Title: Another Bites The Dust?
Post by: mrquackquack on December 06, 2019, 06:32:30 PM
Does anyone have any news on Ether Delta? It seems that it hasn't been fully operational for a while and now it's coming up as a 502 Gateway Error. Any news let us know.

I do not know personally i have switched to forkdelta long ago when etherdelta started being very slow, even forkdelta does not have much liquidity nowadays but still it is a better decentralized exchange than etherdelta and it maybe a possibility that due to sluggishness of exchange and also no or very low trading volume etherdelta team have lost interest and they donot want to continue but yes they should let people transfer their tokens before closing down fully.

Etherdelta got hacked too many times so stopped using it long ago. forkdelta is a good replacement. IDEX is even better but they require KYC now so not a true DEX anymore.

That's terrible. ForkDelta never seems to load properly and Cryptobridge looks like the biggest wow.. ever. Shouldv'e seen that coming.. How are you going to start as a fully decentralized exchange to having to give out utility bill information to access your funds.

I visited etherdelta.com but did not encounter any issue. I also looked at the forum and google, but everything looks fine.

Although IDEX is also listed, but I suggest you check out it considering that it is old: https://coinfunda.com/best-decentralized-exchanges/

His reality is so, IDEX is now open DEX earlier because it is in hack people and their system at home. But I know there are still many markets more than IDEX that really is not DEX but want to try the atmosphere.

Etherdelta loads for me but after that, the interface has nothing to show. All details are blank, I guess this is another exchange that will shut down soon.

Seems like one more time they got hacked! ::)

Too mach hack attacks in the recent times, even the decentralized exchange as they claim has the same problem.

When we are going or going to realize funds needs to be stores on wallet?

Too much hacking news is coming lately. Etherdelta has already lost its popularity. It doesn't appear to have a reason to enter Etherdelta. Looking forward to a revival with the latest update to Ethereum. Ethereum-based exchanges will benefit from this.

At the moment, Ether Delta is considered to be inactive. The founder of Ether Delta was fined for operating an unregistered exchange and listing unregistered ICO securities out of the box. It's almost certain that we won't see seeing an Ether Delta comeback anytime soon.

That said, there are more better alternatives available today.

I haven't used them for a while so I don't have any details and updates regarding this exchange. Now, it's showing some text but the orders aren't showing and the circle loading keeps on loading.

Are there people that are still storing funds into this kind of exchange?

I dont mind using etherdelta since they are become inactive since last time when SEC fined or sanction them with violations.  But I think many shifted to forkdelta cause of the volume is much higher there and compared to UI of etherdelta, fd is much good. Ive always used it to buy cheap altcoins.

This is their latest tweet:

Quote
It has been a challenging journey, but we have finally finished updating the entire platform and have  launched most of the major improvements. We appologize for the period of instability while the code was updated, but we are sure the new improvements are worth it.

https://twitter.com/EtherDelta/status/1034458378305564672

And that was last August and then their twitter went into a silent mode. I was able to access their site just now, but seems there are no activity or something.

And if you're going to look at https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/etherdelta/, there are no data to show. So it means that the exchange are already dead.

Personally, i have given up on Ether Delta because my fund got tampered with once on it and my wallet got hacked through it. Hoping to see better Dex sooner.

Etherdelta is up and running for me.
Though I haven't used it for some months now, the dex has been a pionner to real decentralization and many dex came on the same source code as Etherdelta. Not to forget they are open source.

In my opinion Etherdelta is no longer feasible to be used in trading, not like it used to be in the first DEX Etherdelta was the most widely used by traders, but since they changed their appearance and very slowly many people left switching to Forkdelta and other DEX that were still active .
So it's better to use another DEX exchange than Etherdelta because there are now many of them lacking.

The only reasons why this dex mostly use before because they can easily list a token even a shit coins ,many people switch to forkdelta after the hacking incedent but its almost the same . That dex still working because there are many project that they cant list there token because they do not want to use any funds for listing in uch trusted exchange and the only option is fork and ether delta for low budget tokens.

I can access etherdelta and it seems normal or no problem. Maybe you have a problem in your internet network or in your device, try again. There are also options for other exchanges that are similar or the same as etherdelta, namely forkdelta.

ethetdelta has changed its name to forkdelta, I think since the forkdelta was released, no one has been trading on etherdelta myself. I haven't used forkdelta for a long time.
how could it be a scam, it's an exchange that uses a decentralized system and traders use it to buy tokens that haven't been released on the market and buy at very low prices.

I thought they said decentralized exchanges were safer than centralized ones. Now Ether delta is going down. Well, the good thing is your tokens are still in your wallet, I think

It has been long I checked or heard anything about that exchange owing to issues like being slow etc, also I doubt if there are projects still listing there as forkdelta seems to be the best choice. Etherdelta has served its purpose, but since it's finding it hard improving on its shortcomings I think it's best to move to another.

I don't have any new information regarding etherdelta right now. I want to check later. Besides that, I prefer to use forkdelta since etherdelta hacks frequently. On the other hand, etherdelta is more heavily opened by my browser so I never use it again. Sometimes the loading is not perfect. I was reminded of the heyday of etherdelta, almost on average erc20 has a good price there like ebtc, exrn, and many others.

isn't the latest version of etherdelta is forkdelta. since etherdelta got hacked. the team made the latest version and fixed all the bugs by launching forkdelta. and little by little all systems were moved to forkdelta. maybe they will close the dex etherdelta exchange and replace it with forkdelta.

as far as I know, everything is fine with Ether Delta and I had no problems with it. maybe the problem was with your internet connection? it is a good decentralized exchange

Since 2018 I left etherdelta, and switched to forkdelta. my main reason etherdelta hacks occur very often and sometimes there are errors on the platform. But I checked that for now the etherdelta site can open as it should, try checking your connection, proxy, and device. maybe an error on your device or internet provider does not support, it could also be at that time there was a repair / Maintenance.

I wonder, the reason you still use etherdelta?
whereas people have turned to forkdelta.

EtherDelta planned work was carried out, now everything works.  The update of the entire platform has been completed, most of the major improvements have been launched.  The code has been updated.

The case in your experience. It might be on your internet connection, your device that is not supported the site, the site is under maintinance. You must try it later or wait every hour and wait to operate.

For me if you can use other trading site, you must because etherdelta always experience hack before, poor security. But in transacting, etherdelta is good and there's a lot of coin you can trade easly

EtherDelta is not active anymore, But forkdelta was still good and operational, in the previous months like in september respectively the DEX is struggling to support its operational cost that's why the people behind forkdelta was asking for help and the users response and raised more that 1K DAI it means forkdelta has more users til these time. i personally use it for ERC20 token bargain hunting.

Woow, Etherdelta, one of the oldest decentralized exchange in this space. It really played a vital part towards to the growth of this space, but however owing to issues it keeps failing to meet up with expectations; it is these issues that lead to the creation of forkdelta and ever since then has taken over from Etherdelta to be one of the best decentralized exchanges where ERC tokens are traded. Now talking about the issues you are facing, although it's been long I accessed the website but I think the exchange is no longer what it used to be and as such suggest you try forkdelta instead.
