Well, after reading this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204528.0, and see the result : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5204528.msg53245149#msg53245149. 5 membres are awarded with interesting badges. I am just curious about what are the advantages of wearing the art badges.

I thought about these :
- Is it only as of the appreciation from theymos to them? or It has special advantages like [get the priority to be accepted on a bounty campaign, or get a guarantee for something else]
- Will the art badges be permanent? or just given for temporarily and will be disappeared someday?

- It's just an appreciation badge for their contribution so no, there's no special privilege. Post well, dont spam, dont plagiarize and you can get into any bounty campaign too provided if they accept 'member' level accounts that is.
- As far as i know, it'll be permanent. Seen some other badges here too though i'm not entirely sure what are they for. Still learning the ins and outs of the forum.

I disagree with this. This badges is very special, only 5 users get this.
I think other special from this badges is give the user Famous  ;D

I meant as in a confirmed spot into campaigns , etc. Of cause it's very special and a honor to receive it.

What other badges do you mean? Could you enclose the picture?
As far as I know, those are the first badges got from forum competition. CMIIW!!!!

Chill out bro, I have known about it. I see those badges, but I think they are a bit different from art contest badges.
Bitcoin expert, Bitcoin-Qt core developer, and the Glider deserve to be permanent (no doubt, surely). But I am not really sure about art contest badges if we consider the impact of their contributions on our forum. IMHO  ;)

Ah, i reckon all badges are permanent. Anyway , i'm sure someone with more knowledge about it will comment or maybe @theymos himself.  ;D

No, IMO. The probability to get accepted in campaigns, especially high-paid ones that are competitive depends on some factors:
- Average post quality.
- Overal net-effects: should be positive (post quality is only one of them). Contribution in the art contest is only one of them but it is a minor one. Because it is in short term while net-effect is for long-term.
- Trust flags history.
There is no guarentee that a Legendary user will be accepted when applying in campaigns, and the same thing will be for only five users who have the art badge.
If the Art badge is temporary, theymos would have not added in the forum, if you take into consideration when it happened, not within the period for April Fool.

There is no chance to see any kind of official financial priviledges with the art badge, of course except the payments for the art contest winners (one-time payments).

For managers, I strongly believe professional managers will not blindly look at art badge and automatically accept users who have that badge.

I think so,  but maybe if he want to getting famous,  not just because he get art badge,  he need contribution to this forum.

Of course they are permanent, even a high school kid could tell you that in a flash.

People are reacting to your loaded question because it sounds a bit malicious in intent, why would you even question whether the art badges are permanent or not, when the contributions made by the art contestants are, like all works of art, immortal and will be enjoyed and appraised at least as long as this galaxy is functioning, and probably far longer ;) ... trapcoder doesn't need to chill, but you definitely need a better appreciation of creativity and aesthetics "bro"...

These Art Badges could be beneficial to those who are selling crypto-related art stuffs in the forum like Yatsan. It could add more value to his paintings. Future collectors might also want to have their piece created by someone with an art badge.

I agree. Art badges seem like there is nothing to do with that. The track record of the user and his post quality will determine to be accepted or not.

Makes sense! But will be clearer if theymos explains a bit. Since no clues related to the time period of the badge use, we only can speculate [guess].

I'm a typical person who prefers to ask than guessing. So, let's think positively. Asking is everyone's right..

I don't think it will help to get extra priority on any campaign except art contest related. But they will get the extra honor from theymos as well from the community.

I also think it will be permanent even if they became the worthiest user of this forum.  ;D But hopefully it will not happen IMO.

This badges look pretty handsome. I think it's a medal of honor.

As you can see in the screenshot posted by Kalemder, it has a note "2019 art contest", high chances that there would be a 2020, 2021 and so on art contest.

I believe everyone can agree that the art contest was a success, right? and it needs a continuation in 2020  :D

Not so high, after theymos got overwhelmed by the number of artwork submissions. I'm not gonna lie, not all of them were made with effort and those actually add up to the headache for theymos in assessing all the entries.

Btw, here's what theymos said in one of his comments related to the contest.

So, continuation on 2020 might not be possible  :D
Probably, theymos will have another event for the upcoming years and art contest will not gonna be one of them for quite a few years now.

I agree with the idea of @Theymos. This contest took me more than 10 days.

It was still exciting. We have to continue this kind of competition. International competitions for everyone. This is an international forum. People need to get to know each other more. I think these activities provide this.
