Googling properly and getting necessary search results are kind of a skill too. Everyone should keep into account that what link they are clicking, is it some sort of phishing site or an advertisement and so on. If someone overlooks these things, it's really easy to get scammed. Always check the links you're visiting and try to use some internet security software to reduce risks of being affected by malware or phishing.

The problem because of the ads.

Ads from google make the phishing showing up at the first place of the google search engine, the best thing you can do avoid visiting an important site like exchange and wallet using Search Engine, Ads from social media/browser, Untrusted site/resource. I don't really know about the ads work .why ads like this can be accepted in social media platform or browser, i always see a scammer ads for electronic like Laptop, Phone and other think with the cheap price at social media like Instagram most of the account always mute the comment picture.

Besides the fact that one should resort to the original Ledger site, and move on from there, the two cases provided in the OP a weird:

The first case is redirecting me to some sort of restaurant’s webpage (which in turn may be a fake page, since some of the inner links seem to point to the real page). There is no Ledger information there, so I figure someone is muting the site’s content one way or another.

The second case stated a URL that I cannot reach (the full path in the image). There is a business site by that name in Singapore, that sells Ledgers & such, but I cannot really tell if it’s for real or not (or if the link in the Ad redirects somewhere else somehow).

In any case, the store does not figure in Ledger’s official reseller’s list (https://shop.ledger.com/pages/retailers), so I wouldn’t give it another look personally (perhaps someone local has more insights on the store).

There are lot of phishing and scam sites poping up related to hardware wallets (some of them i have linked below) and now its sad to see these fake sites in google ads. The google ads should filter these scam site and allow only legal advertisement.

BEWARE - Ledger Wallet Fake Website Phishing (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5185228.0)

I confirm that the first site link is not showing a crypto-related site, just some restaurant (same as for DdmrDdmr), but when I type the second link, it is a crypto-related site that sells hardware wallets, based in Singapore. They have many payment options, and next to Bitcoin there are few other coins and Paypal. It may be a legit store, and there is no way to scam anyone with PayPal for sure.

I try to search for Ledger in Chrome with Adblock off, but I do not see sites from OP. They are maybe down, but more likely it is geolocation-based advertising.

Fake website should be reported.

Solution for this adds showing up is to install adblocking extension, something like uBlock Origin.
Make sure to download it only from official github.
Scroll down for proper browsers links:

The problem because of the ads.
This. Google is a terrible search engine for a number of reasons. The fact that they plaster ads at the top of every page would be annoying but not awful, if it weren't for the case that the ads are not vetted in any way and scam sites regularly appear there.

There are 3 pieces of user error here that all have to take place for this scam to work, and every one of them should be easy to avoid. First of all, you should never be using search engines to find links to Ledger, Trezor, exchanges, wallets, etc. Bookmark the correct link.

Secondly, if you are visiting any site, check the URL and make sure you have Punycode enabled. (In Firefox, go to about:config in a new tab, accept the warning, search for network.IDN_show_punycode and toggle the value to true.)

Thirdly, absolutely everyone should be using a good ad-blocker, probably uBlock Origin (https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock).

This problem is so old already, we saw these thing for so many years already. And it's not only used in crypto world, scammers using it to promote fake stores for example.
I never click on sponsored Google search results, even if domain looks exactly same like on original website.
But this thing is a bit strange. Google banned cryptocurrency ads few years ago and ad of hardware wallet store probably should be considered as crypto related add. But it's still accepted and verified by Google. It  just doesn't makes sense when legit business can't advertise, while scams, phishing links and etc is accepted on Google.

That's kinda mind-boggling. Either their verification bots are messed up or they just simply know how to game the system.

As I've advertised with Google before, even some slighest violations would immediately get your ad(s) rejected. A pain to deal with.

I guess this also means stop using chrome. I better stop using chrome then and go back to firefox. I am going to follow your very good advice thank you. People should use presearch instead of google maybe?
But google still find more things with more ease then presearch does. It is not fair to compare sine google has been around for such a long time and presearch not. What about brave browser? Maybe I should give that a go. I think it has a built-in ad blocker so that should be a good choice for me.

I would advocate for everyone to stop using Chrome. It is spyware. Everything you do on Chrome is uploaded to Google's servers to help build a profile on you, and god forbid you log in to any account with your real name attached (email, social media, bills, etc.) since they can now link your entire browsing history with your real identity.

I've never heard of Presearch, but as soon as you go on their site you are prompted to create an account with an email address before you can perform a search. This is awful in terms of privacy. Good privacy respecting search engines are DuckDuckGo, SearX, or Qwant.

Brave browser is generally a poor choice for all things privacy related, despite their misleading advertising. Use Firefox with uBlock Origin as your ad blocker.
