As much as I'm all for adding in extra functionality to the forum, and I particularly like your faster archiver script you've shared previously, does this character counter not just pander to bounty spammers and make their lives easier? I've never once worried about the character length of a reply - replies should only be as long as they need to be to communicate all the necessary information. The only people who need to pay attention to their character counts are those who are posting not to convey information but are posting to hit a target.

Having said all that, I'm sure >99.9% of bounty spammers wouldn't even be able to figure out how to run a custom script, so you can probably just ignore me being a grump.

Probably being a grump is only a cheering person well informed about the facts.
That was a sensible point, so Babo was quick enough to remove it.
