Title: Self made Legendary
Post by: The Cryptovator on December 10, 2019, 06:11:02 PM
Hello community !
I don't know how I will express my gratitude to the Bitcointalk community. Today feeling glad that I have earned 1000 merits. These merits is sufficient for Legendary potential. And this is very big achievement for me since once a day it was like a dream for me at beginning of join this forum. I have joined March 28, 2018 which is less than 2 years.

I have been trying my best to contribute myself for forum, but forum given me more than my expectation. Once upon a time I was not thought that I will be selected for DT1 & Merit source. But I have achieved it by community support.

I want to say, who are the newbie today they are the future of forum. Today's newbie will Legendary some day. That's why I have been encouraging newbies to contribute themselves always. Not necessary that you must have special skills for it, but you have to contribute your best knowledge and experiences for community. And I have confidence that community will give you unexpected returns.

Guys don't be hopeless, do your best and try again & again.

I didn't even know you were on DT, but don't take that personally since I don't keep track anymore.

Congrats on hitting Legendary, bro.  You've made a lot of good posts and have been a positive contributor to the forum IMO, so you deserved all the merits that brought you to where you are today.  Keep up the good work.

@Coolcryptovator, Congratulations on your achievement.

Being a "New Era Newbie" myself I know how insurmountable the achievement seemed back in mid 2018.  The fact that you've earned enough merit to reach Legendary rank before earning the required activity is also a significant accomplishment.

Having started my journey around the same time as you, I payed attention to the growth of your account, and I can definitely say you've earned and deserve your achievements.  You have made some great posts and contributions to the forum and the crypto community.

Again, congratulations and welcome to "almost-legendary-rank" club.

You know, but likely you forgot. Nothing personal but just for reminder, you were realized that I am on DT before me.

As an aside, Coolcryptovator is showing up on my "trusted feedback" list, which I find odd.  I understand how that happened--someone must've made him DT2--but seeing that was unexpected.  He hasn't been around all that long.

Congrats on hitting Legendary, bro.  You've made a lot of good posts and have been a positive contributor to the forum IMO, so you deserved all the merits that brought you to where you are today.  Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your kind word.

@Coolcryptovator, Congratulations on your achievement.
Congrats for your self made Legendary mate!
Thanks  both of you guys.

Congratulation on achieving 1000 merits which is pretty hard compared to getting activity points in my opinion. Honestly i don't know if i can even ever make it there (1000 earned merits)... Maybe in 2-3 years according to the pace am receiving them right now  :D
Your journey is inspiring.

Congratulations on reaching 1,000 merits. You deserve this because you are one of the admired Bounty Managers.
Many projects that you manage and run successfully. In 2018 starting as a Rank Newbie is indeed not easy to achieve Legendary Rank.
You only need less than 2 year to deserve the rank of legendary.
It is only a matter of Activity that follows the Forum's rules and still holds you in the Hero Member Rank.
Congratulations again to Coolcryptovator, you're one of the best. 🎉🎉

You have not yet become a Legendary, Coolcryptovator.

Fortunately and impressively, you have earned enough merits for the rank (1000+) and you have passed through the most difficult challenge to hit that rank. I congratulate you for the potential Legendary rank. You made good contributions to the forum, over a very long period since the day you were here. You deserved it, bro.

I congratulate @Coolcryptovator, for the current ranking, full of struggle and challenges in achieving it.

Not much to say, other than future success for @Coolcryptovator.

I remember one word from someone saying.

Quote
You must never seem to affect the character in which you have a mind to shine. Modesty is the only sure bait when you angle for praise.

2 years to a Legendary? Damn, that's very impressive and keep it up!

Not an easy achievement and more so within the short time frame of two years.
Will want this same energy directed towards my own personal efforts as well and hopefully I can some day motivate others about My hard work

I just hope I am still at the position of DT if I ever reach that amount to be qualified for Legendary... If not, atleast I already get to have my arse on the front Door 🐵

Congrats to you buddy, wish us the best for those who're still in the soil. We may join you also sooner or worse later 😂. Good Day to all of you.
Hoping for Bonuses this Christmas😂 oh ILoveYou all!

You are a good poster and a wonderful campaign manager, you also effectively detect scam projects.I'm glad you have made it to legendary rank, because you deserve it, now it's all about the activity and that's just a matter of time, the rank(legendary)is already assured.

There is no rank up from here on for you, except of course if theymos decides to add another rank in the future ;D, but i know this wouldn't deter your good works on the forum; congratulations.

I have lost my chance to get a legendary rank when the activity is below 800
still hoping when the activity is below 1000, maybe @910 :D

@Coolcryptovator, congratulation and happy waiting :v

It's really hard and you can only do it if you've made yourself really valuable for this community. Respect and thanks for your efforts for these boards, mate!

I can feel your struggle form here.
I know the probability is evenly distributed between 775 and and 1030... but we all hope for 775!

There’s an interesting thread on how others have dealt with the wait in the past: Legendary one day? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1226681.0).

The OP is oldish (although the thread does have posts until October 2018), but it contains a list of what seems to be the Activity that eventually made the rank turn to Legendary for some forum members (second list in the OP). Perhaps the list is biased, since they are mostly above the average activity of 902,5 (i.e. additions may be mostly by people who had a longish wait).

Congratulations on achieving this milestone, you have gone a long way on the forum and do deserve all the accolades you have been getting lately from been a quality poster resulting to you recieving the necessary merits to rank up, also been included on the DT privilege and Merit source entitlement down to been accepted in one of the best campaigns on the forum. Not forgetting also your recent achievement of been a bitcoin paying signature manager. Congratulations on achieving all this in a very short period of time.

Didn't bother reading your OP so forgive me if I just recap but you have been a very productive member of the community and truely deserve all you the compliment. Congrats.

I have been trying my best to contribute myself for forum, but forum given me more than my expectation.
I might've been somehow inactive for the past year [up until last month] but I still remember our short interactions [back in the day] and seeing your recent achievements, makes me proud [you deserve every bit of it].
  • Keep it up ;)

You just achieved 1000 merit that is required to become a Legendary, it just sucks having low activity to rank up huh.
Congratulations and hopefully you get to be lucky and be legendary @775 activity.

Congratulations! I hope you will get legendary rank @784  :)

Actually I was in a similar situation and was very lucky hitting Legendary on the first opportunity :D

So it happens, hopefully you hit it as well ASAP :)

Then again there are a lot of individual person creating a thread for earning a lot of merits, and earning a lot even before being promoted of status, maybe its an idea to create a thread where everyone could easily give there individual talk about this accomplishment .... and a talk about how they gain there merit etc

Just a thought :D

@Coolcryptovator congratulations for earning over 1000 merits. You deserved it for sure.

I know that activity should be from 775-1030, but does anyone knows formula for calculating when member can rank up to Legendary?

I had a query here Copper member is for paid accounts right? Even for paid accounts need to get merits? I do not know much just trying to understand.

You can find all info about "Copper Member" here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104).

You need merits even as Copper Member. Copper Membership allows newbies to post images. There are less restrictions about signatures (styling) too and time between the ability of posting 2 reply is decrease by 75%.

After buying the Copper membership, you have an option to wear that title or not. It is a title, not a rank, so you will still need to earn merits to rank up.
Once you have it, you get the choice:

https://i.imgur.com/uE22CHZ.png
Fortunately, being a Copper Member will give your some bonuses (nearly as same as Member rank), but they might be ended at anytime theymos changes rules. The copper memebership might not last forever. See at: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote.
By popular demand, newbies can now pay to have some of their restrictions lifted. If you pay the fee, you become a Copper Member, and you can post images. That's the main point of this: allowing newbies to post images. Additionally (and these might change depending on how things go), Copper Members currently have these bonuses:

- Some of the same permissions as Member-rank members, such as reduced signature styling restrictions. (But none of the PM-related restrictions are currently lifted, such as the style limit or per-hour PM limit.)
- Your "you must wait ____ seconds between ___" counter is reduced by 75%. So if you're naturally of Newbie rank, you only have to wait 360-75% = 90 seconds.
Having rights to post images is good but you should use the rights relevantly does not equal that you should include images in each of your post. Images, if being used irrelevantly, will become annoying.
