From the outside, it looks like they are only 2 people at most developing it.

Yes, you are right. At the moment we have two developers. One is in charge of the core wallet and the second one is just starting to develop the proposal system platform.
We also have a person in charge for the marketing actions and the last but not least in charge of the adoption process.
This project is progressing faster than expected and the team is growing quickly.

Regarding the source code. We will be sharing it here shortly.

Hi Peacefmind, the app in Linux doesn't need an extension - you're nearly there.  Just go to the terminal (command prompt) and make it executable by going chmod +x meraki-qt (you may need to put sudo at the front if you don't have permissions).  Then simply run it by typing ./meraki-qt and it will launch in your GUI.

Most of the nodes own devs, miner get small amount of coins not to grow nodes fast.
Even if you buy coins, devs will add more nodes, so you will get again small amount of coins.

Thank you for your comment but no need to insult. Two-tier network with incentivized nodes. Bugs in Dash source code got fixed before launch. That is the whole point of incentivized nodes that it is very important that this project will have enough miners and nodes in very early stage of the blockchain. Without them we cant work. It is very profitable to mine it and also to run a masternode. Specially in very early stage of the project. Thank you everyone who is doing it! 10% goes to miners because we are using technology called "chainlocks" what prevents 51% attack and dont need so many miners to secure the network. So it means we have much more % from block reward to give it all the other sectors. 60% of block reward is going to divided between masternodes (investors who will be super motivated to run a node and who will bring the market cap up and we have 20% for Meraki proposals and 10% to Charity. Meraki will be the first coin what will actually have proposal system what does not only benefit the network but also charity projects what are not connected with the network. We believe that in near future cryptocurrency's are taking care of society exactly this way.

I'd like to understand better how the 10% for charities will be shared. Who will decide who will benefit? I like the idea, and I agree this should be the purpose of cryptocurrencies to benefit to all: being decentralized is nice but if the only purpose is to benefit a few, as financial institutions do...
On the other hand, I agree Devs should not own most of the nodes if you want to attract people to your project.

What did you new in code, you even did not remove all dash text in your wallet, was so lazy.
And again you reward settings are just for hype, sell coins from your premine and your nodes to the market and dump market at the end!
You even dont have info about masternode settings in you page, so people cant setup them fast.
And you are doing 60% attack with the help of nodes, there is no difference at all!

You are saying NO PRE-MINE, let see first blocks...
Block 1 -180 Generation: 2200 + 0 total fees, so your premine is 396k, so you are capable to start 396 nodes without any investment.
And you are now doing it, grow nodes to limit coins in public, so dont tell me that you are care about economy of this shitty coin!

It's a real shame that people always stick to one or two pools when mining as they follow where all the miners are, but unless you have some smart code to stop this from happening, I can't see how you will achieve a forced decentralization. Don't get me wrong, I am all for decentralizing and your intentions are good, and I wish you well and will help wherever I can, but I don't think this is realistic.

They will not achive decentralization with this:
•   10% miners
•   10% Charity proposals
•   60% Masternodes
•   20% Meraki network support proposals

its should be at least
•   40% miners
•   10% Charity proposals
•   40% Masternodes
•   10% Meraki network support proposals

or

•   25% miners
•   25% Charity proposals
•   25% Masternodes
•   25% Meraki network support proposals

But nobody will support such project without benefits for devs to get money from air.
Masternode does not create blocks, POW miners create blocks, MNs only support budget system for charity proposal.
Btw proposal system integrated in Dash long time ago, but its called budget system, so don't say that you are the first.
60% MN create full centralization of the hole system, more MN more the power to control proposals.
And proposals it's free coins at all.

So we will re launch Meraki soon with little changes. We do it very openly. Block reward will stay the same. You might understand it after 5 years and you dont have to support us. I would at least expect a swap of coins to the new blockchain. At least this would show some sort of respect and acknowledgement for the people who have already spent a lot of their money on electricity and rentals to mine this coin.  If a new blockchain is created, it will be the same people that you want to mine it, and now they have been burnt and perhaps their trust lost.

Its always a risk to mine or buy new coins and no one can guarantee to recover spendings in such situation.
You may mine or not again it will not change devs decision as you see.
Anyway it's better get stable price than receive dump market at the beginning.
I assure you devs will not support market dumps with swap coins, everyone will dump to recover their needs and move away.

A very usual approach to every project. After all, why are people mining a specific coin? Of course, it is only one thing, so when the time comes, they can sell what they mined once it hit in exchanges. It is not that they will collect and hold this coin for long term. Because most alts lose their value up until no more is interested in buying the coin. So the earlier you get rid of the coin, the better on your end.

here there is a new coin who has the same code of meraki , just algo is changed to original x11 and the masternode reward is different. maybe we should mine it instead of meraki

forking a coin is easy. however there are a lot of bugs in the code. I stopped my masternodes when i read announcement and i continue to receive coins and people hasnt stopped to mine it too..
such a waste of resources. such a waste of time. such a shame restarting a coin.

I think the beginning dump is part of the natural course of a coin . this will not ruin a coin but it will be more strong. Eth has been sold at 0,1 cent at the beginning. see now. but losing coin by restarting the chain is ridicoulous

The algorithm is one x17, and the wallets are different, why? Everyone worked mining to maintain the network for free, now new wallets, new addresses and new ones need to start mining, but where is the compensation, where is there some respect for the miners? This Dev is wrong.
I again launched the miner with the new address mLkCdFeSntUZzWuHnNGkLiGyps4uuYqfx2 but this is wrong, although I don’t know why it happened.  :'(

We have been taking all the questions and summarized them here.

1) Why the first launch failed?

Mistake 1 (We learnt from it)

When we launched the blockchain. We didnt know the blocktime wasnt 2.5 minutes but it was faster so it means we got more funds than expected. Everything happened in seconds and bunch of coins landed on the first miners (and us also, too many)

Mistake 2

We were in negotiations with Crex24 to be listed within 36-48 hours (in order to give access to everybody) not only miners. It did not happen and this was really vital to get not just miners involve since the early stage of the project but everybody! So what happened was that access was limited to only 1 miner who put the MNs up and try to take over the network.
There was a clear attempt to control the network and this will put in risk the whole project, community and investors. As our main purpose is decentralization we could not let this happen.
This miner had a chance to dump the project at any given chance.

2) Can we get a compensation?

We invested our hash power, human resources, time and energy from who will we get the compensation? We took the risk like everybody. We did not reach the exchange so nobody profit from it.
We will make Meraki work.

3) The "Re-Launch"

With this re-launch. We put all our mining rigs to support Meraki network and we got together 75k coins to insure the direction of the project. Today core-team is not mining anymore. There is no need as we can keep track of the project and we are live in the market.

4) Why Meraki Core-Team is holding 75 masternodes?

Meraki Core-Team has 75 Masternodes to lead this project to the right direction. We see that it is very important for core team to lead and grow Meraki until it learns to walk and then step by step we will decentralize the project as soon as Meraki will start walking on the direction of the roadmap. If we dont have the 75 Masternodes then the whole project will take a very different path. We are expecting around 6000 masternodes in the network and the Core-Team is not adding any more masternodes and the funds of the reward will be used for the network development.

5) Does Meraki core-team will have more than 75 masternodes?

No, we will not have more than 75 masternodes.

6) How Meraki will be decentralized?

Our calculations are expecting 6000 masternodes Core-team will hold 75 of them. While reaching the goals of Meraki development and road-map. We will liquidize what we need for development, as less as possible.
We will decentralize the project step by step as soon as Meraki will start meeting the roadmap plans.

7) Can I swap the old MEK to new MEK?

The main aim of our project has been mentioned many times and we did not promise people will be rich by mining.
So it is an economically decision people made - an investment - and by external factors something happened and people couldn’t get what they wanted (a cheap coin to mine)   The correction was made immediately to minimize any negative implication that it could arise.  This project still working and will be working.

Dependencies

Install Sentinel

Sentinel is "used" as a script called from cron every minute.

Submit the signed message

We will now submit the ProRegTx special transaction to the blockchain to register the masternode. For this proposal, most of the funds, if not all (taking into account the current market price) will be liquidised for equipment rent and pay a symbolic fee for the person doing post prod if there is any left.
To tell more about myself. I am a marketing person, CMO in a product development/testing company. My everyday job is to find strategy and partners for execution.
Personal interest in this project is to make Meraki project and community grow, start with short descriptive videos for the community so they get to know the project.

What will be the Meraki Evolution?

Meraki’s implementation of usernames on the blockchain is vastly more robust, secure, and capable than centralized solutions. Some coins have centralized services that allow you to make payments using usernames (particularly web wallets). These services are not trustless —you have to trust their integrity and honesty. Other coins, like Bitcoin Cash, are just assigning aliases to cryptographic addresses, which still allows anyone to see the full balance by searching by the alias. With Meraki Evolution, username will be part of the protocol and trustless, and balances will be completely secure. So we can send for example Merakis from username  Melady to Bigtom privately.

So it will be a bit like Kickstarter but in a decentralized way. At the moment only Masternode owners can make a budget proposals. But with the new website update what we are building is coming a feature so everyone can make a proposals. Any news? Why there's a sudden dump of MERAKI?

There were 90% of fake nodes (so called phantom nodes) which owned meraki team I think (nodes created from first 1000+ blocks).
Then found out that ban system was turned off and now still continue to be turned off.
Currently more than 300 offline (phantom) nodes are still active and getting reward.
