Title: Exchanges that offers staking service
Post by: Bitbtc8 on December 13, 2019, 01:35:00 PM
Here are information about exchanges that offers rewards through staking and name of the coins that they support on their platforms

1. HUOBI WALLET: ATOM, ONT, IOST, LOOM, IRIS, IOTX.

2. KUCOIN: TEZOS, ATOM, IOST, LOOM, EOS, VSYS, TRON, ELA, EOSC, IOTX, LOKI, NEBL, ENERGI, TOMO, NULS, WAN, PIVX, ONION.

3. BINANCE: VET, XLM, TEZOS, ATOM, ONT, TRON, STRATIS, QTUM, ONE, NEO, KMD, ELROND, FET, ALGO

4. GATE: TEZOS, ATOM, ONT, EOS, VET, TRX, SERO, NAS, ALGO

5. OKEX: TEZOS, ATOM, IOST, CRO, EOS, VSYS, YOU

6. BIBOX: BTM, ATOM, IRIS

7. COINBASE: TEZOS

8. BITMAX: ALGO

9. KRAKEN: TEZOS

As you can see all these staking are from top exchanges, my advice is to stay away from low rated exchanges that offers staking service, very soon they will claim to offer same service as well, if you have something else to add on the list pls do

bithumb, poloniex and idex, additional information: https://www.cryptomorrow.com/2019/10/05/cryptocurrency-exchanges-where-you-can-stake-crypto-and-earn/ , and Kraken also plans to launch today for staking tezos with a fixed rate of 6%: https://www.theblockcrypto.com/linked/50173/kraken-the-latest-exchange-to-enter-staking-as-a-service

can you write more about reward distribution / unlock period for each exchange, and together with the interest rate, this is interesting.

I prefer using Binance above all the other exchanges. The simple reason is nil Withdrawl fee and Binance has one of the largest Staking pool than all the other exchanges combined.

When you first start crypto and even in the forum now under the beginner section you are told to never leave your coins in exchange and to finish your business and withdraw. Staking on an exchange goes against this advice. When you stake you are buying a significant amount of coins and risking losing them all. Why not just stake them yourself? Why pay an exchange a cut and give them control over your coins?

If you are talking about nodes then that is another thing. This is not staking, it is similar though. The reason people share nodes is due to the high price of some of them. With nodes, I can understand using a third party and would recommend an exchange over a "node staking pool" ultimately though you want control of your own investment.

This is my advice as well.

Don't get into an exchange that is not popular and proven to be trustworthy. Meanwhile, Tezos is the most liked staking coin so far by most exchanges. There is also a new update from ledger wallet that they are also allowing staking tezos on their wallet.

Yup, everyone should stay away from those mid-tier exchange that offer staking service because we really don't know their intent. We have seen lots of those kind of exchanges exit scamming lots of investors. So it would really be a good practice to stay away and go for reputable exchange that has staking services like the OP has posted. It is better to be safe than sorry here.

Yes 👍, that is why I will never include mid rated exchanges on the list because they can can exit scam at any point in time, top exchanges are better and they pay rewards as promised

As far I know bittrex also offer staking service. If you hold NEO in bittrex you will get GAS for free.Though I don't have NEO in my bittrex but In 2017 that was the rewards. After they changed it or not.Maybe till now they offer staking service for holding NEO.
Note: I know that in 2017 but now they are paying or not I don't know the exact news.

Staking may sound pretty good but here are some downsides that one should consider before going for it.
1. You have to store your coins on the exchange. If thats not there then it good. But if you have to store coins there then be at risk when hacks happen.
2. They may force KYC on your at any moment and put your funds on lockdown unless you clear them. At the moment your hands are tied and you have no authorities to complain to.
3. Staking rewards are pretty low if you are hoping to find something similar like a good interest rate from bank - then you are mistaken.
4. The staking rewards token will also be dumped making it difficult to reap any profit in the sell orders.

I go against all this exchanges staking idea because honestly you are not 100% in control of your funds, exchanges are operate by humans they can be greedy on you at any time, find staking coins that allow staking in your own wallet not exchanges

No matter how big an exchange is they can get hacked any time and it's 50/50 chances maybe you will ever get refunds, don't say because binance refund users in last hack that they will be able to refund users if another hack takes place, it's better to stay safe

Even these top exchanges still have the chance of being hacked or at least data breached because there's no system safe but staking in a third rate exchange is simply seeking death.
However, instead of staking your money in exchange which basically the same as entrusting your money to a stranger, why don't you just stake it yourself by using your own PC or renting vps which requires relatively low money but safer.

Among the nine exchanges it is KUCOIN who offers the most staking services but those who are less interested, I like the most in BINANCE, GATE, and HUOBI the reason is because these three exchanges that I know are very famous and vigilance is very necessary to calculate a land of our funds

If you are an old member or someone who has known about cryptocurrency as a whole you will be avoid it. You will only trust to the reputable exchange although they ask you with the high fee. But for those who didn't know or just new to this market they will find a service which ask a lower fee and entice with another advantage when they use the service.

Yobit is also serves a staking services long time ago but the exchange fame and credibility is not good so people are not trusting the exchange. But right now i think yobit is building the community again from the beginning and the volume is increasing each day which will be great for the future and people can forget the past

But if you can have your own wallet inside your own device why would you bother to use exchange service. Not against those reputable exchange but even they have an established reputations there's still chances that you can be hacked not the site itself but your account. Hackers always have an eye inside every exchange if they seen that there's a huge amount of assets inside certain wallets they will do everything to penetrate and sucked everything. be very careful with your venue of investment.

the profit from staking is lower than direct trading.

for day traders may not be too happy with this, but alternative offers do provide benefits. It may be worth noting about the contract locking system, especially in small exchanges, this can be dangerous if the exchange has problems and your funds are still locked for a long time.

Personally I will go for Binance because of it be one of the best exchange around the world. Staking in other cryptocurrency exchanges are more risking than sending money to a scammer, just my opinion. Its security apparatus have what it takes to hold users or investors funds without be scare of loose.

It is clear that low exchanges should be avoided, especially in offering staking on their exchanges. Clear people will think staking will choose in exchanges which are visited by large investors. Of course, I choose Binance and Huobi as choosing safer staking, many offers from low exchanges do not will make investors trust even more.

You are right, that is some disadvantage if we choose staking. And you mention the right points. Until now, I did not choose staking, in my opinion, the spread is too low for small players like me, it feels less effective. The most terrible risk is that we have to save it in the wallet exchange, it's quite risky if we involve a lot of funds, right?
Well, but this is quite effective for those who don't like the risk of volatility in trading, just by saving assets and receiving rewards, contributing to the operational blockchain.

The profit will increase if your capital is increasing overtime too. There are many whales out there staking and got plenty of money and it';s basically like stock or shares where you will get dividend based on your investment and the bigger the better your profit will become. Trading is too risky for many people and they can't observe market everytime. staking only good if you have unused money and quite big amount of them I must say.

A very good exchange that offers betting services. however, only a few exchanges provide betting services for prize hunters. even though the trades that provide betting services are very good. because the price of the coins is clear and tested.

I believe all many more exchanges has staking program, all depend your analyze and fund, follow or not is your decision. Staking program can be use to keep cash flow running in exchanges, but I'm not recommended any staking program to follow. Red market become the biggest problem right now, even we have much reward all will have no value when sell in market. Think again before too late.

True, because risking our funds on the exchange is very risky to lose, because sometimes there are unexpected things and sudden exchange of repairs that could jeopardize the funds of the exchange user, so it's better to keep it in a personal wallet than to risk it on the exchange.

Totally agree with JOHN above me. I admit I have a little bit of TRX on Binance but it is a small amount not even worth $100 that I do not mind losing if Binance runs. The fact it gives me rewards from the airdrops (currently 2 airdrops from TRX) every month for the next year or more even, that is fine by me. Of course I will be pissed if Binance steals all that but that is a risk calculated that saves me the effort of having my own wallet and maintaining TRX plus 2 other drops. If I had 3-digits, then no it would never be worth it.

Thank you for the list. It will help people who are not aware of the coins which can be staked while buying. Also never buy coins from a low volume exchange because they can list/unlist any coin in a day, it will be harder for you to sell if the coin is not listed anywhere else.
I have personally staked some coins like ONE and NEO. Thinking to buy some more.

I am interested with staking ATOM coin because price keep higher and stable more than last two month, but any one know how much percent allocation for ATOM staking coin on Huobi Wallet, how long time period to get staking coin will be one month or shortest than other staking coin with Binance for xlm, last two week I got ATOM raised with higher price about 5% for coin growing up.

This. Has the stuff that's happened to Upbit and IDAX not taught anyone anything?

What about Poloniex, where people who held their coins there to lend them out got badly burned?

Don't trust exchanges. Use them for quick trades and then withdraw your coins or fiat. And stake your coins in your own wallet.

Are you a day trader?

Estimated Annual Yield for ONE coin is around 8%, and sweetened with a no-fee rule, if you are a daily trader can calculate double or more profit in one month period in the same nominal if you choose to staking. All risks are directly proportional to the expertise of traders in managing traded assets. Staking are also risky if the actual price is much lower than the initial purchase estimate, although the risk is lower, it is not suitable for active traders.

Of course buddy. besides the biggest staking, binance prioritizes user safety and comfort. because staking coins in the stock exchange, it is better to choose an exchange that has the best reputation and sufficient volume, so the results of staking we can sell or trade to take more profits, of course for the selection of volume must also be considered.

I am not confident with staking these days, because there's no reason to take it as profitable. Most probably I will be falling unto the trap of possible trap. everyone must realize this, however good the reputation of the exchange is still not enough to guarantee our money. so we need to know that if there is hacking (for example) what they will do to our money, this is the only statement I need to feel safe when staking in exchange, hoping there will be a replacement if possible

Dont know much about other exchanges, but on Kucoin you can stack any amount of coins. Plus you dont have to do anything. Simply deposit coins, wait 24h and they will start to bring profit automatically.

I have found these list of stackable coins in kucoin on other forum (https://cryptotalk.org/topic/20788-пaccивный-дoxoд-c-пpoгpaммoй-soft-staking-нa-биpжe-kucoinпoшaгoвaя-инcтpyкция/?tab=comments#comment-681614). The number is the percent you will receive daily.

It is a good effort and hence the merit, i was not aware of the staking facility by all these exchanges but my advice to everyone is not never risk your coins in the name of staking as we have seen many hacks in the past and we all know the formalities it takes to get those coins even if they claim that they injured everyone's coin, so be cautious while doing these as i do not trust these exchanges one bit to hold my coin for a long period of time.

Great info and good to know that there are lots of exchanges offering staking services I only know only though(Binance). Staking is a great opportunity to make a profitable income as you only have to do is hodl a certain coin  and let grow. Aside from the token is increasing in value, you also be able to get additional token according to token's staking percentage.

With all the wave of hacks that have plagued the cryptocurrency exchange industry over the years, I would back away from staking on an exchange. Of course the entire concept of staking involves a user keeping hold of a large number of coins to gain a small portion of it and it goes without saying that even the top-tier exchanges in the industry have been known to be shaky when it comes down to their backend security.

my advice is to stay away from low rated exchanges that offers staking service, very soon they will claim to offer same service as well,

Goes without saying that the lower tier exchanges will also come up with similar offers in attempts to rotate the 'staked' coins and then the entire operation goes horribly wrong for many concerning reasons.

yes that right , we on new trend right now , i guess it is a kind of action taken by the company to increase interest in certain crypto,

i guess staking is a alternative solution besides continue trading.

Staking coins is suitable for very conservative investors who are ready to receive 5-10 percent per year on cryptocurrency. This option does not good for me. I’ve been on the market for a long time and I understand that if you use your money smart there is a days where you can earn 100-200 percent per day if you choose the right coin.

In my opinion this is good to force people to treating exchanges like banks. however, you should not be keeping your coins on the exchange because leaving stakeable coins on an exchange leads to centralization of mining or staking power which is bad and counterproductive to the security principles of blockchain technology. also If the exchange gets hacked or pulls an exit scam, all your coins are gone forever.

For some reason there are people who actually are just storing their coins in the exchanges, its not recommended but they do it to keep it at bay ready for dumping incase they hit the target price.

They are not going to be forced to store coins in exchanges, its only an option for them. Probably just staking few coins would be good so it won't be one of the worse that could happen if exchange is hacked or took an exit scam.

Anyone must be aware about this service, sometime stacking earning is not worth at all, you can get more coin but that has significant dumping in value. I suggest for anyone who want to do stacking on exchange, you guys should be wise to choose what the best one or if you can't decide that will be better if you save in USDT or other stable coin.

Staking is good for making easy money unless there are no other choices. Just invest and wait for the time to run out. But for me it is a little different than it looks. Not being able to touch the investment for 1 year, regardless of whether the investment remains in the exchange or wallet, is not worth the profit of %5-10. Losing value is likely in such volatile market in 1 year. That is why trade is more preferable. If you had just bought BTC at the beginning of this year, you would have earned %100 with current price.

Yobit is also serves a staking services long time ago but the exchange fame and credibility is not good so people are not trusting the exchange. But right now i think yobit is building the community again from the beginning and the volume is increasing each day which will be great for the future and people can forget the past
If I'm about to stake, I'll choose Binance, kucoin and Coinbase than yobit. Those bad experiences that other people that have made there can't be gone easily. But if the amount is really high, I might hold it rather than to entrust my whole funds to an exchange.

We don't hold the future and no matter how trustworthy they are, still they are an exchange and they can be hack anytime. It's your choice to stake your coins there but I think the coins they're staking are not the known ones.

So Kucoin and Binance looks like the best solution for holding and staking many diffrent altcoins.
But be careful, it is an easy solution how to store your cryptocurrencies on one place, but we know that all exchanges are vulnerable against the hack attack.
Maybe the future is in a decentralized (not custody) multi staking wallet?  8)

2. KUCOIN: TEZOS, ATOM, IOST, LOOM, EOS, VSYS, TRON, ELA, EOSC, IOTX, LOKI, NEBL, ENERGI, TOMO, NULS, WAN, PIVX, ONION.

As you can see all these staking are from top exchanges, my advice is to stay away from low rated exchanges that offers staking service, very soon they will claim to offer same service as well, if you have something else to add on the list pls do
I'm very active in this forum but I don't know as much staking program in so many exchange. Staking reward is very low instead do trade. I got staking reward from so many coin in my wallet, we can trust top exchange offer like Binance, Okex, Kucoin and Coinbase.

Yes, I agree everything is from a popular exchange. This might be a recommendation for those who invest, and get money from investing.

This. Has the stuff that's happened to Upbit and IDAX not taught anyone anything?
Sadly enough, people run for quantity and not quality when it comes to some free money being given out. They take every exchange for granted and think its the best in the world to keep all their coins staked there to generate free income until one day they drop the ball.

What about Poloniex, where people who held their coins there to lend them out got badly burned?
Dont forget about the exchange called Nexybit where people used to trade mining "scheme"/scam to stake coins and then one day the exchange told its investors to "Fuck off", deleted telegram profiles and sold off to some other unknown company. Sad thing is that nobody has the power to sue them.

Don't trust exchanges. Use them for quick trades and then withdraw your coins or fiat.
I doubt anybody posting here will read these comments.

And stake your coins in your own wallet.
Thats again not possible with all coins, or worthy of doing.

well for sure ,just believe me , i've been on market since a long time ago , and believe me , 100-200%/day is no more than wishfull think for now.
except u dare to buy a low liquidity coins and hoping soon a whales try to pump that coins , or gamble table.
of course investor will not choose that option.

That's why choose a "great future" coins is necessary, at least reach ROI as soon as possible. Because staking basically earn a "bonus" which means no significant profit can be expected.

But if you looking to mine coins thru PoS it's better to use own wallet, trusting third-party have much risk, some of things that should be consider: the security, fees, verification, payment method and support.

Can't still trust top exchanges with my thousand dollars but if i am already in millions of dollars i can easily risk it but for people who are still struggling to earn hundreds of dollars its recommended to stake in your wallets instead

if you dont trust exchange then you must be a guy that never traded or have not bought a coin on any exchange ? milion dollar or thousand dollar both are still money and money should be taken care off .  if you feel its risky , you wont dare trying  it and does not matter how much amount you own  . and you think wallets are trusted  ? wallets can also get hacked too  . if you arent aware , many wallets are already been hacked on the past as much as exchanges   .

Staking is already been use and it's been proven here in crypto currency community and definitely effective. There are a lot of projects that can be trusted here in which that needs more time to know it that can be potential demand in the digital world and can give a huge amount of profit in the future.
