Title: Most powerful movie/video game you've ever experienced?
Post by: petahasher on December 07, 2019, 02:47:24 AM
I'm not really a fan of media as a form of escapism. I don't watch TV of any sort, no Netflix even. I don't watch movies too often, but lately I find myself absolutely loving all sorts of thought-provoking content. I'm interested mostly in good creations that can use the plot to provide interesting perspectives on certain subjects. What movie/video game comes to mind when you think of the best & most thought-provoking media you've come across? I have every single game console so be sure to recommend me your favorite games too, not just movies!

I am not sure if i got your question correctly, do you want a video game that features a movie or just a movie or video game?
One of the most powerful movies that I have watched is Chernobyl. It created me amazing feelings and I felt like I am living in the past and be part of this history. Totally recommended.

In the recent days, JOCKER can be considered as one of the best or strong storyline movie which can influence anyone to be a better and super bad in this society and there is a reason behind that to happen.

When it comes to games, not much because I play and will leave that's it.

I like Chernobyl too. Story with facts, people's thoughts and what they could do when their stubbornness more than logic.
About games now I prefer Call of Duty on a mobile phone) As for me the greatest game) espesially control of all your actions.

Chernobyl +1

Was introduced by a friend.
The fact that it was an actual event in history made me extremely emotional and had such tight, heavy feeling in my chest all along when watching it.

Highly recommended.

If we are basing off on the effect it had on me I would say Blue Valentine. It'll really fuck you up. It's just a depressing love tragedy.

The powerful film that has a strong and real lesson and always comes to my mind is "The Wolf Of Wall Street" and this film teaches people to stay away from greed and fraud because their end is black, As for the most powerful video game is "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" It is a great war game has high-quality graphics and sound effects.

Battle Realms for me.

Until now, I just can't understand why Kenji has to pick between Serpent and Dragon and why he's the only character of the game that can be with either of the two. It's for Kenji's journey and knowing when you play LAN, he's not even on the KEEP of both clans.

before "counter strike" hits the mainstream it is Battle Realms that who's dominating the computer shops ,i don't really play well but at least i have idea about this LAN game..playing this while editing' FRIENDSTER ' hahaha

but for me i think it is 'Super mario' fever that until now i am playing using my Nintendo that has been with me since Highschool days.

I like old movies. But not very old. My favorite movies are
The troops of st Tropez (all movies)
Indiana Jones (all 4 films)
The Mummy (1 and 2 movies)
And many others!

The sequel Fast Furious is the movie that inspires me for many things. Besides that movie, the film from marvel was inspired me too. They are not just heroes, but they help many people when people are in danger.

For the video game, I think Need For Speed is an attractive video game, and Warcraft is something different, and that makes me curious to finish the game.

so you love movies with sequels?not bad since continuation is much better to watch than those ended instantly .

well still waiting for the next part, though this last part is kinda boring and corny .

Telltale make perfect games for me. The Wolf Among Us is a must. It just grips you from the very beginning and doesn't let go till you find yourself starting a new game again after finishing

This one is easy. Super Metroid, aka Metroid 3. Though my favorite of the series is Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. Funny how I haven't been here for so many months, I log and this is the first topic that I see, considering that my name is Planet Zebes, which is the main location of Super Metroid.

Every game that Hideo Kozima has created are worth of playing.
The stories are powerful and you have to truly think smart in order to reach the end of the story. A recent and very fresh game that it is suggested is Death Standing.

I got my own chart, it includes all the games and movies. It's called life. Death of a loved one. Serious health problems. Becoming a parent. Trying to get up after being knocked out flat by betrayal.  A tiny bit of this experience beats the hell out of any movie

Perhaps the film “Hotel Grand Budapest” made the most impression on me. Such an ironic, funny and touching filter deserves the highest praise.
Subtle humor, intellectual jokes, the director’s self-irony captivates the full attention. One of the best films I've seen.

yeah they are both era though Battle realms came first, and yes i also have this thinking about your curiosity about the journey of kenji and why needed to choose.but maybe that is the simplicity of the game, having single Main character and the others are just secondaries .
