This topic is interesting but you are thinking it the wrong way.

There is no "next bitcoin" or next superstar. Stop searching for this.
There will be other ways to make money with 10.000% or even more, but it won't be next bitcoin. It may be totally unrelated

I don't know any other digital asset. Maybe Amazon gift cards or such?

Right now it is bitcoin and the altcoins. When we talk about other digital assets, the next one is Libra and thia isn't a superstar. More things that serve to be a digital asset have the base from the cryptocurrency or the blockchain platform. As time goes, we'll get to know more and more about different digital assets reaching the market. How this get to be a superstar will be under discussion as defeating bitcoin isn't possible for now.

I don't understand what you mean by the next superstar. Is it a digital asset that will be able to beat crypto or just another good investment opportunity?

Anyway, you need to move this thread somewhere cause this section should be to discuss about Bitcoin only.

Do you mean digital assets, or virtual assets?

If you mean virtual assets, then there are domain names, e-books, and a few other concepts.

That's a fair point. I think the reason for that is that Bitcoin is so much more than some digital asset. Sure, it can be used to gain profit, but it can also be used to store value (preserve rather than profit) in a bank-free form, to get a feeling of a truly free market, so own money that is not controlled by any government or other entity, to possess something valuable that cannot be faked or to perform financial transactions without revealing the identity. And these are just some options that came to my mind.
A new superstar asset might be good in terms of profit but have no other important features or have those which are very different from those Bitcoin has.
But what's going to be the next big profitable thing - I have no idea.

The real digital asset or money is that which is not backed up with fiat, gold or any other asset. With this definition we only have bitcoin and the altcoins the true digital assets. Rest are just the form of digital goods but may not be pure digital.

Nope, no next superstar. Bitcoin will be that superstar for a lot of decades to come.

How can be your card points considered an asset? Lol that's hilarious. I'm sure there must be a way in economic what things could be classified as an asset. I don't study econ so I couldn't speak more about it. Another "asset" that I can think of is CSGO skins or other tradeable items in online gaming. People even store millions worth of these items lol.

I think anything can be your asset as long you own it, but the value is determined by the receiving party. Like if I receive OKB  as a payment, and I deem it is value to USD$100 then it is valuable as such.

I read sometimes back about some physical assets being used for specific purposes (like payment for transportation, tuition fees etc) in some parts of the world, sort of like a utility fiat currency.
We also have gift cards such as Amazon and iTines, but these lack speculative value and have limited applications. Cryptocurrency is the primary digital asset at the moment.

I think when it comes to digital assets the two assets that I think of are Bitcoin and Altcoin The altcoin is therefore less in demand than Bitcoin. But crypto usually runs for bitcoin Bitcoin is very popular and losing bitcoin is almost not possible The price of Bitcoin is low now but will go up Bitcoin is as reliable as before to people.

lol, i doubt anyone is interested in speculating on rewards points. i doubt they are even transferable to other people. not to mention that kmart is closing stores left and right, so of all stores, it won't be them. :P

https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/2019/11/07/kmart-sears-store-closings-96-stores-set-shutter-february-2020/2521653001/

i'll stick to cryptocurrency speculation myself. that's where the biggest returns are.

Besides cryptocurrency? There are so many digital assets or currency that exist like Paypal, Skrill, Payoneer and many more. But you know what? Bitcoin is far better in what I have mentioned above. Bitcoin offers decentralization, anonymity, and privacy, International Transactions is easier, low fees compared to others.

Speaking to you plainly here, at this present time technically all assets exist digitally now and cryptocurrencies are not actually pioneers in it. Stocks exists digitally you don't have to personally call a stock operator just to buy them and give you a stock certificate for the company's shares all is done digitally through a trading platform. The same can be said for bonds, mutual funds, and ETFs all of its process are mostly done with the use of the internet and not in a piece of paper. So really if you are looking for the next kind of “digital asset” you are seeing it right now and its Bitcoin and the rest of the coins that exists in the crypto market.
