Hello everyone, in general, such a story I can’t verify for more than 2 months on the localbitcoin service, and they don’t want to send me my bitcoins. Who is verified on this site, someone also had such problems? I would be very grateful if you tell me about localbitcoins and how those support are ignored

I used to use localbitcoins for over 2 years. They are legit but i stopped using it when they started forcing people to do verification. Right now trading through it without verification is definitely impossible, you have to pass KYC first.

If it's a pain in the butt, try out another peer to peer marketplace that doesn't require KYC for now like https://bisq.network/

Yes, they introduced a check, but my funds in 0.766 remained there, I can not pick them up / sell

maybe you can make a thread in the scam section, this issue has often been discussed, You must be careful when making transactions should use a trusted escrow, You should find out the track record before making a transaction, P2P platforms like localbitcoin are not responsible for the terms of their users.

Pretty much this is brought up 7 years ago that the site is having an issue with certain things and this problem is irreversible because the transaction of Bitcoin is pretty like that, well I have seen many complaints in the past but this is the one that I have seen by using the search bar, and by seeing some reviews you will surely know that you really need to stay away from Localbitcoins because of so many cons and lesser pros it have and I have listed all cons for you to see, just be cautious next time.

Quite an odd problem really, though you are not the first one who stepped up and explain what happened (though tbh your situation/problem is quite vague. May I know if you traded your coins before or after KYC? Also, have you used their escrow protection service? Have you bought or are you trying to sell in that platform? In that way we’ll be able to narrow down the reason why they wouldn’t release your funds though I’ll cling to the possibility of stricter KYC rules.

Understand that if the staff at LB doesn't want to release your bitcoins after you messaged and discussed with their support, NOBODY neither here nor on your so beloved Telegram will be able to help you.

Send them another ticket. You wait for them to reply about your concern, Localbitcoin sometimes is slow in checking the tickets they got everyday. I do sell few of my coins in LBC when I can't finds someone whom I can get paypal funds. I was force to send my KYC documents because my funds are with them with they were checking but I find it legit anyway so no questions asks.

You can take a screenshot and then upload it to one of the image hosting websites like imgur.com and then share the url here. Newbie accounts can not post visible images in the forum.
Be sure not to share sensitive data.

Why does LBC owe you any bitcoins?

They are an escrow service, essentially, and they usually do not pay anyone directly unless you've worked for them and I don't think that you have. So it's weird that you claim they need to send you BTC as compensation for something.

They have indeed upped their KYC restrictions in recent months following regulatory tightenings, but apart from that, they are still a legitimate platform that I use on a weekly basis without issues. It's likely that there is something actually wrong with your verification IDs.

I am verified up to tier 2 level now and soon going to get verified for Tier 3 as well so they are not scamming you, the problem supposed to be on your side.

Create a support ticket and ask for a detailed explanation of why your selfie didn't get verified yet. It may take time but you will get verified if you have all the right documents submitted.

Isn't it possible that you may be your files don't match? I searched for possible KYC related stuff on the internet and found that they have started a new identity verification system. They are using ONFIDO [2] (https://onfido.com/) for verification, and maybe it just didn't work, knowing that you also have a large balance.

You said you were using that site for a long time, why didn't you withdraw all your coins when you learned that there were procedures for KYC?
I don't think they "started to check everything" when you earned a good amount but because they have imposed identity verification.

The support team is the only one who can solve your problem and as long as you can provide the necessary files it is a matter of time.
Check if there are any restrictions on your country.

They have even given one month as an extended-time period to get verified or withdraw their funds so using the word scam is inappropriate here. AFAIK no one will get verified on their first try itself due to their natural look changes over years and differs from the identity they're provided so they have to keep trying 2 or three times after some time interval to know what they have to face. If still problem persist then they have to move to the support team and wait for their response each of them will take 48 hours to 72 hours.
