Which coins do you think were the best performing this year. Charts wise as well as Development wise?

I’ve long been a fan of IOTA.  It has 2 unique characteristics that I like. It has no fees for transactions and the transaction speed get faster as more transactions are made.  These 2 things set it apart from most other cryptocurrencies.

The IOTA foundation is working on use cases for using it in sensors in cars and other smart devices. I see IOTA as a coin that will make a big move in value soon.

The top performing altcoins on my watch are new IEO projects from binance and few other top exchanges, projects like sero, matic, celer all bring huge profits to investors this year with high %%% returns

the best performing altcoin this year is tezos, because the price did not decline and it made a partnership with several exchanges and singapore government.
also, tezos price in bitcoin is relatively stable for a year.

In terms of regular trading (no ico/ieo this year), Chainlink outperformed every existing crypto this year.

In terms of ICO/IEO Cosmos. The highest ROI, 30-40x's, despite the sea of bloodbath IEO's and ICO's have faced this year.

In terms of development, that's open for everyone to shill out their favorite shitcoin.

I think the energy coin has a very good performance at the end of this year since ever touching ATH and back down at a cheap price. But can go back up again even though the division of Earndrop was done. Their development masternode is also good so no wonder if the price is very expensive and continue to ride this time.

I think this is IEO year, there are some IEO that provide quite high ROI for investors, but again this is only temporary because the prices go down far enough for example like ONE (Harmony) IEO on Binance.

I liked the coin stellar best.
The rate fell lower, which made it possible for investors to buy at a low price, after which the rate grew almost 2 times.

Yes Energi coins are good and have the potential to rise again, the Mastenode developed is very optimal and tends to improve, yesterday Energei distributed Earndrop to users with an estimated total of $ 200 more and many of them have received it after the Earndrop distribution is complete the price has jumped instead Bad dump, but I'm sure this is the best coin of the year.

By capital the Bitcoin market is still the best.
But for development, I think XRP, Tether and Binance Coin are very good this year.

It's a defi project and it seems one of the favorites of investors right now. Looking at the chart, it seems to be going up since the introduction. And possible that it could have a lot of growth in the next year or so with this technology.

Everyone will surely have their own coins and tokens to say and yes some are recognised so far like tezos, did very well this year, for me all coins with real use cases did well, bnb token lost half of its value from 30$ to 15$ but its still a very high demanding token, the fact is real use cases is what matters when investing in crypto

Binance IEO projects are the most performing altcoins of this year after bitcoin itself, i am more into new start up projects nowadays because i believe i can get lucky enough to catch the young and hold for long term or until another bullrun comes around

Binance project are good in terms of price because people are hunting the coins really hard, but in terms of quality of the products i think there still many altcoins that have better quality. THe price pump so hard because of the limitations of the coin sold and poeple are making it hype

The year 2019 will end and I think 2020 will be an interesting year after many coins whose prices have fallen in 2019. For 2019, in my opinion there are a number of profitable tokens but because the price of Bitcoin has fallen below $ 10k, the strengthening is less meaningful if faced with US Dollar

Check IEO projects from gate, kucoin and binance, they have the best performance this year and to me they are worth investing on, they will easily bring better profit once better greenish market returns

You are right. Cosmos shows the most extraordinary achievement among ICO / IEO. Since ICO has reached + 3800%. The following picture shows the best list that entered starting in 2019.

For development, it seems that BNB and XRP have quite good achievements, although not too extraordinary.

I forgot about chainlink, yes chainlink is the best coin in terms of roi this year because the price went up for 3x.
about development, top cryptocurrencies made a lot of progress this year. I do not know which one is better between those coins.

Some of the present Altcoin has a very attractive and so satisfying look. It is indicated by the presence of the Green Line that envelops the Altcoin.

But earndrop is still not fully distributed because some participants did not get their NRG. But i agree with you because i think for now NRG is one of the best and right altcoin to be used as an investment.

BNB can be the more appropriate altcoin we are looking for. Remember the beginning of the year, although the whole market was red, Binance's coin was the only coin to multiply its price by 4-5x. Even, the price increased above $30 due to the increase in the market afterward.

BNB are performing great, its chart is consider as top performing altcoin this year however I can't say that it is the most rank among thousands of altcoins. If I were asked what altcoin might be the performer this year is the Chainlink, the price of chainlink has seen a very huge growth  this year. No wonder if this coin will be a great contender in the market someday. I've seen some people's prediction with TRX next year, but for me TRX is still not going to be that strong, I've not seen some development this year.

I also agree to you from the BNB but I think it is not good for us to hold some altcoin because in my almost a lot of years spending time on crypto, I observe about some performing altcoin which doesn't succeed by a few years and it dump like other altcoin because there are some new altcoin with good project do increase.

This is my opinion: BNB. Binance managed to maximize its exchange coins with a combination of IEO strategies, it provided many advantages. BNB went up several times even though it went down again, but I think this achievement is quite extraordinary for the size of an exchange coin. Until now, BNB is the only exchange coin that is traded on other exchanges globally. Nice

all still look the same even though there are some projects that are able to survive better than others, but in the end it will all be the same because the bitcoin trend still strongly influences each coin and projects to grow bigger and unable to jump individually. indeed, before the current event with the fall of the market for the umpteenth time we can still assume if a certain altcoins can still perform well, but look at what happened actually at least almost all bloody coins today

For me there are three altcoins that are really good this year and the number one is Chainlink which had more 550% growth this year. Just imagine that you had invested in it, by now you will be having over 5x of your investment :D. The coin is one of the few that valued vs Bitcoin this year and is still growing.

The next one is Ocean Protocol that is building a decentralized data marketplace. Their token have increased more than 196% and it's a very good option, though I didn't invest in it. Came across someone that mentioned it and then did research on it and it happened it's really been having a good ride this year. The last one is Raven coin, I don't need to do any further explanation because a lot of people here knows about Raven and I'm very sure that there are people might have mentioned it here.

I will look at it in a different perspective and say EOS/ETH for this. I know they are not the best performing ones because they weren't increased that much (tho they did increased a lot from their bottom) but I am saying it because they got a surge in interest.

EOS because literally the blockchain got clogged, now that is bad for the blockchain because we want it to be better than bitcoin and good enough to never get clogged but it did, considering how much bitcoin gets attention and transactions it shows that EOS was not even near the bitcoin level but at least it is a positive that it saw attention during a period where altcoins were seem dead. Ethereum because it worked on a new hard fork where they could get better and better, if they can actually improve it as well that means they had a blast year as well.

If for this year I saw the look of the Altcoin yet in accordance with my expectations. I hope that more with Altcoin this year. But the results can be not comparable. So it allowed me to continue digging deeper again in order to get more profit. I keep hoping that progress makes Altcoin look more attractive and able to control more investors for the advancement of Altcoin itself. Fortunately there is Ethereum that makes me a little more relieved than it looks interesting.

projects like wink, elrond, harmony, fetch etc are the top performing altcoins this year, there are few others as well but most are from binance exchange, IEO did make a difference this year but not good enough

For me it was synthetix network token (snx) and crypterium (crpt) both of these projects have not only out smarted others in terms of value and growth but the development and products launched by them uptill now are really superb which has created a demand for their respective tokens resulting in surge in value and it is expected to grow more in coming months.

Binance is one of the leading coin in the crypto market as it has developed really well over the last few months.

in my opinion chainlink, you can see the chat in coingecko or cmc, chainlink was first released in 2017 at the price of 0.15 $ and rises when bulls occur then continue to decline just like other coins.
at the beginning of 2019 at the price of 0.44 $ and now in the range of 2.10 $ it might reach 3 $ at the beginning of the year.
