Can someone provide me an empty wallet.dat file on any other online wallet provider electrum or such as I playing to the software I've got this day give also the password can someone put their trust on me as I'm begging for an empty wallet for exploration not to some social engineering set of skills I just simply hamble don't have the exact time to do this donwloading the core and get my wallet or any other source I could think of, of getting my first empty wallet, thanks in advance ping me a message on forum and I will give my email add to you and so I will give some 0.01btc or any currency of your choice if I freaking succeed on what I'm experimenting that's all thank you,

If you have enough time for your experimentation, then spend your time to at least download the core. You don't need to beg someone just to give you an empty wallet, you can simply download it and it will not take a lot of your time to set it up. I don't understand your reasoning for not having time but you have the time to make this thread.

The way you sound on me was laborious enough to add up the 200gb of downloading just to some pretty empty wallet what harm can I cause if I beg for empty wallets.. I'm just experimenting that's all

Electrum creates a new wallet in seconds.
Also Bitcoin Core creates the wallet.dat even without having the whole blockchain downloaded. You need to start it then stop it nicely.

Every Open Source Project out there has some test regarding bitcoin.
The same Tests, with the same files , same passwords..
Just for Testing purposes.

I would avoid using that wallet for anything other than test purposes, as the private keys have been exposed to everyone who can read this.

Are you using Windows 7?
Did you get that error every time you open Electrum?

If you are using windows 7 you need to update your OS with KB2999226 so that the Electrum wallet will work without any error just like mine I'm using windows 7 32bit.

It should be work after you update and then restart the PC after the update.


Electrum doesn't need to download the whole 200gb+ of blockchain it is a lite version of Bitcoin core wallet as NeuroticFish said.
So you can make your own wallet file under Electrum but it is not actually a wallet.dat it doesn't have a .dat file extension unlike to Bitcoin core wallet.
