Title: I don't see the transaction in my wallet but only in blockchain
Post by: bolepo on December 17, 2019, 10:59:36 PM
Hey I am using PAXFUL wallet and a buyer sent me a payment to my wallet address two times.
First time I got the payment and the money was confirmed but second time I can't see the incoming bitcoin in my PAXFUL wallet.

He sent me a proof here:
www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/d572622a3ef1e1b376edffedfa405048da35fcea173af986b07c96eb8c3fafa2
My wallet address is this: 3KTKcrVpkvR2X2brDuEsVQGRwUNuH28k5t

I can see he really made the payment and its already got 10 confirmations.
Am I right?
this is the payment?
but I don't see it in my PAXFUL. do you know what the reason can be?

The transaction was already confirmed and it should reflect on your paxful wallet balance. But if it's not yet reflecting, this is more of a concern for the paxful side and you should contact their email help@paxful.com and tell this problem right away. The buyer paid you.

maybe you should wait for a few more confirmations, bitcoin will usually enter the wallet after passing a few confirmations, but if you've received a lot of confirmations and bitcoin isn't in your wallet yet, maybe the problem is in PAXFUL, I'm not a PAXFUL user so I don't know the service.

Its finally appeared after 4-5 hours. What is going on with paxful I thought its a good website without this scary delays

That's good to hear. I believe this is your first time going through such a delay. I don't know how long you have been using Paxful wallet but if that happens the second time around or if this has already happened to you in the past, I think you should contact their support to inform them about it. They might be unaware of this. They cannot market convenience in their services if the payment is delayed for several hours. This is a point for improvement.

Actually, it happens sometimes on online wallets, their system needs to check and update balance after every transaction. That's why you will notice that outgoing transaction is done from an hot wallet and not from your PaxFul wallet address. But it's better to contact support to avoid long delays.

Well then that's nice. I also experience that inconvenience in some websites and for sure others too. This is probably a system glitch that delays to reflect the balance of the user's wallet upon receiving it. But this is the beauty of blockchain, as long as you can see that the transaction proceeded and it's confirmed, you have the proof to the support that they should credit the amount to your wallet. Since it's case closed, you can now peacefully close the thread.

It's not a paxful problem it might be a bitgo issue that causes a delay transaction even your transaction already confirmed.

Look at this source: https://paxful.com/support/en-us/articles/360013970134-Bitcoins-not-received

BitGo wallet might have scheduled maintenance at that time that is why your transaction is delayed.

It is the problem of the wallet in such situation check for wallet updates. It happened once with me I was able to see the transaction on the Blockchain but not in the wallet. It is better to contact the support , if you still cannot see the transaction inside your wallet.

Okay , if it's true whatever he is saying then you need to check if your wallet is updated and if it is then you need to wait for a while and then write to their customer service , because if it's not his fault , it is the fault of the company which is running this wallet then you should update and then simply wait .
Hopefully you will get it but it happens sometimes , happens in local bitcoins too , but it usually is shown after a while .
You just need to wait .

There is no such thing as a "good website" wallet. The only good wallet, is the one that you run yourself, not at somebody else's.

You should try a personal wallet, such as Electrum (https://electrum.org/). Its definitely paxful's fault for not showing it when its clearly in the blockchain. But maybe they have a policy of not showing funds after "n" confirmations.

OP got the funds already. It's just a few posts after your posts.

This.

It was last posted/updated yesterday so this might be the closest reason why OP got the delays.

Maybe this was just an isolated case and OP, unfortunately, got hit.

To OP, you can now consider locking this thread as the case was already solved.

there must be a delay, or if there is already confirmed it should be in you wallet, but sometimes this really happens, maybe you just need to close and open the wallet, and by the time you reopen it it will he there, or if still after few days and have not recieved it yet , better contact support of the wallet you are using but im sure its just a bit delayed, just wait

It is not paxfuls fault. It is the network that is currently experiencing delays. That happens to me a lot. Also maybe there is a certain amount of confirmation that needed to be done in the network before it reflects in your wallet. My wallet works like that, transactions need to have more than 6 confirmation before it reflects.

That usually happens when network miners has slow transaction due to fee, possible if there's an option that you can increase tx fee can help expedite the confirmation. On my personal experience with ethereum contract, I can make a successful and fast transactions by increasing gas fees. Delays randomly occurs and we can't prevent that to happen at any instances, but what's important is we have patience on the certain situations because eventually it will be fixed afterwards.

The best place to get an answer to this your problem is by contacting the paxful support to assist you. So far as it shows on the blockchain network that the transaction was made and its been confirmed indicates that the bitcoin was sent to that particular Bitcoin wallet address.

You don't have a Paxful wallet, you have a Paxful account. It is up to Paxful to credit your account after the transaction has been confirmed. You will need to ask Paxful about what their policy is.

if I see normally on any exchange where the deposit button is always written below it, for example you need 10 transaction confirmations, your funds will be displayed in your account, so you can see how much confirmation of your bitcoin transactions, for example less than 10 you need to wait for some time, but if you have passed 10 confirmations but you haven't found your funds in your account, you can visit support services there

There are always case just like with OP specially when there is a clog in the network. We always see it in blockchain but it is delayed to receive in wallets address. In fact, there are times that we received the transaction in a couple of days. That happened to me last bitcoin bull run 2017. I had received the btc that my friend sent 2 days after he confirmed he sent it.
Just in case that OP never received the coin then he need to reach out the support or customer service.

If there is a support team then you should go ahead and file ticket on this, the blockchain is so transparent that we on our end do our part as the sender and receiver, and they should also do their part to process the transaction and reflect it on their wallet in a right time. What if we needed the money out and because of the delays, our transactions will be compromised. With this, it will surely affect their reputation in the market if they will not do anything to fix this.

I had the same problem. We'll have to wait a little. the money is already in your wallet, the system needs another 30 minutes to do this
