however, in an event where we would eventually figure out abuse/illegal activity of any account in other ways (f.e. user would report it by him/herself), we remain a right to suspend that account without further notice.
Quote
So far we have not encountered any such case that we know of

Title: Re: Black Friday 2019
Post by: o_e_l_e_o on November 28, 2019, 10:13:37 PM
-snip-
Their reasoning is that while they don't keep logs, they are able to look at traffic in real time (any VPN provider is). If they were to be alerted by other means (law enforcement, anonymous reports, etc.) that illegal activity was taking place via one of their VPN servers, they would examine the traffic from that server in real time, and ban any account which was found to be breaking the law.

There are a couple of good explanations from them below:

Check Namecheap today they are starting to offer cheap hosting, domain and etc... Just to remind you guys that the deal is started.

Look https://www.namecheap.com/domain-web-hosting-ssl-deals/black-friday

The only the best option for now for me for 1 year is stellar plus even it is not the same as before (I got $4 stellar plus for 1yr before) it still cheap with free .website domain. Make sure to get the .website domain for 1 yr free so that you don't miss this free domain because if you choose a different domain you won't get the .website domain free it is included on their package so don't ignore you can add more domain later after you get the stellar plus for unlimited websites.

I just want to add this if you want to buy a cheaper domain name you can use Godaddy then use this coupon below to buy 0.99 domain

Code:
gofhmy09

it is good for your stellar plus account for multiple websites just use bitcoin debit/credit card (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DRbTeMCzb4UeXI0YlAzBxMc2u2i0cN_17Ql6eMngK6E/edit?ouid=102759487087229390875&usp=sheets_home&ths=true) to buy them.

Another free domain below I got one .best domain for free I hope it will also work to you.

Code:

Additional terms and conditions apply. Please see the ShapeShift Terms of Service (https://shapeshift.com/terms-of-service) for more details.
It does not ask this if you buy it through the normal link (https://keepkey.myshopify.com/collections/frontpage/products/keepkey-the-simple-bitcoin-hardware-wallet) for $49.

I didn't read everything, but for sure didn't like this (https://shapeshift.com/terms-of-service):
Quote
In addition to the personal data described in the Privacy Policy, you acknowledge that full participation in the Beta Program currently requires the use of a KeepKey or Trezor device and that ShapeShift will collect and process your device’s xpub data
That means they'll know who you are, where you are, and what you own!

I can't find anywhere if this is the normal version or that it can only be used in combination with ShapeShift.

Trezor and Ledger are the two most trusted no question atm..but KeepKey is not a bad option however.  I would not trust any others from my list in here (if you can add to it please let me know!) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124662.msg50317188#msg50317188

LoyceV brought up a good point however..the terms / details on this purchase are eerily connected to shapeshift..as if this was some sort of shapeshift model. I kind of doubt it after a quick read through..but a very fair point.

"KeepKey is the premier wallet in the new ShapeShift Platform, a web-based interface for managing your crypto, now with commission free trading.
Stress-Free Security: Generate and manage your private keys offline in cold storage, guarded against computer vulnerabilities and viruses, while utilizing wallet software for safe transactions.
Comprehensive Crypto Management: Use ShapeShift's intuitive web-based interface to buy, sell, send, receive, trade, track, and hodl your crypto. Trade for free with FOX tokens.
Straightforward Backup and Recovery: Each device generates a 12-word recovery sentence during initialization that can be used to retrieve your private keys. Have peace of mind that your funds are secure, even if you lose or break your KeepKey.
Sleek and Simple Display: The large display gives clarity to every digital asset sent and received on your device. Each transaction must be manually approved using the confirmation button, giving you control and visibility over your transactions.
Effortless Exchanges: Trade crypto commission free with the ShapeShift platform, directly from your wallet.

Great list, OP.

I don't really have a need for a VPN service, but it's tempting.

Aw hell, I don't want to spend any bitcoin anyway.  Not that this is a speculation thread, but it looks like the price is rebounding quite a bit and I don't want to miss out if it goes even higher.  It's even more tempting to take advantage of Newegg's discounts, because they have some awesome stuff--not just tech and computer goods, either.  They actually have a lot of home and office supplies and other things for sale.

I wouldn't touch that Keepkey deal, even if it is for $5.  I got one not too long ago and haven't used it for anything except a keepsake.  It's a nice looking hardware wallet, but the built-in ShapeShift thing just sucks.  But that's my own bias.  Other people might love it, and if you can get it that cheap it's a damn good deal.

Guys, wanna share your Bitcoin Black Friday purchases?
I can share mine - I bought shared hosting on Namecheap. But I had some big issues. Namecheap use BitPay for Bitcoin payments. I heard that BitPay is bad service, but I didn't expected that they are so shitty. As most of you know, they give invoice ID for payment. It means that you have to use BitPay compatible wallet for payment. So, I tried my Ledger Nano S and guess what - it's not compatible. You only can pay using Ledger only with Electrum or Mycelium. I really don't want to download another wallet just to proccess payment. So, looked for another option - Coinomi, neither mobile, neither desktop aren't supported. And my last option - Blockchain.com wallet. Finally I was able to pay, but I got multiple errors before that. Honestly, I already wanted to give up and pay with my debit card...
I just can't understand why BitPay doesn't gives payment address like they used to do before? Because giving only invoice ID is bad idea IMO. It's soooo inconvenient...

Yes, BitPay sucks. But you can bypass their shit payment protocol which is only supported in a few wallets by using a tool like DeBitpay which decodes the payment URL and gets the address and amount, allowing you to make the transaction directly from any wallet.

There are interesting offers like:

WPX Hosting (99% off) 1st month. The fastest available WP hosting at all.

Link Whisper -$30

and few speeding WP plug-ins. I bought a month of WPX Hosting and Link Whisper to test it for internal linking.

Although I have no reason to believe this site is untrusted: it can easily be abused by a phishing site that gives you the wrong Bitcoin address.
BitPay introduces a new angle of attack by using this, and as far as I know it's only because they want to decide what fee the customer uses.

BitPay's QR-codes are bad too: they use round dots instead of black squares, with a big Bitcoin logo in the middle, which makes them very hard to scan.

OK guys, I have been delaying getting a VPN subscription. Never really needed something premium but with the black friday deals still looking good, and possibly needing a VPN solution soon for streaming, I'm wondering: Should I dive in and get the 2-year deals? I see Nord and Proton as the best (don't know enough to really know more) but I'm leaning towards Proton for longevity.

Proton's 3 euros a month is more or less the same price as Nord's USD 3.45.

Any feedback before I spend my precious btc?

I can't say I know much about VPN's, never bothered with one to date. I just remember reading up on Nord getting hacked in October. While they will likely learn from it you might want to go with the Proton option especially if you are looking at a long term contract.

@LTU_btc

You just got lucky with Blockchain.com because just a couple of months ago they started to support Bitpay, which I knew just a few days ago.

Before that, I suffered a lot with Namecheap>Bitpay thingy because I use Blockchain.com as my hot wallet.

Step 1: Connect to USA vpn (Bitpay doesn't support my location)
Step 2: Transfer money from Blockchain.com to GreenAddress
Step 3: GreenAddress to Bitpay>Namecheap

So more fees I had to pay; and more time I had to wait for confirmation. Bitpay really sucks.

I'm not going to mention which VPNs I have previously or am currently using.

NordVPN gets some very mixed reviews. Do a quick reddit search to see what I mean. Many people who have used it for 5 years and say they've never had a single problem, but many others who have said they cancelled their subscription because the speeds were so awful and their connection was frequently dropped. ProtonVPN generally seems to have better reviews, and also is recommended by https://www.privacytools.io/providers/vpn/. Loyce did point out some concerns he had with Proton's Terms and Conditions earlier in this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5203656.msg53206456#msg53206456). You can see my response afterwards and decide for yourself if it concerns you.

There is not much to separate them (as far as I can see) otherwise. Both are based outside 5-eyes countries, both have a good no-logging policy, both accept bitcoin, both have AES-256, etc. They do both offer a 30 day money back period, so there's not a huge risk to trying one out and seeing if it works for you, other than you might have missed the deal on the other one by the time you want to switch.

Their first recommendation is Mullvad. Good to know: you can pay any amount with crypto, it doesn't have a be a full month. I sometimes buy a few hours access for a few cents in BCH. I regret to say that, unlike BTC, it's accepted without confirmation

With Mullvad? Interesting.

So I've just had a look at their payment page, and the smallest I can choose is 1 month. If I send less BTC than they are asking for, they will credit me with the time I've paid for, even if it's just a few hours like you say? I will potentially use this as a completely disposable VPN since their accounts require absolutely no personal details.

Correct. I used it with BTC in the past when BTC was worth a lot less. Now, with BTC, the fees get you for very small transactions (and make the dust completely useless to the receiver). That's why I keep a few bucks worth of BCH in Electron in the VM I use for the VPN.
I can't wait for them to start accepting LN :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. I did read the reviews and yeah, it does seem to me the Swiss Protonvpn looks to have the edge -- only if it's better reviewed. As of today, their offer is still available too. My only problem now is there is NO Bitcoin payment option, despite google telling me otherwise. Not willing to use my debit card right now, not to mention the irony of using it for a privacy solution haha.

Shame. NordVPN does have btc option, but it's not as cheap.

Now trawling through the rest to see which accepts btc.

They do accept Bitcoin. But AFAIK you need to add the amount as credits first. Go to your Dashboard and look for "Add credits" or similar at the bottom of the page. Click and there will be a "Pay with Bitcoin" option in the dropbox.

I don't see it on my dashboard. According to their own help page on Bitcoin (https://protonvpn.com/support/payment-options/) and the following instructions pahe, I had to sign up first for a free VPN account, and then the options would appear next to credit card/paypal. Maybe I'll enquire later anyway and figure out, it does seem a bit silly to have to add credits first instead of paying instantly (guess this is what they call poor user journey). But I'll bite the bullet and find another option for now. Thanks a lot though you!

P.S, if anyone chooses, make sure you pay in USD/CHF instead of EUR. It's the same units, so much cheaper (that is, 144 USD is less than 144 EUR).

So far good.
This time their Black Friday deal was $1.32 per month for 5 years plan but for shorter and cheaper vpn subscription check this (https://www.vpnranks.com/cheap-vpn-service/). Their it is available for $1.99 per month for 1 year plan even after Black Friday. I've hardly seen this price on 1 year plan.
