Title: Question Regarding Loan
Post by: cabalism13 on December 11, 2019, 02:23:01 PM
Is there any possibility to get a loan by Goods? And payable within the proposed dates?
For example:
I would like to find a lender who can provide a Goods (smartphone, laptop, etc) and payable within the agreed terms...
Also the amount will be based on what both parties have agreed... example: if you we're able to spend 0.005 BTC for a smart phone within this day then whatever happens to the market I shall pay you 0.0075 BTC...

Is this possible? I'm currently on the Philippines and I know that there are countries who have low price when it comes to gadgets... Also I don't mind shouldering the shipping fees as well. I really don't understand my wife but it seems she wants to try all smartphone Brands. LoL, so I think, we could save money even if its just a few dollars if we could get the item from other countries.

I apologize in advance for I dont know what should only be lend here by lenders. But if its possible I would like to try this.

So you want someone to buy you a phone, ship it to you, and then you pay back in installments?

Just take a loan and buy the phone in two separate actions, much simpler that way I think. Might be hard to find a lender who is also able and willing to ship overseas and take that additional risk.

I'm not sure about other countries, but if I were to ship an item over-seas I have to disclose the contents of the package.  Your customs office would assess the value and charge you any tariffs or taxes that are due anyway.  So, maybe it wouldn't be any cheaper for you to just buy it.

And like suchmoon mentioned, sending physical goods over-seas adds a significant amount of risk.  The package could get lost or damaged, and deciding who's responsible for replacement could get sticky.  Additional insurance on the package could compensate for that scenario, but then adds to the cost.  Not to mention the additional time and effort required, for which the lender may ask to be compensated.  All in all, your effort to save a few bucks could end up costing you more.

I really don't understand my wife

You don't have to understand, just listen.  Take it from someone who learned that lesson the hard way.  :P
