Title: 5 Reasons Why Litecoin May Not Become Silver Alongside Bitcoin In The Future
Post by: EdmonLeung on December 09, 2019, 03:35:57 AM
Unlike Bitcoin before it, Litecoin is an open-source, peer-to-peer digital cash network with a distributed cryptographic protocol and a native cryptocurrency. If Bitcoin is the digital gold counterpart, then digital silver would be Litecoin.

Litecoin is a Bitcoin Core client clone, which is why its software is very similar to that of Bitcoin. It was also one of Bitcoin’s first early spin-offs which helped spark the trend of producing thousands of additional altcoins flooding the market today.

Why Litecoin Might Eventually Fail As The Digital Silver To Bitcoin’s Gold

Litecoin Rode on the Back of Bitcoin’s Rally

At the right time, Litecoin caught the price momentum and rode alongside the fame of Bitcoin for a long time, Saurel commented. Charlie Lee, LTC creator, used the primary Bitcoin code with a few LTC tweaks with a promise of a faster and cheaper network.

In my opinion to call litecoin as a silver and that sounds overrated for me. I just try to take litecoin in the same level as another major altcoin. Litecoin offers nothing new in the crypto. It's just an improvement version from bitcoin. Litecoin is actually just like an experimental blockchain. Especially when it comes to be used as a test net to test the hardfork that will be deployed into the bitcoin.
that's the only real usage of litecoin and another usability of litecoin to be used as a payment system but with so many scalable tokens these days and people have a lot of choices. to be a payment system is not yet suitable again for litecoin.
It may not become a silver below the bitcoin as a gold. I thought if that was only a hype.

This matter has long been discussed by fellow crypto communities, but it seems that era is over and silver for Litecoin is no longer worth it. Now there are many other altcoin that are better and more worthy of being called silver, like Ethereum.

Litecoin definitely has worth. Did you read the article? It pretty much describes at least some of those, main thing being a practise platform for new bitcoin innovations development.

Ethereum would perhaps be better considered "digital silver" considering its market position and the number of use cases it will end up having and it is unlikely Litecoin will surpass its market cap ever unless it adds a lot more features to its current form

Each coin has its own unique niche, it also forms a unique community that is interconnected with other niches, forming a cryptocurrency biosphere as a whole. One of Litecoin's most desirable advantages is its fast transaction, with the rest assuming that LTC is only under the shadow of BTC. Not much different, just a little improvisation.
Returning to the topic, it does not seem appropriate if LTC is referred to as silver in cryptocurrency, because nothing is too prominent about LTC when compared to other strong altcoins.

I also see the position of litecoin as digital silver has been replaced by ethereum which has the second-highest position, but regardless of whether it is worth mentioning as silver, I think forget about it because bitcoin is considered digital gold, the heyday will come soon, I don't care who becomes ladies and gentlemen at coinmarketcap, so I respect Litecoin as a very good old altcoin from other, low cost and inexpensive transactions

Whether it's litecoin, bitcoin, ethereum or anything else, I've never considered it as gold, silver, or copper. Even if it's just a parable, I still never consider it that way. Sometimes such presuppositions will eventually make our mindset think that Litecoin is really silver. So when litecoin is no longer considered silver, disappointment that arises and influences the price later because there will definitely be a dump.

Too much if you have to call Litecoin with Silver. We all know that starting metal does have a definite value and its physicality is also real, when compared with Litecoin it will be much different.
No one knows what the future price of Litecoin is, no one knows whether Litecoin can last for decades.
Yes indeed in the world of cryptocurrency, Litecoin is one good coin at a glance in the real world similar to Silver. But if juxtaposed with Silver in the real world in my opinion it's impossible.

still takes a long time to reach the position of becoming digital silver, even Litecoin will be quite difficult to defeat other potential altcoins before it can shift the position of Ethereum which is ranked second after Bitcoin. Litecoin still requires quite a long journey and must be able to be developed further because of the high level of competition in this industry

Litecoin or another coin. Bitcoin doesn't allow anyone. Bitcoin price movements are so much that other projects are falling apart. With which feature is Litecoin a better project than Bitcoin? I don't think there's a good difference. Therefore, they are not alternatives.
