Title: Would you play on a new dice? What features would it need for you to switch?
Post by: BTCDice.io on December 17, 2019, 07:42:53 PM
Hey
As in the title, would you play on a new dice site?

What features would you like to see that have not been done already?

What features would it need for you to switch from your current favourite dice site?

If you answered no, what games would you like to see done using crypto that haven't already?

Thanks

Honestly speaking when we do talk about Dice game then its already a saturated one and to think that there are lots of heavy competitors out there that had been already running for years
so if you cant offer better than that then better to cross out on making one on your list yet this would already be a tough path for you to take.
Ive chosen 'NO' in the poll and as mentioned on what game i do like to see is just like this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1392.0
When it comes to features then i would always prefer on having no sign up before you can play the game, a casual rainbot, some good animations.

- VR Dice. So I can actually enjoy the damn gaming experience with 3D sound effects.
 - Command-Line Access - Sometimes I just want to spend days only on my multiple terminal windows, would be nice to have a dice SDK that I can use to place betts from a CLI.
 - It should come with an editor to write my auto-betting scripts with a nice UI to run my tests.
 - If I'm not anonymous enough while signing up, it should cancel my registration.

This is a thing that you need to think on your own, "unique features".

A certain gambler doesn't have to specifically pinpoint or request what unique feature should be added on a new dice site. They played on a certain site because it catches their interest. Meaning those site owners successfully think of a nice way to catch everyone's attention. Your task now is to do the same, give those people a reason to test your site. I can't say what unique feature should be implemented so do brainstorming with your team and analyze what's the best feature should be.

If you answered no, what games would you like to see done using crypto that haven't already?

Any PvP games with a fair system as much as possible.

Maybe you can consider moving this thread to Gambling Discussion (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=228.0). This section is meant for the ANN posting.

If they are legit and has provably fair on their game, why not? But tbh, if i'm already satisfied with an old site which has been proven legit, i wouldn't spend my time on other new gambling site.

What new feature i'm hoping in a new dice site? Hmm, probably chat-lotto (but it was only in luckybit), it's like rainbot though

In order to get people to switch brands or sites you will need to offer better promotions then others offer. If you cannot compete with the other sites promos, then there is no sense even opening a new site until you can.

I see referrals, rakeback, cashback, wager contests( some offer 1k a day contest, some offer 5k a week, and some offer .3btc every other week or so), and whatever else other sites are currently offering.

You gotta have a reason for people to want to visit your site. Without the initial attraction it's a waste of time and money.

Any site that is launching should have very big advertising budget without it they will colapse

I wont answer it based on what I want to see on a new dice site but I'll suggest you to check those dice sites that has great traffic. Check what they offers to players, why they have great traffic, why players love to stay and play there? By this way, you'll know what you should do with your site (I'm assuming that you asking to know how to attract people to play on your site).

We have so many dice sites already, how if you prefer to focus on other games?
Unless you have great amount of money for advertising and promotions, then do not hope to much that people will move from their favorite dice site to new dice sites.
You should make a good reasons why people should try new site instead of staying on where they used to play.
The key to success is to provide better service and better offers to players compared to other sites. At least you should be able to compete with all existing dice sites.

You are better off just creating a different and unique way of gambling instead of plain old dice. Right now there are many old veteran dice sites out there that have years of experience and reputation that it would be difficult to get users to switch. One way that the site could get gamblers would be maybe by doing a massive promo on Google and someone new to Crypto might choose your site over Primedice or Fortunejack.

If you have certain features like very very small house edge or some large faucet or great promos then obviously you would get some people to switch however how will you make money that way? Would be very difficult.

My advice is to create something such as "PacMan Crypto" where people pay BTC to play Pacman and each ball that Pacman eats they get some BTCs and if they get eaten by the aliens then they lose everything. This would be an interesting idea however it would be difficult to code in a way so people don't cheat or it would be difficult to make it provably fair.

So there are some ideas out there and try those instead of plain old dice.

When its come question about new games, then another question is what is the extra benefit from other games. So for Dice game questions is same. When you will open new Dice game there should be some extraordinary & features which would attract more gamblers. Its depend on you how will you presents you dice to gamblers. There should be some reason why they should leave their existing Dice sites and enter on your site. It should implement by you and you should present how your are different from others.

I always say, "first impression is the last impressions". So you have to do something from beginning. Almost dice sites provide same things, on that case I am quite agree with yahoo62278. Your promotional strategy would attract new gamblers like different bonuses. That's the real way in my opinion to attract new gamblers.

I guess everyone knows the market is saturated,,, which is the whole reason of OP's question, to see what it is that would make players switch from dice. Since it would take a really great feature to make someone move away.

To answer OP, maybe I will state why I play at the dice sites I do. First of all, accept Bitcoin. Many dice sites have only alts 10 or 100 I do not care, Bitcoin first alts later. Second, provably fair. Third, not more than 1% house edge. Fourth, very diverse payout from tiny to very big. Fifth and this is important to me, ability to invest in bankroll. This is like me gambling offline;)

What would make me move can usually be all those above and even better. For example. Less than 1% house edge?

Any site that is launching should have very big advertising budget without it they will colapse
Of course, advertisement means a lot, coca-cola, walmart, facebook run advertisements despite the fact that whole population knows about them pretty well and yes, they spend a lot of money in it. For casinos it's necessary and beneficial because they have to offer promotions pretty often (Christmas promotion, Easter promotion, New Year promotion, World Cup promotions and etc, a lot). That advertisement pays back.

OP
Why not? If there is something better, why to stick with old one? I want to see better features than the ones which are in casino where I play, better cashback, better deposit bonus, better giveaways and etc means a lot. Personally I think it will be good if you offer random double wins (but that has to happen rarely, provably fair of course) or random refund of lost bet but it has to be mathematically beneficial for you in order to not lose on long term.

I'd be interested to play on a new website if it has promos, giveaways, welcome bonus, faucet or other similar things. But this is just something that would catch my interest, not maintain it. Then the website if course has to be provably fair and, if possible, already have a good reputation in terms of withdrawals. No KYC is also important to me. Finally, what most dice websites lack IMO is a good animation. A solid part of playing dice is shaking them in your hands, watching them land slowly. An online experience cannot replicate everything, but it should try to offer at least some of it.

Well, I saw only one reply said that you will probably move this topic to gamble board discussion and that was right. Probably it is appropriate on that board not here. This was already said by yahoo and he was right, promotions will give more attractions to the gamblers to visit the sites and probably will stay. Not only rake back, wager contest and cashback will good to start, also there is a big help you have signature campaign to explore your brand name all over here in the forum.

Right now, opening a gambling site and competing with others is kinda hard especially in the long run. How players will stay? If there's a new site, most are just trying, testing, and getting the bonus of a new site and going back on the site they originally playing.

Double the fun, if you can afford. You'll get more players earlier than expected if you double what others is offering right now, regarding promo, contests, etc and they will be hype on your site. Sustain that kind of promotion and players will be attracted and will stay. It's kinda expensive but it's more effective.

i probably will try a new website for a few days and if the website is good with many promos i will stay
the most important for me is how fast the bet on that website and don't forget the withdrawal fees should be lower too

I'd go and voted for yes, of course, new dice gambling sites have a feature of the free faucets where you can test your luck and also in that way you will attract into their site to deposit your fund. But I know that is new and very risky deposit a big amount probably I will try with a small amount that only I can afford to gamble on that day. Withdraw your fund as soon as possible.

Well, house edge is one of the most important parts of casinos and 1% became the sector average and there are many places with 1% or even some with more. If the house edge is lower that could make me consider it, sure you can't have 0% because that would be too risky for the casino but you could make something like 0.5% and still make a profit, I don't know how risky that would be.

On the other hand design and features are very very important, if it doesn't look simple and easy to use than I would probably not even bother with it, it should be simple to use and should look that simple as well, not just simple for people who build the website but simple enough for an idiot to use. If you could arrange those two things (house edge + design) all is left is marketing.

i will play it on a new dice if they have many promos like cashback/contest and right now i like playing at stake.com because they have many promos there
like 1k races every day and at the weekend there are 5k races

Would I play on brand new dice site?
Sure.
Would I stay on the site?
Probably not.

This site has to have a lot of features that current ones don't. Or offer a suitable alternative. People will be looking at house edge, promotions, rakeback etc. If a site lacks in one of those categories they have to make up in another. Such as freebitco which as a high house edge but good promotions. For a new dice site I would instantly switch if it has less than 0.5% house edge and some great promotions. But likely such things won't be sustainable for long and end up lowering promotions or hiking house edge higher.
So just be unique, copying other dice sites features is good and all yeah but if a loyal customer is already on that site why would they switch if you offer the same?

^ You have a good point there, brand new dice gambling platform should have a promotions or something contest that probably lure gamblers to visit the site. Faucet is one of the best marketing strategies that probably gamblers trigger to visit the gambling site and test their luck on a gambling platform. Nevertheless, usually good gamblers never leave the fund on the gambling sites if it is a new one and dont have yet build a good reputation.

We actually have an idea for a new game that combines traditional bitcoin dice with another classic casino game and think it would be a lot more entertaining with a lot of side prizes and social features.

It would take some time to finish development and we would need to have an invest feature like we did on btcdice.io before.

Will post updates as development gets near the end.

Thanks

Yes of coourse if this new dice is well develope but before I played I need to checked what is new about it and i want to know if its worth to play because there's a possibility its a freud. Also we need to be very careful of choosing gambling site just make sure you have enough knowledge about games you want to play to avoid loses.

No since there are already so many trusted dice site it would be hard for a new one to compete with them.
I think any new game that would be fun I played a crypto game back then a MOBA that is made of cryptosoul,
I enjoyed playing it and it is a fair game I think it would be a great game for gambling.

This topic should just get locked because I have no idea why MWesterie bumped this topic from Dec 2019. The OP last posted in Dec 18 2019 and he basically said it was a work in progress and he will reply when the project is due.

Topics from Dec 2019 are on the 8th page of the Gambling category and have no idea why he would randomly go to that page and start replying on posts. The issue with bumping these topics is that they become a hot topic with tons of people replying just to post their signature. However the issue is that its pointless replying to a topic such as this which clearly had a conclusion as stated by the OP on Dec 18 2019. So eventually there will be probably 5-10 different replies which will all be irrelevant.

It depends on the features ,design and community

What features would you like to see that have not been done already?

I couldn't think of anything new that could be added to a dice game.

What features would it need for you to switch from your current favourite dice site?
A daily,Weekly and monthly contest maybe, or create a dice game that is a PVP type they would bet against each other if the dice would be high or low.

I agree with you but I think the OP should do the locking of his thread. Or he already forgot his very own thread? Because when I go to his site, even creating new account is not working showing captcha is not valid but there is no captcha to be solved. So there is really no way you can get in if their registration is not working.

Honestly, I am both a good and a bad person to ask this question. I can definitely see myself playing on a different place than I usually do, I like testing out new places, but at the same time I do not like gambling on "new" websites.

So, what I do is, I try other websites but I first wait for that website to be used by other people for a while, after couple of months if the website is good enough and everyone enjoys it, I will give it a try, we had a lot of them on 2019 for example, between windice to mintdice to wolf.bet we have seen a lot "new" good websites, I tested them all out but not before they were probably 30+ pages strong on bitcointalk with a lot of people liking them. So, I can't really tell you what I want from a "new" website but as long as you are a decent one that doesn't scam people, I will eventually test you out.

coins. lots of different crypto coins to play from.

and also would like coin balance be separate from my dice balance

i hate having my whole balance out there when gambling.

i usually play till i'm up 10btc or at 0

I never had made it to 10btc
