Title: Bitcoin dot org and the Money With Wings Emoji
Post by: oliv441 on December 07, 2019, 07:00:46 PM
Hi,

as we like bitcoin and want to promote it everywhere in the world, we find a cool way to reach the bitcoin.org website via the Money With Wings Emoji.

On mobile, click on the Money With Wings Emoji, add ‘.to’ in your address bar and press GO! It’s as simple as that !

As people love emoji, Bitcoin could benefit from it.

Share it, as much as possible !

PS : The Money With Wings Emoji could say "bye bye dollar" or a Money Transfer

After doing a scan of the URL using  Virustotal this is the result, apparently, everything is fine.

There is only one detail, the format of the URL is strange I don't think normal people dare to enter the website that way without being sure of its trustworthiness.

Does this method work on Android? It does not work with me or rather I do not know where to add "(.to) in my browser address."
Why did you choose to be aWings Emoji (💸) emoji? According to what I know, Google Keyboard added Bitcoin emoji, the Same as apple[1].
It is also best to forward address URL to this forum, which contains many BTC discussions.

I didn't find anything at this link; it's an unused domain.
I also have Google Keyboard on Android and BTC is not there. I guess it works only for Apple phones, no Android yet.

The Bitcoin symbol can not be used as a domain name.

When you are in google chrome, where there is the address "www", remove all, select the Money with wings Emoj add (.to) dot TO the extension as classic extension (.com, .net .org) and press go.

Tried it on chrome and it works thought it looks a little complicated to find.. It's much quicker to type in bitcoin.org. It would be could if it involved the Bitcoin symbol, As in "BTC".to. Unfortunately as you said the symbol cannot be used.

Not really, Nike is using the BasketBall Emoji dot TO domain

Why ?

Because we process visual information 60,000 times faster than text. Text simply cannot compete with image. Visual content is everywhere – image and video are everything. 93% of all human communication is visual.
