Bitcoin Forum

On July 08, 2019, I was promoted to Full Member; 100 earned merits. Now I have earned more 152 merits within ~5 months and have promoted myself into Senior Member. This is really an amazing feeling.
For the last couple of months, I have been attracted more  into bitcoin and its related stuff. I have learnt a lot of new things which helped me to learn what bitcoin is use and how it can solve a lot of our current financial system.
I would like to thank LoyceV, Bitcryptex specially who helped me a lot learning about Lightning Network. It was really a great experience. I had started with zero knowledge and they both helped me a lot to figure it out what LN is.
Learning stuff about bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency was made easy for me by the forum. This forum have gives me a lot. I never expected to get a lot of helpful users in an online forum.

Earning merit is much easier in my opinion. I have done nothing but learning a lot and sharing my knowledge with the community. This have helped me to increase my knowledge with the rank.

Let's get back to the earning. I never thought people can earn for discussing things they need to know or they are interested before joining in this forum. Although I am wearing a signature and earning some money, this have never attracted me much. I have earned more from the forum through writing than wearing a signature. Signature campaign can be good for us for earn some bucks but this should not be anyone's goal- to earn the rank to earn btc. Signature earnings are a bonus for the active people here.

Thanks to everyone else who have helped me learning stuff, shared me merits and privileged me wearing a colorful signature. Another special mention to Heisenberg_Hunter who gave me the last 5 merits for the rank. He is a great asset for the forum, specially for our local Indian Board. Another honorary mention @The Pharmacist, he is a good guy, have shared me a lot of merit as well.
I don't want to create a big list. If I want to mention everyone, this will be a big one.

Overall, the forum is a heaven of the world for me. I can learn anything I'm interested in, I can share my knowledge, I have the privilege to earn as well from my interest. I have gotten some clients for writing article here.

Your threads in the last weeks have been great, not just because they earned you merits, but I read most of them and I was able to grab alot and educate myself more, most especially your thread on the LN and Bitcoin Android wallet, its good the way you make it all that simplistic, as I'm still trying to learn everyday, thank you.

Congratulations, you moved very fast from full to senior member, good improvement, we'll all take a lesson or two from this.

You are what I consider "a real user". Merit was introduced to stop the massive spam from account farmers, and I think anyone who isn't a spammer shouldn't be restricted by Merit. This forum (and Bitcoin) needs new real users to grow.

Congratulations mate, we dont know each other but I am also one of those users who joined the party very late - even later than you - started as a complete newbie but just began to love this forum, its quality discussions and the great community. Before that, I have never ever participated in a forum and I thought thats not for me, well, bitcointalk proved me wrong. Lets see if I can also become a Sr. Member soon, way to go but thats not what counts in the end. :)

I had joined the forum to learn about bitcoin. Bounty sounds good but I didn't have idea that these are some time wasting works. That's why I have moved from bounty and continued my study.

I was trying to figure out what's the dignity of number 43, it makes sense now. Thank you a lot.

I will keep learning & contributing to the forum as long as I'm here. It's one of my great achievement that I have found the forum and decided to join. It's the biggest resources for learning bitcoin stuff.

This is a real inspiring mate. I am also started here posting for bounty reports and focusing on earning crypto but recently I decided to learn and grasp what should learn here. Ive become also  senior member but not really due to many posts or shares yet contributed here in forum. The art contest is the reason why I rank up and I happy I did joined.

I've registered more than a year ago. Wasn’t really active. I was aiming to do some bounty related work here. But recently, during the art contest, I went over the forum and saw I lacked a lot of knowledge about bitcoins, blockchain and cryptocurrencies in general. Now I am determined to become a well established user here. I'm trying to learn my learn more on the way. And will share what I've learned with everybody else.
Stories like these truly help to boost our morale.

It's good to see the merit system is making an impact to improve the post quality. I have seen users becoming Hero from 0 airdropped merits. Still no legendary though if I am not wrong. Some of them already have required merit but lacking in activities?

I had to modify some filters to make it easy to answer this one on the Merit Dashboard. There are 9 people that are now Hero Members and 1 Sr. Member, that started as Newbies with 0 merits, and now have over 1K Merits (thus lacking Activity to become Legendry):

@RapTarX is maintaining Activity and Merits on par. If he keeps it up (which he likely will), he’ll make it to Legendry well enough (not without effort as is required under the Merit System).

I, myself is a self made Sr. Member and I owe it a lot on the art contest since in it I get easily reached the ladder to climb this rank. This was great journey and this is not easy to reach Senior Member.
I was received merit enough to reach Senior Member but most of my merit ie received from 10th Bitcointalk Art Contest.

Congratulations to your success and this is an inspirational post to see by those people who find merit hard to achieve and for sure many people will get inspired and think an strategy on how to make a valuable post or make something good to get those merit and rank up.

I guess being a constructive poster & being a moderator is totally two different things. I can create construtive post doesn't necessarily means I can moderate effectively as well. I am spending a lot of times here because my online business are having the off season now. There's no much work for me other than maintaining some daily works which take no more than 2/3 hours a day. That's why I have a lot of times now but once I get the season ended, I guess I will not be able to spend one hour here even.Moderation takes a lot of time to spend on forum.
In Indian local, I guess Heisenberg_Hunter is doing pretty good job for the community. If I were to select one, I would name none but him.

I do sometimes report when I read something attentively & find someone spamming on the forum. I guess it's all of our duty to keep the forum clean from spam. Regarding scam, I don't have much idea to be honest because I didn't face much here. Most of the times, I took upfront when I wrote article for my clients.

Do not shitpost, help out - be a decent member of the community and when you are 50 merits short of the next level drop me a PM and ill level you up bud.

I remember when we applied on same campaign like two weeks ago and you were a full member, I got attracted to your profile and today, I'm surprised to see you that you're now a snr member.
I've also been mostly active on the Indonesian thread before but now I'm getting more interested in English thread and I've been able to 60 merits within the period. I'm trying to improve more on my posting here and  I hope to rank up to the next rank soon and I hope to see you there too.

ive been busting shitshows for for over a year trying to get some merit but feels like if its not comm segment - go fucking try ahahhaha  ???

From what I noticed when I checked your post history is that you mostly write in the altcoin section. Merit source members  and other high ranking members rarely go there  so chances to get some merit there are really low.
I suggest that you start being active in other sections too, write good/helpful posts and you will get the merit.

you probably right - i kinda completely forgot about merit source factor. maybe should just stick to guides - all incoming merit is from there apparently in my score. isn't it pretty much the same crowd in beginners and altcoin boards tho?
