Title: I would like your thoughts
Post by: cocoadreamboy on December 14, 2019, 07:41:02 PM
I just did a complete overhaul of my crypto fundamentals site, and I want you guys' feedback.

I want to know:

  • Are the concepts understandable?
  • Do you have any comments or suggestions to improve?

Here is my site:

https://www.amsinger.org

Thank you all!

looking better than first version
few tips:
in the sample signal you have a video explanation
i was gonna say a new way to word it (i edited it out) because after listening a few times it obviously isnt a professional scripted explanation, but the character of how it was said was genuine and summed it up eventually.. which actually made it more genuine than some scripted crap version. so i kept my mouth shut.

as for the reports. the title of some of the columns could be more user friendly
average joe: "what is WoW, and is -2% good or bad?"
average joe: "% creation costs different than profit?"
i would just have said 'hype' or 'over priced by' as a average joe title
and 'average creation cost' maybe try
'efficient creation cost' or 'base creation cost'

as we both know the average creation cost of different equipment and electricity regions would have a higher number

Nice dark layout.

I think you are charging for the service as I saw a "CART" appearing on the right side of the screen. How are you charging without visitor registering on the website?

I also think the client's statement should come prior to all other information in order to boost trust.

Thanks so much for the constructive criticism Franky. I will keep sculpting and defining it!

The creation cost is the baseline cheapest. For bitcoin, my current analysis has multiple "creation costs" for various machine prices, that makes resistance levels very clear ;)

Note to all people reading this, the sample does not have current efficiencies. In all honesty, the creation costs have all had a pretty major upgrade (as much as -30% difference with the new machine prices). It is (and will continue to be) a bear market for BTC, so go long with caution right now.

P.S. For the BTCTALK mods, thank you for helping move my threads to the right places. I have been learning and getting better (slightly), but you guys are kickass!

Thank you for the advice. Yes I run an email list for current information that I do charge for, but I have a completely free research library with various papers that I update regularly.

I will look at modding the client comments today, and see what I can do!

Thanks for the suggestion Railai! I think I’ll make it a more subtle red instead of the orange. Dark colors are easier on the eyes. My view is that we spend so much time looking at screens it is nice to see less straining colors vs the conventional whites and blues.

Will make more alterations today!

Updates have been made to aid with streamlining and the color palette. I accept all criticism!

The information you provided there is good, I can tell this way because I already knew 90% of it.
However the site itself is kinda confusing. I'm not a professional so can't really give you any advice, but it is pretty hard to understand structure of site and "where" I can find the info I want to.
I hope you understood what I meant here.
Also I believe you should use in-site texts instead of screenshots. For 2 reasons - pictures have slightly different color compared to site's background color and pictures can be blurry when you zoom in (or have bigger monitor).

Do you have any comments or suggestions to improve?
You and i know that it might be difficult to trust this type of services, i will suggest that you offer some days trials, may be 1 - 3 days trials for interested client and they can pay for subscriptions when they like the outcome of your services.

I have a previous efficiency sample analysis for that purpose. The service is a weekly report that gives full coverage of the institutional investment in crypto and a mid to long term view of the crypto markets, if I gave the current efficiencies and creation costs out, people would simply steal it and screw over my current clients. That I know for sure.

I don’t have an effective infrastructure to do free trials. I’m a sole entrepreneur I don’t have the (VC) cash to develop this type of long burn system (Uber, Amazon, etc). People would do a free trial, see the numbers, wait 3 months do another free trial, see the numbers, etc, etc.

As for the trust aspect. There is very little to trust. It is financial and accounting information. No different from earnings or profit information for a company, just for crypto. It’s the core of any crypto trading strategy hodl to day trade.

Crypto people have been “distrusting” of financial information for ever, but they trust almost any moron, scammer who’s spouting an ICO. It is not a “trust” thing, it is human emotion (envy and insecurity) that is making people afraid to accept reality.

For example people trust someone on trading view saying btc is going to $82.5k so they buy a $10k bitcoin. Then they lose $3k of value over a couple months, vs buy a subscription for $250/year and know clearly whether btc should be valued at $10k. It’s human emotion making crypto people make stupid decisions. Not a lack of trust. And believe me, once this business is solid, the prices will increase.

I refuse to screw the intelligent people (my clients) that have made the LOGICAL decision to understand the finances (not the fantasy) of crypto and make intelligent, financially-backed trades and decisions. Giving free trials would be a direct insult to the people that have supported me.

What i would suggest you to do it is make your site more interactive with well designed landing page which wont cost you much where you can attach some video demo and make users aware about what they buying. Also include the sources of the data and who are the one that is analysing them with their expertise.

Also collaborating with crypto newsoutlets you can get more traffic in commision basis. If you need more marketing ideas for your product contact me.

What do you mean by institutional investment? Afaik, there is no list of joined hedge funds in the crypto market, how you analyze the data form the order books? Of course, the institutional investors will consider the long term investments but there is no way to convince us they invested in the small market cap altcoins or altcoins on the top 100 CMC list.

As you should know, trust and liquidity are the two main points of any business. The lack of trust will create other problems over time, the logical decision-makers don't act with the opinion of other people. Just a small criticism here, nothing else.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions. It will take me a couple days to incorporate everything, and I will let you know when I complete the revision.

Many Many Many thanks to you all!

Edit: The goal is to make it more “interactive”.

It is stupid, but for some reason I never thought of doing a video demo for the page. I will get on this, when I am ready I will be happy to shoot you a message!

Thanks mobnepal

By institutional investors I mean the miners and brokers that control all the new inflation coins. They are the heavily invested “institutional” money in crypto. I monitor the prices that these people acquire coins.

The crypto hedge funds I have seen and spoken to are basically non entities. Just like in the stock market and conventional markets hedge funds don’t beat the average investor (by a long shot). Hedge funds are pomp and circumstance. Any guy with a ham sandwich and an index fund can and has beaten them.

As for the criticism: I am trying my best to understand how to properly convey the right trust. This is a more complex business than usual. Financial information for an emerging market rife with scams. It is a process that I’ve been working on for over a year now. Hopefully the new redesign conveys the work. To put it in perspective there hasn’t been a truly new form of financial analysis in decades.

What I make is a cost based analysis applied to the inflation rate of a commodity in order to identify the strongest buy support price and the combined profit/loss for the industry as a whole. All this to identify the likely mid/long term actions of the “institutional” players on the retail exchange price.

Bit of a mouthful...

I guarantee you are a better crypto trader than any crypto hedge fund. I’ve spoken to a few of them.

Thanks for the comment and the criticism

Too many reports are on pdf. Maybe you can add your examples on the website with download pdf option. For me, this is more readable https://www.amsinger.org/february-7-optimal-entry-point
Maybe you can add some daily or weekly short tips, just to know what we can expect from there. Not only paid version.
You haven't any communication channel. Social media, Discord etc... Now only here for Btctalk users. I guess it can help to get close to potential users.
btw. Nice service.
