I'm in cryptocurrency space for 2 years already and I am thinking of possible ways I could contribute to bitcoin and crypto community, I realized that we have different line of track in where we try to improve ourselves, our skills, and knowledge for us to create or do something useful.

In terms of bitcoin adoption, people could wear shirts with bitcoin logo, tell their friends about bitcoin, and sell items through bitcoin or altcoin. I've just researching and learning how to code and I've tried to develop a system (Point of sale) for a small business located in our area but with a twist, it might be easy because what I've did is just to add a QR image of Bitcoin and Ethereum not much to focus on code to literally incorporate the blockchain system to it.

here's what I've did.

My goal is to help bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption through small business because I believe it will help people recognize and utilize bitcoin as their payment option in the future.

This system is working fine, but it needs third party applications that could scan bitcoin QR code. I know QR code could not be the secured and there are possible other options I could add. But my intention with this system is to help people recognize cryptocurrency especially bitcoin, and to use cryptocurrencies as an alternative payment option for seamless transactions.

There's allot for this system to improve, later I will try to learn how the entire blockchain system or the smartcontract works because as of this moment, there is no courses offered in our university yet, and knowledge of the blockchain technology is only accessible through internet.

If you have any references where people like me could access to learn programming and developing blockchain applications, it will help allot.

Thank you for that comment, I'll consider redesigning the system for users especially cashiers and customer to see it as user friendly. Now, I am focusing on improving the functionalities and fixing bugs. As well as getting other peoples opinion on how to increase market adoption through this kind of software.

but basically in my discipline, this is the way I know how I could contribute, if others have better ideas how to increase market adoption, let everyone know.

even if the local law doesn't prohibit the usage of crypto there are still a lot of citizens that don't know about crypto or still hesitant about it and having something like what OP has will
help them be aware of the existence of cryptocurrency or the doubt about cryptocurrency and in the end, it will still help to the adoption of crypto. adoption of local law isn't the only way
in order to broaden the adoption of cryptocurrency and awareness about it is one of them.

Why are you focusing only about the local law, there's also adoption for one's country's economic standards.

For example, in China, they regulate bitcoins in their economy and at the same time they are against it. They want their people to mine more bitcoin because we all know that they have the largest population so its easy for them. They adopt bitcoin in their own land and they make it as their source of economy.

But they also want to shutdown bitcoin, and they want to create their own with the use of their knowledge in adoption.

In terms of the design, it is detailed easy to notice every label but the colors are not suitable for it.

And you think the government will willingly adopt it? Your guess is as right as mine, No! It's when the indigenous people start to make news about it or start calling for it only then will the government take action against it. Also, his design is not too bad and i think he made it clear that he is not much into coding so i think we can give him the benefit of the doubt. What you need to do is connect your site with a cryptocurrency payment processor.

Like bitpay for bitcoin or bitcoin cash.

They will have a shopping cart plugin that you incorporate into your website. And then their plugin does all the work of scanning qr codes etc etc.

The idea is what people are needed when you want to increase the adoption rate in a certain country.
I like the idea and we're both in the same country, so I support your idea.
The design lacks improvement, but it is fine since there is always a lot of space for improvement.

This is a good individual initiative. Great job! I always believe that the best way for the adoption of crypto is when it is actually used on the ground, in real life, in the day to day life of ordinary people. It will happen when merchants and business owners like you will start to accept it as payment. This will send the best message to crypto owners and those who, until now, do not treat cryptocurrency as real money because they cannot actually spend it-- that cryptocurrency is real money. That businesses will accept them as payment for as basic stuff as your daily meal. This will also alert the authorities that indeed cryptocurrency is real money because it is being accepted in stores and restaurants. And from there, they will be compelled to come up with policies in line with it.

Anyway, local adoption would always go through a payment processor, such as Bitpay or even Coins.ph for the lazy merchants. Digital banking partners such as Gcash, Paymaya and the likes are getting a head start on this race though, while bitcoin is still regarded as alien by most people.

It will take time before things start to get really good for bitcoin adoption, moreso the merchants accepting such payments and customers willing to pay for cryptocurrencies. For now, one can only hope that bitcoin gets the boost it needs on the side of usability and not necessarily price.

Btw, the effort is good, but the design should be improved if you want to get people interested with your work.

I think this will work well with bitcoin lightening network... It's more appropriate for vending machine-like service. Unless customers have to pay before service then eat/drink while the transactions confirm.

This may not work smoothly in all countries due to regulations and laws. Maybe unless customers buy online, through ussd codes or something similar.

Good job. I appreciate  the work , all-over  merchants should  increase bitcoin  adoption. People  will definitely start using  bitcoin. Should  start using in our day to day life, If people start using it one day government also gonna accept , but should wait for that. Im from PH Too, I think people will start to have an interest in cryptocurrency with the ads that you will gonna put in your service, you may also advertise it in internet so that many people will find your store maybe they will purchase also the software you made, it is good business too.

Indeed, it's a great start to improve bitcoin adoption though it will never be easy because there are some governments who are against with bitcoin until now. It's difficult because bitcoin was already able to prove itself that it is beneficial and it is capable on giving us opportunities yet they are looking on a negative side of it. Good to see that someone is finding some way to make people get into bitcoin, I also hope that someday government will finally realize the the opportunity that they have lost.

It's quite difficult for these potential merchants who will adopt the virtual/digital currency, because they're lacking enough knowledge on bitcoin. To increase the adoption rate, it should start from scratch and learning process should initiate good outcome before wisdom be absorbed by many people. Without conviction and determinations they won't be attracted with cryptocurrency, due to less awareness and  worst, some FUD might influence these people whose newly involved in crypto.

Your idea is very good, but using bitcoin to buy things is something more difficult. I will give an example of my case. I'm not a miner, that means for me to have bitcoin I have to buy bitcoin, right? so I take $1000 from my bank account to buy bitcoin, guess what amount of bitcoin i get in my bitcoin wallet? I get  $800 in bitcoin. That means I lose $200 because of the fees.

so if a coke costs 5 $, what would be the best option for me to have coke? buy coke with my bitcoins or buy coke with fiat?

I will buy coca cola with Fiat and my bitcoins will use to hold.

Most people may want to buy things using their bitcoins, but they can only do so if they are miners, casino owners who accept bitcoins as a means of payment, exchange owners, mixer site owners or some investor who buy bitcoins and make a lot of profit

I got your point, meaning to say that we could look at the possibilities to utilize other cryptocurrencies or altcoins in the market that will suits best the every transactions of the people right? In this case we could look at XRP or Ethereum for a more suitable crypto with low transactions fee. But maybe if the amount of products is too high, that will be the time bitcoin is effective.

Where did you get $200 fees, which exchange apply such high fees to buy bitcoin, 20% fee?
Most of the exchanges doesn’t charge for deposits of fiat currency made by bank transfer. if there are fees then it would be less than 3%, except  if you use a credit or debit card to buy Bitcoin, the fees will be higher up to 3-5%.

There are many people who have bitcoin even not a miner still want to use bitcoin for the daily transaction instead of using fiat cash although it's not so attractive and faster. For bitcoiners, using bitcoin at least one time in your life to purchase something is a joy in the heart.

This is what it could look like when adoption becomes widespread in retail stores, and involving it into POS is a possibility. The design has lots of room for improvement though. By saying the system is 'working', do you mean that you have already partnered or made your own backend software that would confirm sent cryptocurrencies to a newly generated address and immediately convert it to local currency, or it's working for computations only on local currency and what you did is just slap on a QR code of an address? If the latter is what you did, then market price changes would affect the business profit and auditing, because profits and overall revenue prices won't match at all.

Certainly, promoting Bitcoin to many small businesses and showing them the advantage of adopting and accepting Bitcoin for their operation can be helping a lot. However, this is just one side of the story. The other side is encouraging more and more Bitcoin holders to be spending their digital assets on everyday transactions. I think that if there is a huge demand for anything, merchants will do anything to be on board. The biggest problem is that more and more Bitcoin owners are holding on to their wallets because we are speculating that Bitcoin will be going up soon. And since many Bitcoin holders do not have a regular source of Bitcoin, there is that tendency not to use Bitcoin to buy or sell but just leaving them on wallets of our choice. How do you convince a merchant to integrate Bitcoin if there is a less chance that he can see a rise of business transactions? Will it not just be a big waste of time on the side of the business? It would have been different if we are all receiving our salaries in Bitcoin because we are assured of regular supply of the coin then we will have the greater tendency to spend them.

What do you mean about we are still far away in mass adoption? As of now more companies and commercial establishment are now using blockchain technologies and we can now see some online and offline store who adopt bitcoin payment and still you think we are still far away in mass adoption. You can see how the OP apply Bitcoin and Ethereum on his project and on how he going to start the adoption in small businesses. We should always start in a small thing until it grows so we can determined what are things that we need to upgrade or to develop and by just doing this kind of stuff we can totally spread the word "BITCOIN" to the other people.

i am sure , there is no way to increase bitcoin adoption, no before lightning network applied.
we talk not about how many people recognizing bitcoin , but we talk about how efficient bitcoin it self.
and for now, i just see bitcoin just used for online payment, like online gambling , buy VPN/RDP , but for dialy life , its still hard to beat such as credit card etc.
but on another perspective , i think btc is no need for such things , i guess btc will be like gold , and another coin will be used for thing like u say.

Thats really an appreciable way to enhance the usage of bitcoin. What we do now slowly gets reflected as profit in the long run as the usage of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies continue to increase. In ten years of time what it has reached is very big, and in this manner surely it'll go to mainstream usage. All community members need to make something paving way for increase the usage.

That's right, if we want to increase the bitcoin adoption all over the world then it would start first on ourselves in order for other people to see what is bitcoin or cryptocurrency all about, right? By establishing and building some shops who are accepting bitcoin or ethereum as a payment was a very good help for us crypto enthusiast because on that small thing that we are doing, we already gaining and adopting the bitcoin to the masses. In which we are already promoting it to used by others. So I believe that in a very small doings, we can really help bitcoin on increasing its adaptation.

I think it's important for local businesses to play there part in getting local adoption. As of right now Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are very popular amongst the average populace around the world. Crypto won't see any major adoption until the governments decide to embrace it. Once the regulatory hurdles are overcome, the average joe may start getting interested, especially if influencers start promoting crypto adoption.

Need from local adoption first for increase bitcoin become global currency and accepted in many countries later, if from local country do not like with bitcoin and not interested for using bitcoin as global currency maybe not increase for many countries want to adopted bitcoin as legal currency payment, need from our family and our city how to know bitcoin to public and increase for accepting bitcoin at the future.

I think the use of Bitcoin is not well-established reputationally and is hard to perform for a regular person to become interested in it. From start till now, there were numerous attempts to quantify the adoption rate of Bitcoin, but they were extremely complicated due to Bitcoin’s privacy and lack of information about individual accounts. the mass adoption of Bitcoin could growe by increasing use of cryptocurrency in businesses. The rising amount of enterprises, individuals and manufacturers that accept Bitcoin as a means of payment positively affects it's adoption by ordinary customers and households.

I will ignore the user interface design, because it can be improved.
More importantly, if users pay with bitcoin and ethereum, who will pays for each transaction? We know that the cost for each bitcoin transaction is very high. I believe that customers do not want to pay it. Paying in cash will be cheaper. How will you solve this problem? I want to hear your solution.

However, even though the local government allows for the adoption of crypto, I'm not sure it will have a significant impact, I mean, people around that suddenly use crypto as a payment option will just increase. It's more like first we need to make people aware about crypto, let them know about this. People's interest to crypto is more important than just make the government allows crypto adoption.

Usually providing a payment gateway for bitcoin that is simple and secure is the way to increase the adoption. I've seen the increase of adoption after big company like coinbase providing a payment gateway and many people are interested in implementing it to their services because they could reach a wider customers as well. What you did is right and I think if that could be effectively implemented to your local it could potentially attract people attention.

Let me clarify you something. Your design is not bad, Its just classic and trust me I know how much effort it takes to design something like this. But the thing is not with your design or thought. The problem is with governments, they will not accept crypto as a normal currency as they havent put any regulations on it yet.

I think it’s important to think about why your local community would need to pay with Bitcoin, if there’s nothing that Bitcoin can solve no matter how good your design and UI is, they probably won’t be adopting, put ur UI in places that actually needs to use Bitcoin to pay, I’ve been struggling with this for years too.

Honestly, this kind of system could really be a huge help to increased bitcoin adoption because a lot of stores could imitate it and will start to become interested to buy bitcoin too, if this kind of transaction in exchange of goods will be successful. Also, if every stores in our country are now starting to accept cryptocurrency or bitcoin as payment it will be a pleasure and convenient for us crypto users because i don't need to go to banks just to cash out and convert my bitcoin into fiat just to provide my neccesities.

It is great, but it is not a new idea. In many countries, Bitcoin is very popular, I can buy goods online and pay with Bitcoin. But worse, I lost a cost of nearly $ 4 per transaction. You know, shipping costs + payment costs in bitcoin create a huge cost for each order. I think I should choose another currency that costs less. And if there's any way to resolve the cost, I would be happy definitely.

Currently we do not see many physical shops which are accepting bitcoins. Bitcoin is being adopted very widely in online shops and businesses but if we see how many physical shops are accepting bitcoins, the number come out to be very low. Bitcoin need to be regularized and made legal before and then we will see mass adaption of bitcoins around the world.

You have a great system made, There are already a few stores that use this kind of technology and uses bitcoin as a payment of method by surely this kind of program is helpful to the bitcoin and cryptocurrency community since the bitcoin technology still need to be implemented in a lot of countries, surely making this kind of system or a program could influence a lot of people to use bitcoin as a digital currency.

Bitcoin adoption is must required things to increase the value and growth on usage as well. There are very less amount of people only knows what are the benefits available in cryptocurrencies.

This is really a good job you have created, I think everyone should do something at own's space, in this way, this Bitcoin system will get adopted to the mass level, we need several types of idea and initiative to the real-life context, when you say about the mass adoption then you must consider about the mass people, whatever the local law's view, we just have to go through following our thinking, we have to focus more on the local business people when they will start getting payment through Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency then people will also start using Bitcoin in their daily life. So we have to think about the mass level.

of course the best way to increase bitcoin adoption is to use it significantly for everyday payment tools. and you did a good job op. by accepting and paying using bitcoin the adoption of bitcoin will increase. unfortunately in my country bitcoin is still illegal the government prohibits using bitcoin as a means of payment. the government only allows using bitcoin for trade and investment. I really hope that in the future the government will legalize bitcoin as an alternative means of payment.

Increasing the bitcoin adoption through spreading the word to the other people or spreading the news of cryptocurrency on how it is occurring or running in order for other people to have interest on the cryptocurrency. Another way is using cryptocurrency like coins and tokens to be used as a payment to the products that we are buying and etc. There are a lot of stores who are accepting bitcoins or other coins as a payment to the products that are selling into their stores, buy simply using it as an payment to buy products can help to increase the bitcoin adoption all over the world. Acceptance and Adoption are the main key functions that can increase the usage of Bitcoins among cryptomarket.

We all know about bitcoin but there are many altcoins that are really having great solutions for current business models, by implementing blockchain technology for accountability, security, and transparency.

im not sure if it will work if i have some store and accept payment use bitcoin, how people care about bitcoin, how cool or attract it until they come to bitcoin.

i think if they do this they will prefer to use stable crypto currency than BTC , unless they have partnered with exchange that it can be easily  converted directly to fiat after buying things in store world wide.

This is really awesome, and I love the idea of wearing shirts with Bitcoin name and logo very much because it will really create an appeal to public eye and normalize the terms and image. Also accepting orders for crypto would be cool.

This is amazing at least you are doing something what most of us aren't and at the same time you could consider making some discounts for the people who would be paying with cryptocurrencies this way I think the people will think about it and start using it too.
Only some slight +/- and locally you could educated your friends and people about it.

if a place accept btc there is a good chance that you can also find a near btc atm or a crypto exchnage outlet so that you can quickly convert btc to fiat or crypto to fiat for an easy shopping   .

stable coins are less accepted but btc are more popular and being accepted on most places   . it is also better to promote btc than on stable coins because  btc is not yet that popular enough to some place or to some people  . if btc success that is the time to market other coins that are falling behind  .

Good idea and thanks for the effort in thinking ways on how to contribute to Bitcoin adoption. It's just too sad that this effort could end up being a waste as it lacks support from the local government.

if it really can be done then we are people who knew crypto earlier and I think for sure we will have its own pleasure. in this case I think we can share knowledge with friends around who do not have knowledge about crypto and bitcoin or commonly called beginners

I think it only applies to people who have known bitcoin and not with the people who don't have any idea. It's like you are showing your new invention yet no one is excited to know what is it unless you show how it's done. And bitcoin should be done in computer or teach it in school if you want to have more attention to increase the bitcoin adoption.

There is no need to do anything new about it. I'm not saying that everything will happen by itself. Here's the situation. Mobile phones are becoming widespread and the internet is becoming widespread. Electronic payment systems are also becoming widespread. But there is something in stark contrast to these developments. We are paying more people the intermediary fee. That's why cryptocurruency will spread!

I think the advertisement for cryptocurrency and bitcoin is available everywhere. I see that advertisement when I browse on the internet. Besides that, I think many people who involved in the crypto world still spread the news in many places, including in social media, because social media now become very popular. We can see many advertisements for crypto or one website that offers about investing in crypto. That attracts many people to visit on that site. We need to keep spreading the crypto using many ways, and if we can spread the news in real life, I think that can help people to know about crypto and bitcoin.

The idea was good on making a system of a point of sale system that can be used by the people to buy and sell products and the twist is bacon choose our make a payment through cryptocurrency by scanning the qr code of bitcoin and ethereum, this idea is kind of interesting because you can really increase the bitcoin adoption to the people in which the people who will be able to buy some products on your store will be curious about what is this qr code about bitcoin and ethereum to be paid off. But the thing is you will be generate an account for your store and make a qr code on it so that the payments of the customers will be direct to the balance of the customers.

That is really the idea, that is to try to impose the bitcoin logo and the information about it, because basically if they could always see bitcoin, they will soon be curious about it and why it is used by the people. This curiosity is what will drive bitcoin to be adopted by many, even though I myself believe that bitcoin isn't the most appropriate crypto to be used in daily basis. Because for me, it's more focused in being a store of value, and investment and not something we could use to pay because of huge transaction fee.

We all know today the bitcoin becomes popular every time and it is good if we are trying to get a lot of people that help into the world of cryptocurrency because today most of the people now are using crypto because they know we can get a lot of profit for just simple investment. Most of us want to make some improvements to how it works. Making a lot of content into the world that is related into the bitcoin is efficient because many people now are requesting a payment method with the use of crypto or bitcoin. After all, it is faster and also does not deduct too much to their money because there is no transaction fee the payment is only one is to one. I also saw news about Bitcoin in the TV broadcast. In addition, now that I'm a college student I would sometimes encounter people who are familiar with Bitcoin and in cryptocurrency in general but most of them are quiet skeptical and treated as a very risky investment and somehow I agree that's why you need to do research first so that you will not be surprised as how the cryptomarket sways since it would go from very high to very low. You should know how to react with these sudden changes.

It is possible most especially nowadays, food advertisements are developing and it is way more better if they also promote using bitcoin in their products. Although people are not yet adopted to bitcoin, we just need to start a movement just like that. If you're a real bitcoin fan and you're motive is not to abused crypto, but to use a digital currency that is easy to use in transaction, then you should start helping the crypto community. Let's wish for a widely mass adoption so that some other people will also know the benefits of using crypto in their daily lives.

This was great and useful if will be finally implemented. In this way we can enable the user to pay through crypto or cash which will give them convenience. Also, this was a good idea to promote or advertise it to public because somehow we can apply bitcoin in our everyday life. Although its GUI needs to be improve, I guess you can make it with the help of a graphic artist.

Spreading bitcoin is really easy because some people think that bitcoin is a big scam but they don't know what the bitcoin impact to those people knows about bitcoin. Maybe some country adopt bitcoin but some are not adopt bitcoin because the Internet problem.
