I can't vividly picture out best Altcoin because many out there are good and some have inner products to bring out too so many good altcoins on the soac, many altcoins to look out for .

What a joke. (Must be an ICO, must be launched within the past 6 months).

An ICO means the project itself is centralized, the fact that the majority of people here prefers centralized projects is beyond me, but it just goes to show that people care about quick money, rather than the tech itself.

Back when Darkcoin launched (Now DASH), people was upset with their premine, and the whole project was called a SCAM, if you held an ICO back then, the majority of people would call all of these projects SCAMS as well, and as we've seen, a LOT of them indeed is.

I'd much rather invest in something that builds useable tech, has a good history and good development.

Blocknet launched the first truly Decentralized Exchange on the market, and believe it or not, they are still the ONLY true DEX on the market to this day. Most people are easily fooled by all these wannabe DEX's like Bisq, Waves, IDEX, Binance, because they don't know how they actually WORK.

On top of that Blocknet solves the Oracle problem, exactly the same way as Chainlink does, just by using decentralized service nodes, making it impossible to take down either their service, or the DEX itself, even if "forced" to by governments.

That's a project people should pay attention to, yet they don't. All people care about is fast money, and it's gonna bite people HARD eventually (The MATIC dump today is a great example of exactly like, a centralized project dumping more than 50% in an hour).

Hydax looks better to me, they did not have any kind of sale, maybe there was private sale or self funded. The exchange looks cool and their new invention IGO also looks okay. Therefore I want to mention the IMO project name, though there will have a sale, but this project gonna rock in 2020, as they have something new and catchy to offer the crypto world!

Matic is just one of the project that you are describing - launched almost just 6 months ago and also IEO. Token was dumped today down to -55% but the price in USD still is more than the ICO price. The token's price grew and it helped its marketing.  They were claiming to be scalable but I have no idea yet what is in their system.

There are lots of coins that did not do ICO specially the projects that were created on EOS and TRON, some of them are casino sites which are promising as well. Take for instance Hpoint.

I will say native Coin :D I like the idea behind the project and the team has been really active in making it a success. It's already on many big and small exchanges and recently they announced a partnership with coinme.

ICO? What's the point of this. Of all the projects, an extremely small percentage was conducted by ICO and was successful.
I can select only Ferrum Network amng all projects. All successful projects carry out IEO, because it is convenient, profitable, and safe. I advise you to edit the rules.

I like your analisis on Matic. Like many coins a dump does not mean the end of profitability. With Matic any of the mentioned dump being team trackable coins or premine?

"Project has a NEW and REAL use case"

Right there is a pretty tough rule, as only a handful of coins have a real use case to begin with. I don't define exchange coins, or coins that could be used as cash (but isn't).... or copycat etheriums, as real world use cases.

So beats me what project qualifies and actually looks like it has a chance to succeed.

I am with you on that. As i was typing the rules. Thought to myself roughly the same thing. I personally think there are hidden gems out there. I go as far back to page 50 on Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements to really dig . Imagine a brilliant developer. They are not the most social people. So their projects wont look glittery with all the bells a whistles most the Crap projects have. If there is one thing most can agree. The crap coins have the best marketing and are loud so everyone sees. That next big thing most likely is the project that we failed to see cause it was dull and appeared boring. Beneath the dust and mountains of pages .This SEARCH or hunt we are on reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade . Remember the scene: Indiana Jones meets the ancient Knight Templar who guards the "Holy Grail". The knight says "you must choose, but choose wisely, Indiana Jones selects a wooden cup "The cup carpenter"

Don't you see and be attracted to energi coins? They have very good projects and potentials. When there was an Eardrop event yesterday instead of the price dropped instead it was getting up because the community was confident their project was good and chose to hold it longer.

Matic is famous among the list but it is launched already long time ago. Im not sure about other but Im familiar with Hydax since they are establishing an exchange platform. I think this is the best project for me, you know how good and easy yo understand the market platform right? With special boost and some good marketing they can caught up with some good exchange already. Take a look on bitmax and vindax now the volume has increased already on these new exchanges.

good project right now is maticnetwork but we have just got the bad news that tokens in dumps and fuds are distributed as if the team did it but in terms of prospects matic is a very good project running for 6 months and occupying the top 100 marketcap rankings

I am more into privacy altcoins and the ones that actually introduce better use cases this year are SERO and VEIL Project, I am not surprised to see vindax on the list though, I got my eye on the project since launch

Most of what happened to Altcoins at the end of the year made many responses quite surprising. Because most of the altcoins are experiencing a joyous increase. With many of the fundamental advantages of making ALtcoin a lot of progress, this brings some coins to the achievement they want, Christmas that marks the beginning of the unfortunate Altcoin. But there is also nothing wrong with the coin. The best coin for 2020 to me is Litecoin.

I just added another one to my investment, I glanced and bought some Tomochain (https://tomochain.com/) because they looked unique and attractive where users on the ethereum network could also access their blockchain network Tomochain, so the Ethereum wallet key wallet could be used also in Tomochain wallet

one more thing that tokens based in tomochain are not like ethereum using ethereum fees, but erc20 and erc21 tokens in tomochain use the cost of their own tokens so they don't have to require tomochain to make transactions, this is cool in my opinion, but not recommended for anyone because I do not want to bear the loss of anyone, I like something unique to invest

I think not good coin for investing with IEO listed with vidax, next years I keep investing with new coin win vote on Binance like today still running voting between coti and vite which one the winner become my assets investing at the next year, I think by winning vote on Binance some altcoin have higher price and we have ready for investing before listing with Binance exchange market.

The Altcoin project is now dominating compared to other projects. Why struggle to follow a project that is uncertain, while promising is in front of the eye. So I strongly propose to use and join the more trusted Altcoin project. Remember our profits at stake in the choices we will take. So it would be very good by risking our wealth to be definite and reliable of various aspects.

My suggestion on Blocknet still stands though, it might not be brand new project as requested here, but it sure as hell got potential in the future, considering its the only project right now running a truly decentralized exchange, along with their oracle service: Xrouter

Its very hard to predict the 2020 list already now. That too you are including new projects like Hydax. I know Hydax is a good exchange and potential project. But not sure about being the top in the list.

Okay, that disqualifies every single new altcoin that will probably ever make it to the market *and* 99.999% of altcoins on the market right now.  Please point me to an altcoin that's used for anything besides trading.

I like privacy coins myself, but the cold hard fact is that nobody uses them for anything.  Not even on the dark web.  Besides, there are already coins that can give you all the privacy you need, like monero, pivx, and even dash.  But the privacy feature just isn't something most altcoiners care about.

I am not a fan of any project launched in last six months, what i have learned is that we must stay in btc and eth like 70 to 80 percent and just diversify with rest of the 20 to 30 percent, i am saying this because mist alts have proven to be highly risky and volatile in last 2 years with endless bears resulting in 10x to 50x loss to hodlers but im hopeful that in next market bull cycle the longterm hodlers will get a chance to sell with profit once again but that requires a lot of patience.

I pay attention to the BCNEX project. I have been in this project for almost 2 months. BCNEX continues to grow well even when btc goes down the bcnx token rises. here I judge this project is good enough to be calculated. Bcnex has won several awards in the best exchanger category.

okay, thank you for adding that to the list, but I don't really recommend this project as a safe investment, return to yourself and everyone who sees this, any investment always has risks and I don't expect what I choose is best investment, before people invest about this you should read more about the Tomochain project, cheers  ;)

damn I don't have one that is not already listed on OP list but the one I am looking forward to now is chelle coin, real estate token, they raised over 20million dollars in 2018 and now they have built AQRE platform for real state investors, its a really good project

Hydax / SERO projects are well-known to me and I really see a good perspective in them. I already wrote about the fact that SERO is a very strong project about which very few people know now and now it needs to be bought. Hydax is a project that I think is now very risky for investment, but I took part in the bounty campaign and will get some free coins.

What about the binance IEO projects ? does they will have a good price next year ? or people will leave it and move to another new IEO?
I'm speculating great exchanges will not guarantee a project is having a great products and sometimes the projects that seems underdog will boom in the upcoming years

I still think EOS has a lot of ways to go, think about it at the start of 2019 it wasn't something major, it wasn't seen as a great altcoin, then during just 1 year they became one of the top leading altcoins in the world and they have been used so much that because of insane number of transactions their blockchain got clogged. That Is a HUGE leap to have inside just one year if you ask me. On the other hand I feel like maybe they have done their best year?

Maybe from now on they will go down? Maybe that was their peak? I don't really know because I don't know what the team behind EOS will do, it is a coin that Is loved by Chinese government as well (or at least they say so) so I am not entirely sure what will happen, it has an INSANE potential for sure but will they capitalize on that potential?

if a coin still have a lot future potentials you will easily find out by checking their roadmap, if there is no more interesting future updates just forget about such and look for others

We have thousands of altcoin being developed everyday. I can't really ascertain the best of them all cos the bearish market it's making the token I have now to look shitty to me. I believe by next year, I can be able to know the fate of the token I have now

Of course, there is no guarantees, but I think that during the growth of the whole market, the Binance will itself make the pump of those altcoins that conducted IEO on their exchange. it is very easy to understand. It is not profitable for them now to delists these coins from the exchange. they will take the maximum money out of these coins. but after the first pump, we will no longer see these coins

For me there is no way altcoins in development these dayds are going to hit hard the next year or so, what I believe is that other bitcoin contenders such as EOS, Ethereum and LTC are going to make a big step. There is just no clear indications that new altcoins are going to make a huge difference, you can even see the shitty coins in the market entering dormancy phase. The market has grown. investors learned their lesson so I don't think investors will still give a shot on new projects.

Even IEO projects are getting hard times, there is a high chance that 2020 will be just another year like 2019.

The most useful title I've seen lately. The price of Matic rose very much and then fell. The Matic team is successful in advertising. I think Matic can get a lot better. I only have doubts about Binance. Coins traded in Binance seem to be in control of another force.

many hopes expressed by users and activists of crypto with the coming year. because it's been two years through crypto in a period that doesn't make many people enjoy luck. Already many new altcoins arose last time that did not receive the fortune to be good and maybe next year will also grow even more, but also can not guarantee there will be good news from that growth. I agree that ethereum is still the best altcoin to be able to develop and be an investment other than bitcoin of course. hopefully there is a good altcoin growing again.

I think you put together a list of the best projects that are currently underway but after I noticed that almost all projects that have entered your list are projects that have been completed in 2019 ;D , I think BCNEX is one of the altcoin projects that deserve to get first place in the list that you compiled, and the  FUNCTION X, BBOD and also Vite project might be one of my recommendations for a list of projects that you are currently making.

I really wish ethereum and EOS projects need to be updated AMD I am personally expecting them to boom in the market as well as instigate the good business automatically investors and range of trading also will be increased based upon that.
Many traders doesn't like to invest on BTC for those people these two cryptocurrencies are very much useful to make there early bird investment.

It is undeniable that a lot of altcoins are growing all the time and of course there are a lot of them now. can anyone determine a good altcoin but whether it can guarantee that it will be good in time and continue to grow? no one can be sure. I agree with you just like I also have a lot of altcoin received at this time but with a situation that is not good, they have not dared to let go of the market and hold it for the right situation, because if it is forced then altcoin will actually be destroyed collapsed. be patient waiting for the right time a lot is done now.

Im a big fan of ELF. They keep developing and are active in social media quite a bit. There are very few projects that are really being developed and not just defrauding money with months passing by since their ICOs.

Recently we have seen a completely upwards trend in the Matic, which we don't see any development release from the team, but manages to reach to new ATH, I think Matic is not a long term investment, there are other potential and active development coins in the market which we have to research a lot before buying them in the market.

I would definitely add Newscrypto.io to the list and the newly developed NWC token that supports them.

I have joined their Telegram channel from the beginning and I saw much progress.

They are not an ICO and are self-funded that is why they took it a bit slow but in the end, the keep updating their site and their token has great potential.

Main idea of the project is to have all on one platform, everything a crypto trader needs for trading, researching etc... (Trading tools, Educational program, community predictions, news..)

I will choose Binance coin, XLM, ETH and Tezos ... these are the best altcoins in 2019 and it will certainly be pumped strongly in 2020. Previously I had held Matic for a long time but after It collapsed last week and I lost faith in it, along with all the IEO projects at the Binance exchange.

Indeed we know that this is a problem that is quite difficult and a prolonged year since 2018. But indeed there is enough that can be held for investment, and I agree with the opinion above to be able to hold BNB, XLM and of course Ethereum. but I am very enthusiastic about ethereum because I consider that today a very reliable and not impossible will still succeed after bitcoin.

In your list, I see only Hydax and Bcnex are fine. Bcnex has attracted more than $ 28 million and their team is trying their best to develop exchange. You can visit Bcnex's Twitter page to see how active they are in promoting reputation. As for Hydax, it is actually one of the most potential coins of exchange. Its volume is doing pretty well and it is important that they have a support fund in the back. so it is easier to develop exchange in this bear market.

Nothing can beat what bnb does for year 2019, I don't know yet when will happen with hydax in the long run. That's why I choose bnb aside from other top promising coins in the market. Maybe I will do some studies on other coins, and that will be a very interesting one to tackle, once good market will initiate for cryptocurrency.

only one on the list is in my watch list and that is hydax,have but of course nothing is specific until things comes so for now i will just follow more on this.

Good idea OP, hope some of the coins listed will bring what most people expect, a profit, but even so people should make own research before invest. But i will check later next year what happen with all this coins to see.

Blocknet is promising - been running since 2014.

I believe this one could pull a 100x easily long term, since they was the first to make a real DEX, and what most people don't realize is, it's the only real DEX on the market to this date. All the other "DEX's" you see competing, isn't truly decentralized, sadly.

Well, most crypto projects lack the marketing or pursuit of public awareness and acceptance. Most of them only have coding skills and only that. A dev team should be well rounded and has strong connections to crypto influencers.

I believe Gold liquidity stablecoin should included in the OP list a company have once worked for and its a project funded by the developer team with 24/7 marketplace for instant buy and sell of the token with BTC, ETH. Besides, it already listed on capital market (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/digital-gold/) and various of exchange site.

I chose FUNCTION X and BCNEX. IMO, both will be big.

BBOD??  I'm not sure this project is one of the best projects that will take off in 2020.

I see gold functions like a stable coin, the price depends on the value of the excess gold to avoid inflation, and the increase in value depends on gold.
so I don't think gold is suitable for being the top project of 2020.
There is many project is good, maybe you should take a look more.

Honestly my definition of best altcoins is a strong coins which cannot be easily affected by the pump and dump.
And actually this year especially in the 1st half of the year I find a good new coins which I think has a great potential but when market changes lead by bitcoin, that potential looks gone because their price are dropping, even the coins in your list, I don't trust them for now.

The above-mentioned coin is very good for the long term because the short term we are seeing the prices are going down very quickly. Instead of focusing on the short term we should aim for the long term and it will surely help us to reach our desired targets.

Exchange tokens like BNB and ecxx are a good bet.

it is difficult to determine whether the project is the best for 2020 because we know that this year everything is in a bad time and very unreliable because everything is not good and the market is responding poorly. BNB is quite good and whether it can survive, hopefully at least there is a reliable BNB to be a reference.

I would add Livepeer. It is small technical project with quite interesting use case. Check it out.

Really? Based of what you made this statement? Are you forget that bitcoin and some altcoins have been increasing in early at this month? Yeah you haven't saw them. Only see their price in the last year and you haven't saw their currently price. I think this year is become the year of cryptocurrency because if you compare with the last year movement price it was really different. Could you see in the early month of last year almost cryptocurrencies price were decreased even most of their price touch all time low. But now, it is really different their prices have increased and we just wait for a while to come bull run and I'm sure it will come at this year.

there must be a sense of optimism to expose this and I agree with the opinion of colleagues that this early year is better when compared to the same year. This indicates that there will be a very positive increase and hopes that many investors will start to get excited again and believe that there will be a good growth of new projects. so that bitcoin can provide a very positive impetus and will stimulate crypto again.
we must be sure that there will be changes and many new good projects will grow.

I saw Harmony protocol on the list, and I'm quite optimistic about the project. Being the first sharded POS blockchain to deliver on its fully functional mainnet and set to do great things with DeFi in 2020 - they are more focused on obsessed with CrossFi: cross border payments. I recently saw a pretty potential project for 2020, which is Cartesi. one of the most realistic roadmap projects I've ever known. Besides, the project has been mentored as CEO of IOST (one of the coins having a marketcap of more than $ 400m currently). They are actively seeking more partners and have the FBC investment fund behind them.
