Title: Will XRP repeat last 2017 bull run?
Post by: cheezcarls on December 18, 2019, 08:09:03 AM
Even though it has been a rough year for XRP, the asset was one of the top performers in 2017, during the last major bull run.

The question is then debated as to whether XRP could ever see this kind of performance again, with mixed opinions for and against.

I know this is kind of absurd, but anything is possible. Of course, we do all believe that XRP and other cryptocurrencies will have the right moment to repeat like what happened in the 2017 bull run.

However, in my own analysis, there might be less than 1% chance that it would happen again.

We all know that as altcoin holders, that we are after in making profits after holding them for quite a long while.

But I also know that when it comes for bull run discussions about XRP, there's gonna be a heated debate (but I think they're in favor more of the bearish run than the bull run as of this time for this coin).

Do you think XRP will repeat its bull run like in 2017 in the near future or not?

Whatever answer you are going to get will be nothing but predictions so make up your mind yourself before investing, xrp is a top altcoin and there is no reason to get worried about present price

There no new news about Ripple to make a push move to it's price. When the general bullish trend comes, Ripple too would increase so it might be a good time to buy ripple for increasing your portfolio. But it's not a great option for better profit as there are many other coins that are capable of increasing in value despite the market trend.

It's losing its hype and not much are using it but just for trading.

I am in doubt that it will happen again.
It was the pump from bitcoin that really brought altcoins into getting a higher value too.
But when that ended, so does the altcoin. Suddenly all became bloody red and it didn't stop even if bitcoin had already been stable.

I dont think it will.

We are far to it and although I dont hold it, I really dont think it will whether I have it.

Let us say that there is a chance but it is pretty low.

The 2017 Bullrun and XRP rally will not be repeated again. because i believe that 2017 bullrun is just a hype and no solid fundamentals to support it. as we see it today the market price of altcoins was falling faster than we expected that's because it has no solid gains since 2017. although that i'm an XRP supporter but still my opinion remains doubtful if XRP price will return to its former all time high record.

I quite not believe in Ripple, but i last bull run its make people surprise with super high ATH and marketcap. As i know, Ripple tech is mostly use by bank or big company, so i really wonder if Ripple tech can attract more people to invest. Last time, i think most of people just buying because of the price keep increase too fast. For now, i dont think people would be in the same mistake and with that reason, i think think there will be a bull run for Ripple like 2017.

It is really hard to predict, especially in this market. Reason for the last bull run is because most of investors did not have much knowledge about cryptocurrency and they did not want to miss the train while the price of all coins just kept increasing. Now they are more mature, I do not think they will repeat the same mistake as in 2017. However, who knows what will happen tomorrow in this space  ::)

It's hard to say that bullrun will not come again as 2017 is fueling because the market continues to fluctuate and is still a whale game that often manipulates prices, but we will see in the next few years and after halving occurs and we will wait several years later to see bullrun come.
Experts predict that 2021-2015 will be a definite moment for the cryptocurrency market.

Indeed, it is still unpredictable now, but I think it will be more possible if bitcoin is pump too , I mean when bitcoin rise like ATH it will be more possible for the rest of the altcoin that they will all pump because I believe that price of bitcoin affects the price of its altcoin too. There is no big news for XRP now so I think it will take more time.

If there is a bullish trend on the bitcoin price after havling of bitcoin in 2020,for sure it will raise the price of XRP as well because it has got huge whales as investors. But after the next few years it may lose the value from the current status once whales made all their profits and will hold on another new coin with the hype.

Firstly, I honestly don't know when the article writers and the crypto news site of these days will provide us genuine information about the market stated because nothing too serious happens to XRP in terms of  bullrun during the year 2017. Besides, the last ATH claimed by XRP was just $3.40 and there other altcoin in the market which investors would earn at least $100 per coin when it bull run market.

It will not and never, more than 60% of pre-mined coin ist about to be dumped to the market. the last bullrun of XRP caused by the new investors are blindly investing in the coin without knowing more about the risk and volatility in the crypto. ripple will never touch its ATH again consider the total of pre-mined coin is more than enough to make ripple becomes zero value coin.

I think that most altcoins will do similar bullrun as in last year. No matter what kind of shitcoin it is. Some people seem to think that we are wiser now, but i remember same exact thinking from lomg time ago when everything was tanking. New blood will come in and they repeat every mistake we did.

The answer to your question is no one knows when altcoins will surge again, ripple is a good altcoin for long term hold so you will be fine for a long time, new money will flow into crypto and holders will make huge gains

People should be aware that the next ROI multipliers in crypto won't be the same as in late 2017 beginning of the 2018.
Ripple at that time was like 2 cents man, it won't be the same again & this i for all the crypto out there.
Some people at the last huge Bull Run made some 50x multipliers with Ripple... & other coin made even 100x.

So you get the idea.

When we talk about bull run i think it is more appropriate to talk about it with reference to overall market as the market cycle has historically seen massive up and down cycles and im very sure that we are almost at the end of of down cycle and soon the bull cycle is going to start with massive upside potential for all the good coins so definitely it is just the matter of time.

No one can say the actual price of the particular coin the only thing we can do only predict the price or else we have to rely on the current price. But my own prediction is it maybe increase 0.1%.

There is no news strong enough to make XRP repeat the 2017 price. And I think it is very difficult for XRP to go up to $ 1 in the next 1-2 years, you should remember that XRP has an unlimited supply so it is difficult for the price to go up.

I think it's quite difficult for XRP to be able to go up like 2017. Because when yesterday in the middle of the year Bitcoin pumped the price of XRP to remain under $ 1. although xrp is included in the top 3 cmc coins i think this cannot guarantee xrp prices can soar like 2017. maybe xrp still has a chance to experience an increase when bitcoin is pumping but i think the increase will not be high.

History will repeat again but for XRP I don't think so. We don't the time is but we must see real condition right now, optimist is fine but should support by analyze in technical & fundamental. XRP developer keep running every program that can be use to increase the rank but situation is not helping. Bitcoin as mother of coin still in down trend like or not negative impact will go direct into XRP also. This time survive is realistic option, no need to pump price but how to get stable price and volume is better.

if the price of a bitcoin pump, I think xrp will follow because xrp has more dominance when the bitcoin market moves pump. so now I can only rely on the price of bitcoin first, before I can see the price of the altcoin pump and make a profit

Anything is possible but there's also next to impossible because the only reason why XRP reached its all-time high is because of the bull run of Bitcoin. People should realize that no matter what happens to altcoins, they still depend on the price of Bitcoin. If Bitcoin is were to reduced in price, it's likely that all altcoins will follow.

indeed the narrative is like that, so we have to wait for bitcoin to surge and then hope to be followed by other altcoins. and I think this will apply also to xrp, especially xrp has a high level of trust by being in the top rankings on coinmarketcap. I think the possibility to exceed the peak in 2017 is very open

I heard the previous big bull run was manipulated by big exchanges that people cannot place an order under the certain amount of price, so price pump really hard without any correction which is really strange for a coin's chart. So i think it's almost impossible to repeat the history

why not possible? Have you never seen this year there are still many coins that go up to 10x, even though the coins or tokens don't have strong fundamentals like XRP, so the conclusion is there is still Hope!

It can be possible if there are pumps that happen in the market, and that can give a chance for ripple to increase higher. If the bull market comes, there will be many pumps that occur for many coins because each coin will have their support to push the price, but it is hard to see the price will stay at a higher price for a long time. The price itself will go back to the lower price after reach the high price, so that will be the best time to sell ripple and the other coins at a high price.

On the face of it, it looks like a real long-shot for XRP to hit those heights again. But it is certainly a coin with big potential, and XRP does have a history of sharp upwards price movements, so I wouldn't rule it out. As for when it might happen, it doesn't look like any time soon. We'd need a huge amount of confidence in the market for that sort of behaviour.

XRP potential from 2017 to 2018 is very good, from the price of $ 0.2 to the price of $ 3 really makes many investors happy. at the moment, the price of XRP is $ 0.18, although it has potential, but it seems that the price of XRP does not have the high potential as in early 2018. But, it is worth waiting, but I am holding other coins compared to XRP like ETH, BCH, BNB, TRX, EOS, and others.

Xrp had a dump and pump these days but I think that's just a correction period for it. If there will be another increase due to bull run, I'm sure that other coins especially Bitcoin would also rise. However, I think we are still far from that but things will surely get better soon. There are upcoming events that will affect the prices of crypto in 2020 so let's hope for the best.

People need to readjust their expectations to a point where they have to admit that it isn't likely that they will break even on XRP any time soon. Most people I have seen are in denial, and they have been that for over a year.

Will XRP have a pump eventually? I'm sure it will have, but without the institutions entering and actually using XRP (which is what people have been waiting for so long) I doubt it will go past its current $3.5 all time high. It isn't realistic.

If there is bull run Bitcoin will be the first one to gain a massive increase of price then the rest of altcoins will follow. Year 2020 will be a normal year I guess even if there is a halving coming up in May but it doesn't mean there will be a massive increase after that. I expected it already that the halving effect will boost in the year 2021.

The most anticipated thing in the alt coin market is that we have no idea whether the alt coin market will rally ever again and if that happens then we will see the repeat of the 2017 bull run in all the alt coins and not just in XRP alone but in all the alt coins in the market that are pretty decent. I am not sure yet whether we will have a bull run in the alt coin market yet but i am expect that after the bitcoin rally like in the past.

There is no doubt that XRP might repeat what it did in 2017 but I don't think it will last longer since they are centralized and they can control the demand and supply I'm order to manipulate the price. Even during the peak they just dumped it after pumping it by multiple folds I was one of the investor into XRP due to FOMO. I am sure they can repeat it again and once users see the price of XRP increasing they will invest again.

I personally think that it depends on altseason itself. If altseason happen again in the future, XRP can repeat last 2017 bull run
and the others coin (good coin) can hit anothers ATH too. so, not only for XRP

but once again, it depends on altseason. without altseason I think almost impossible
bcz most of altcoin moves simultanously, not severally

Everything can be of possible but of course, it is in perfect time. We have experienced a bullish market last 2017, all coins are flying but what we've got now is a big opposite to it. But somehow it never discloses to any chances for XRP to move higher. However, we can't expect that it can be like of 2017 price anymore even there is a bull run to comes, surely it could be of big difference.

All Altcoins will definitely need a Bitcoin bull run to start growing.
However, XRP is not the same Altcoin as all others. XRP is a centralized coin and at any time there is a danger that developers will create, for example, twice as many coins. In this situation, the price will automatically fall by half. Even if the price of XRP begins to rise, such a danger will always be with this investment.

Yes, there is no guess in this market because if we see altseason then definitely most of the active developers will surely increase their prices. XRP is the most active development coin and higher chances to increase it's the price if we see altseason again and this time it might be new ATH.

Well not only xrp but other popular altcoins will increase too once the bull run started. But when it will happen? We cant predict it, some says next year but there's no assurance about that. Every prediction has no concrete basis to believe in it.

So lets see and wait until the time comes for the coins to recover and possible reach its ath again.

I think that's the obvious thing. when the XRP price returns to touch its ATH price the same as in 2017, which will also apply to other altcoins. actually, I am quite doubtful if the price of XRP can touch the price of ATH again, because as far as I know, there are already quite a lot of people losing confidence in XRP, moreover this year the price of XRP has not developed. but, I still hope that that can happen.

Do you think XRP will repeat its bull run like in 2017 in the near future or not?

when talking about cryptocurrency in 2017 not only XRP, almost all coins have increased.
Yeah, I'm not sure. like experience that has already happened, XRP like hype and then dropped dramatically. I feel unlucky if trading XRP. because XRP only relies on FOMO. and like other coins that only increase once a year,  then when it has gone down it will make a long flat if you see the chart. I don't know when will recover again if hold it.

Perfect timing and conditions are key to this but exactly as you say, the past has had periods of high rise but it cannot become a sign of the future because times have changed, markets have changed, we have been unable to see such pumps in recent years. And do not forget that this is a competitive market, innovation is constantly happening, XRP can exist until this moment, it has been a proud thing, expect prices as in the past, the chances are too low when other altcoins have seized all of these opportunities.

then why need to ask this when it is an insult of having 1% chance to make it again?but one thing i am sure here, you have no XRP holding thats why you can just say this kind of statements?

Do you think XRP will repeat its bull run like in 2017 in the near future or not?
when Bitcoin get the Bullrun next year i am very certain that XRP will make another Bull also, like ethereum and other truthful currencies.

For me it's not that possible for now while we're still not seeing good market bounce for btc price. That's only possible once there's an influence of bitcoin, eversince the market begun to have more fluctuating trend all following coins like xrp and also carried out by its increasing value.

It is possible that only an increase in the Bitcoin price would be enough for the bull run to start on the entire cryptocurrency market, but in my opinion more things must happen. First of all, the market needs to be better regulated to protect investors. XRP is regulated by banks, so it can be very attractive to investors and seem safe. When the bull run comes, I think many speculators will focus on XRP.

I guess it really depend on the season of altcoin if its going up or down and we all know that even though Bitcoin is in downtrend then Ripple will go up and this happens before but for now its just going uo and down just like a normal value of an altcoin.

And XRP would go rise its value maybe by next year and depend on the new update on their roadmap and new announcement.

I think that's the obvious thing. when the XRP price returns to touch its ATH price the same as in 2017, which will also apply to other altcoins. actually, I am quite doubtful if the price of XRP can touch the price of ATH again, because as far as I know, there are already quite a lot of people losing confidence in XRP, moreover this year the price of XRP has not developed. but, I still hope that that can happen.
At this point, if you want all altcoins to grow like ATH in 2017, all altcoins will have to increase from 15-100 times. This is very unlikely because altcoin prices have fallen so deep, if bull run starts, I think only BTC will rise. And other altcoins will not have too much volatility

I have a feeling that most altcoins will grow due to the bullishness of bitcoin. Bitcoin is like their father in which they all have to follow that's why if bitcoin starts to grow when there is a bull run then expect already a massive movement in the market not just in bitcoin but also in altcoins.

Honestly, I don't see anything special about this coin than it TPS (scalability) and the centralized state of it which was the reason why some private company partnership with the Ripple company precise that the coin have no benefit to the crypto community and it investors barely profit from the system.

XRP had experienced a pretty good increase when the others were still in a difficult period, but unfortunately the moment could not be maintained and even continued to fall. and I also believe that it will be difficult again for XRP to return to rise even though it is possible, but maybe the time he could never be obtained for the following year.

bull run will occur when all crypto market conditions are in All Time High, xrp may experience a bull run but will not be as high as in 2017 if bitcoin is still stuck at the current price. although in doubt, I also hope that it will happen as soon as possible because I am an xrp fan and currently holding xrp too  :D
Bull trend of xrp is different from other altcoins. Though it is considered an altcoin the growth pattern and the process involved in creating circulation in the market is quite different. This means bitcoin can be manipulated, but xrp can be.made to pump when required. This way if it requires a repeat of 2017 its in the hands of the team.

the condition of XRP price movements indeed provides more manipulation of prices at the exchange place there must be someone who has a lot of trading capital or at least the founder of XRP that makes the price go up because it will be difficult if traders make their own price increases.

It could still happen. XRP or Ripple has a lot of community members. I think it grown 10,000%. XRP holders could just wait out the selling of the big whales (distribution) to be over and then a new bull run may happen.

Not sure yet! Currently, most of the traders all know what makes the price of Altcoin rise. If the next pump time to an all-time high of Bitcoin may happen, I think it will be different.

XRP really needs stabilization to meet its original purpose - creating connectivity with global banks and payment at the lowest cost. That means Ripple should be only used for paying the money transfer costs in its system instead of investing in it for profit.

lol 10k percent ? that is a lot  . btc didnt even reach that much  . dont be exage and dont worry because we all know how popular the coin was . the coin can increase but not to the point that it will go in a bull run because xrp is still facing some issues and havent been solved yet .

. XRP holders could just wait out the selling of the big whales (distribution) to be over and then a new bull run may happen.
if whale sells the market will dump " not pump "  . pump can only happen once this whales do the opposite move which is to buy   . 2 years have past but the 2017 hype didnt repeat yet on other coins that are much better than xrp , so how much more on xrp  ?

The team claims that the RippleNet payments network is growing every year but i cannot see who the specific clients are right now and they recently raised $200 million with the help of an asset investment firm and some things are undergoing behind the back, i am not a Ripple fan and hence not following their growth, not expected any rapid changes in the price but lets see how their network will perform in the long run.

Bitcoin price increases will usually encourage the increase of several other altcoins such as eth, ltc and xrp, so the possibility of xrp experiencing bull is very dependent later on bitcoin prices in the future, so when halving day happens, of course bitcoin prices will experience price increases, and most likely xrp will also experience the same thing.
So, we just wait later on 2020 bitcoin and XRP will experience an increase or decrease in prices when halvingday takes place.

The possibility is not as thin as what others may have. XRP is a decentralized coin and this gives a hindrance to make it high just like when the bullish ride. It somehow we also think that XRP is still depending on the Bitcoin race, if Bitcoin price will soar high it pretty sure XRP will also jump high.

The Visa is not a crypto-friendly payment gateway and the strong partnerships between Ripple and Moneygram will make the project more heather. The TPS is also high on Digibyte but the popularity of DGB is not as high as the XRP. The price speculations don't add anything valuable to the development of XRP but the traders rush to make as much as money like in the last bull market in 2017.

If the banks decide on the pump, it will probably be so, but for sure, finally, investors will lose on it.

XRP is not going to repeat its pump like it did on the last years, why? because it is getting manipulated and handled by some organizations that is taking their investors money.

the answer is actually simple because XRP has not had any development to date. I noticed the XRP price from the beginning of 2019 did not have any increase, even when the price of bitcoin was very high this year, the price of XRP was not so affected. I thought people might have lost their trust, but I thought so without any basis of information.
Well, if the price of XRP can reach a high price again, it might be after halving, but I'm not sure the price of XRP can be as high as 2017 again.

XRP has one of the strongest use cases in all of crypto, and it is one of our best chances to break into mainstream adoption. Yes there are plenty of people who don't like it because there is a company behind it, and it may not be true to the cypherpunk ethos, but still it offers a fast, cheap and secure alternative to existing international banking processes - and anything that offers an improvement in efficiency is usually adopted. Then it's not a stretch to see consumer adoption after the banks have come in. I do think there's a solid chance that XRP can hit a new ATH at some point.

And you cannot under estimate the Xrp since we all know that he's at the top 3 and got the highest potential among all the alts exist.

I'm pretty sure that XRP will repeat 2017 bull run, but this is not a invest advice. In 2017, XRP price only bull run in short period of time and in that time when 99% other coins going down in a small downtrend. So holding XRP and holders must not tough those coin in 'Altcoin season' because XRP will make it own 'XRP season'.  ;D

XRP perform pretty bad tho
same like other alts

Well it is really hard to know if XRP will have a bull run like the last one as the last one has some of the "wow" fundamental work in it
Moneygram, banks, WU
Now all these doesn't matter for most people

If people don't accumulate XRP while its supply become more and more
It will cause the price to go lower instead of moving upwards

I am concerned about the future of XRP as well as the XRP holder, its price is very difficult to recover because there are not too many investors interested in it right now, and there is always a large amount of XRP sold every month and every quarter, so raising prices is almost impossible

The chances always open to any big supported alts to follow bitcoin once it start to pumped high, the bull will lift XRP and other top coins from CMC
when bitcoin value established a good barrier, diversions can be expected for traders who gains good amount of btc to start targetting known alts
that also have good communities behind.

I think it's very possible that the XRP repeat last 2017 bull run, because seeing the potential of XRP is very good. Moreover, XRP is supported
many large banks, this makes XRP fundamentals very strong. Therefore, the possibility of XRP prices to rise is very large. If seeing 2020 there
are a lot of big things that will happen in the crypto world, so that it can make XRP prices go up. One of the big things that will happen in 2020
is halving bitcoin. Because halving bitcoin can make the price of bitcoin go up, if the price of bitcoin goes up, automatically the price of altcoins
will also go up including XRP.

In the near future? No, I don't think Ripple can get that incredible higher price again. In long term, if Bitcoin hit 50K USD , then Ripple can hit 5 USD. I bought XRP at 3.65 USD and lost all of my capital, I don't think Ripple has that popularity like 2017, though it backed by big projects, partners but yet price will not be increased very soon.

You must be disappointed when its price plunged down. Not everyone can stand with the XRP market, its price doesn't really swing much but the holders are keeping it which maintains its marketcap.

I still believe the price of it will grow up but only if they can find a better way for the coin to be useful, more than the moneygram promise and more than the fast and cheap transaction cost.

RBF if XRP can hit 5$ one day in the future then investing now would be a great thing, at 0.19$. But will it happen? Is
XRP capable for that? I don't have an answer, but I do have some XRP coins that I hold for more then I year. I bought at 1$!
I already wrote about that, slowly I lose confidence in XRP.
Cabron if XRP team is capable for proving they are more useful, faster and more secured then other payment services then
they have a chance for success, but for now they didn't prove anything.

Because on 2017 bullrun people are too hype to buy bitcoin and altcoin thats a reason most altcoin make it all time high, but look at ripple (xrp) right now the price are continue to falling down because people are now learn there lesson not to make a single move so its hard to tell if ripple will repeat its all time last 2017 bull run.
when the bull and the decline thereafter and until now there has been an improvement does not already prove to us that all crypto assets will continue to move. although now the decline does not mean it will continue to happen. if there will be bulls in the future, of course, XRP will follow the pump.
XRP has a better future for sure. Though it was controlled by someone but ain't no doubt that it makes another step ahead over the others. But it definitely we can't see back its price the same it happens last 2017 bull run. Cause for me, I'm not expecting it by then, but the most important is that we are able to see XRP still have a good market volume.

The increase in price should not be reliant in trading only. The XRP team should find more useful applications in the market. More apps, means more demand for the coin. And that will eventually, create a better price in the market. Continuous sourcing of its applications is much better approach rather than wait for the traders on the exchange.

If we will have the same % of money coming on crypto reported to how many coins will be when bull run will start then yes we can have a good price for a lot of crypto coins but as other users say xrp need some good development to make price grow and stay up for long time, not just waiting for bull run to grow.

The team has billion dollars of money and why do they need to find an application from outside of its companies? they have a lot of resources and that doesn't make sense at all. So far ripple has no apps for its coin and that will never happen as ripple just focus on the order that has already been made by the institutional investors and forget its crypto investors.

if a bull run occurs for crypto, I think the price of XRP will go up high, it's just that I'm not sure the price will reach its ATH price. other than that, the thing that I believe is, the price of XRP will not soar for now. I believe this is based on an analysis from the cointelegraph (https://cointelegraph.com/news/price-analysis-dec-27-btc-eth-xrp-bch-ltc-eos-bnb-bsv-xtz-xlm), and I quite believe their predictions.

There is no reason to believe that the 2017 bull run will be the last. In fact, if the 2017 bull was considered huge and unbelievable enough, the potential is much much bigger. The rest of the 95% of the world's population have yet to join the crypto community. When they do, XRP will be one of the leading altcoins to benefit from it.

For me in my view its now maintining the resistance and had no intention to regain all the losses..  Because market still stagnant wherein probably for them not the right time since more projects fail to climb up despite of the circumstances..maybe soon in my opinion because i know behind of this Project (XRP)  are good team wherein very professional unlike other top coins out there.  So its not necessarily to become skeptical in it.  There's a right time.

so you are bitter because of losses?thats why you have seen the XRp wont go any further this soon?but for me that is not a good idea because you failed in your  investment when you Sold that Ripple but if you just keep the holding for sure there are still chance that you made a profit though may take long time of waiting.
bitcoin don't need to reach $50k before riffle goes another Jump but this Halving will surely bring even not that $5 but still profit.

Even though it has been a rough year for XRP, the asset was one of the top performers in 2017, during the last major bull run.

The question is then debated as to whether XRP could ever see this kind of performance again, with mixed opinions for and against.

Click here to read the full news (https://beincrypto.com/xrp-was-among-the-best-of-2017-bull-run-can-it-do-it-again/?utm_campaign=amba&utm_medium=social&utm_source=bitcointalk&utm_content=jc)

XRP is not going to repeat that performance anytime soon, but as the third most popular coin in the market it is possible we could see XRP recovering during the next years but even if it reaches its all time high against fiat I doubt we are going to see the same happening to the all time high it reached against bitcoin.

To me that will be really unreachable as the faith that people had in altcoins has been lost and no one believes anymore that an altcoin will ever surpass bitcoin.

I think so even people prefer other altcoins that have more progress/development in the long term like TRX or maybe BNB. CEOs and teams are very influential in the eyes of investors today. Moreover, seeing XRP's volume is relatively low.

we never know what will happen in the future. for the time being XRP does not have a large enough trade to get them to the top. many will choose BNB over XRP. but in the future when developers make updates. maybe just what is now small can become big.

to return to $1 XRP seems still very difficult, it requires more demand, in my opinion maybe the problem is the total supply XRP, that is too much to make this coin difficult to increase

Total supply is one problem, but also regular sell outs by Ripple. They are freaking printing money so no matter how big of a cap you have, it's still increasing and adoption isn't keeping this pace.

the situation can be repeated when there will be many people who use crypto and can increase demand in the market. such a situation that we rarely see now. when people get a reason to use crypto again and of course they will buy and own crypto, so from that XRP and other crypto will of course increase.

I'm pretty sure that XRP will repeat 2017 bull run, but this is not a invest advice. In 2017, XRP price only bull run in short period of time and in that time when 99% other coins going down in a small downtrend. So holding XRP and holders must not tough those coin in 'Altcoin season' because XRP will make it own 'XRP season'.  ;D
In 2017, all altcoins went up together with BTC, XRP was one of the fastest growing altcoins but until now it has also become the fastest collapsed altcoin. I am concerned about the future of XRP as well as the XRP holder, its price is very difficult to recover because there are not too many investors interested in it right now, and there is always a large amount of XRP sold every month and every quarter, so raising prices is almost impossible

Youre right when you said people are now learning their lesson because most new crypto investors believed XRP will thrice than others altcoin due to it been recognized by the governments and the partnership deal it had with reputable companies but they ignore the fact that centralized coin will always be puppet coin the board in the system.

No doubt Ripple is a gem in crypto and they have such big partners! Even a few days ago they got a huge fund from a partner again! But Ripple can't go alone, I believe all these coins are dependent on Bitcoin! So, if Bitcoin price sees a bull run like 2017, then why not for Ripple? I hope Ripple will hit 5$ this time!

Price seem stuck to $0.19 for a very long time. I suspect this will be dumped later. Almost all coins on top are rising up but XRP isn't. I guess the holders will have to wait for BTC to reach more than $10K for us to see it going up to $0.30.

One of the important gems around. Not all but most investors and traders are holding XRP until now.
Ain't surprise anyone that XRP will no longer be like of what it shows last 2017 cause we are not in the bullish at this time.

Let's see how halving will change the entire crypto market and most especially for XRP.

I don't believe it. I just expect when the bullrun will come and the foundation just let the price of XRP to growth but after it reached the peak price and they will be dumping their coins again.
This story is just a classic story which has already happened so many times.
The pressure that comes from the foundation is real.

It's possible to witness another bull run for XRP if BTC will have a new bull run also.
Even in the past, when BTC hit $1,000 and it was down for years, we never thought it will break its ATH again, but it did happen and we were surprise that not only BTC is pumping but altcoins as well and it was XPR which was one of the most profitable coins in year 2017.

There's a big chance it will happen again but we need to be patient to wait for the right time.

for the time being, we certainly haven't seen it. but try to see or plan for an updated plan that they will do in the future. it is an absolute attempt to regain market confidence and begin to increase demand. but we need a better market situation before XRP can fix the price.

Agree with you, if want XRP to break ATH 2017, BTC must first go up and pass 20k USD. Because this whole market is dependent on BTC and if BTC keeps going down like it is now, I doubt that XRP and all altcoins in this market will never repeat ATH again.

Debatable analogy but the market has proved this correlation many times. It doesn't mean the market will do it again for the next bull market. The new ATH price with higher BTC dominance can be a headshot for the altcoins as well as for XRP. The BTC can soar to $20k without altcoins.
In short it doesnt really correlate from time to time yet btc can really stand on his own without relying or seeing those alts together.

The question is then debated as to whether XRP could ever see this kind of performance again, with mixed opinions for and against.

It will definitely going to take time for us to come to the terms if litecoin is going to make any significant difference from what we see in 2019. Bitcoin may not get to $4 again as it value and use keep decreasing daily.

well if bitcoin once again has a mad bull run again this halving and make tons of money to the people then they might start throwing it into random cryptos such as xrp again. Everything depends on bitcoin really, if bitcoin is pumping then the alts are most probably pumping too. The secret is timing the market correctly to make as much profits as possible.

Why would anyone use XRP for money laundering? It's literally one of the most regulated coins imo.

But anyway, yes 2017 is something out of the ordinary and probably won't replicate itself again. The hype was unparalleled back then and is still unparalleled now, with any forthcoming bull market likely to not be anywhere near the same magnitude as that one.

That's not to say that XRP itself can't do well. And it has a good chance too, because institutional investors like to invest in coins that are not necessarily the most decentralized.

Bitcoin will go up and pass $20k, and I am sure about that. But for XRP, I am not sure if the price can repeat the same highest price again unless if there is a big pump for XRP. If that happens, XRP price will have an easy way to increase the price so the price will be back to the higher price. But the problem is, we don't know if the price will stay at that price because we know that in the crypto, everything can be possible.

in my opinion the price of xrp will increase by half, from ath and the possibility of price increase in xrp at the time after bitcoin halving, and also xrp supported by this good news makes investors will be interested in buying xrp so most likely xrp will go up like in 2017 in 2020 later

TradingView : Are you ready for another super idea regarding the future of $XRP #Ripple. Prepare your brain: +20 000% and $120 a coin.

Bitcoin Macro : We are trading against people who think XRP will hit $120 per coin in the next 4-12 months. if your IQ is above room temperature, how are you not making money in this market?

I can't say this better, nobody can! I decided to share this with you, Bitcoin Macro is a guy who should be followed, after many years he turned out to be one great mind! You can follow him too.

If the question being asked is whether XRP will get to approximately $3.60 again - very hard for anybody to start giving prices but it is inevitable a bull-run will happen. My guess is it will happen in 2020 or 2021.

Well hopefully this is the year that crypto price will rise. As to Xrp I assume it will increase it's price but we cannot tell this time if the bull run happen before will repeat again. As to this date I still have some xrp which I hold and I will sell once I observe the price increase will occur.

Why so many people are feeling if the price of ripple will increase while all of the fundamental of ripple is contradicting with what already said by you even those people are still believing on this garbage coin. you are a ripple holders and did you even watched the latest news about ripple regularly? if you did and it looks like you must think for a twice to hold ripple for long term.

Everyone is very positive about the XRP because we have seen the market situation of XRP which has secured 3rd position in the market. When the market starts recovering there is a huge chance for the XRP to increase its price like previous bull run.

It cannot be denied, after all the issues and problems XRP still remains 3rd largest crypto by virtue of market capital and that means a lot when it comes to investors seeking places to invest. The low price should also be very attractive to investors.

It's because XRP is greatly maintained and many big companies as their partner made XRP is stable on the top of the marketcap.
So i think XRP is the most healthy investment right now since it's decentralized and almost impossible for whales to dump this coin.

in its use xrp does have good cooperation with several companies, and if investing in xrp will be good. but you need to do research first because it is very necessary before starting the investment and an important part is also to determine the lowest possible price and highest price.

Now we are in 2020 where many experts predict the price of all crycptocurrency can go up high, then XRP will also experience price
increases. But rising prices repeat like in 2017 it feels a bit heavy and impossible for XRP. Because already two years the market has
experienced a very long bearish to date. That caused the price of almost all altcoins to decrease the price is very deep, so for prices
to return like 2017 it still takes time. And will not be achieved in the near future.

actually, if the price of bitcoin goes up, then most of the altcoins also go up including XRP. to be honest, to date XRP has been a bit of a disappointment, especially when in 2019 there was no significant increase, even when bitcoin prices rose, and almost all altcoins recovered. thinking about that, I don't think the next bull run will make the XRP price reach its ATH point. even that's good enough when the price approaches $ 1.

This year will be interesting to watch the price challenges in the crypto market and I have no doubt the market will recover in the 3-6 months. I predict the next quarter will be bullish due to the exciting news and the new projects. Halving will accelerate the bullish market and the rest will be done by bulls as always.

hey bro , believe or not , on 2017 when that happen, i have a research about it. because its totally strange . the coin almost going to 4 bucks each.
so what i got is , too many money loundring using crypto , and ripple is the most used for it, south korean is the most people who using crypto for money loundring on that time, i quite remember about it.
* i forget about what news i read.
the situation can be repeated when there will be many people who use crypto and can increase demand in the market. such a situation that we rarely see now. when people get a reason to use crypto again and of course they will buy and own crypto, so from that XRP and other crypto will of course increase.
You seem to be forgetting that events never happen in the exact same way, XRP had a great year during 2017 and its growth was impressive but since then XRP has only registered losses and it has loss almost 95% of its value.

You read that right, XRP has lost almost 95% of its value, what kind of investor is going to look at that data and be motivated to invest in it, he will ask himself if the coin has any chance of recovering after such crash and while I believe XRP will at some point in the future recover you will make more money holding your bitcoin so there is not any point to invest in XRP.

XRP is a solid coin with a very good use-case. I'm confident that people will use XRP rather than just Ripple the company. And I do think we will see a new ATH for XRP, but 2020 is maybe too soon. I know that things can move quickly, particularly with this coin, but looking at where the price is now and what market confidence is like, I think it would take a lengthy sustained altcoin bull run before we can think about XRP passing even the $1 mark.

It could happen anytime soon, bitcoin is the only driving factor to cause a bull run for altcoins.
The last bull run of altcoins does not need a years to happen, IIRC, it only needed a quarter or less to start a bull run, and since it has happened in the past, that means it's not impossible it will happen again, like I said, let's wait for BTC to pump.

What's use case that already offered by XRP? It's even a security coin that doesn't give a dividend to the holders and there is no financial report about how the performance of the ripple company since the ripple blockchain has existed.

The pressure that always giving by the ripple company is always continue and it will never end until all of the pre-mined coins will be dumped by the foundation and Jed.

This year will be the decider if most of the cryptocurrencies will go back to the same status as they were during 2017 bull run. We will eventually see if they are opening an entry for everybody before it goes back to that high price that they have before. XRP is top 3 and despite of being stagnant, there's a chance for every cryptocurrency to get back to the bull run price. But not everyone of them will be the same as before, there will be a top choice for most investors and it could XRP will still be one of it.

Welcome to the world of centralized crypto and majority of the their clients are banks, i am not expecting an all time high valuation in the near future, it had its rally in the past and there is nothing new to attract the investors and that is my take on XRP and all the fans regarding when the coin will see another rally. Consider the total coins in supply about 99,991,136,657 coins just image the total market cap if it reaches $1 and you make an analysis whether it is a realistic possibility :P.

Indeed there are so many big concerns this is centralized ecosystem and the team has only way to generate to keep dumping the premine tokens on the bag holders. The big question why central bank will use this system for the official use. This is only hype rather than the reality.

Someone says that XRP is not a real cryptocurrency because it is a centralize coins not just commonly happen in crypto, there is always called" Decentralized". If there is a sudden dump and even this is not accurate to bitcoin price growth, it may consider as a hype coins because it can be manipulated. Probably, the government and the bank are the best investors if this is really happening.

I am not interested in XRP because this coin has very little profit for investors and until now the value of this coin has only decreased. I have watched a lot of changes in this coin over the past 2 years and am very disappointed because everything is not as investors' wishes. However, this is still a top 10 CMC coin and you have the right to consider if this is an option you think is good.

Currently, I only invest in coins like Ethereum, Litecoin or Neo because these are the 3 more worthy options in making a profit.

Yes, all of us have seen how far the owners of each coin made the price of their coins soar several years ago. But for now I think it is already difficult to do. I think for now to reach the price of $ 1 is already very difficult.Unless there is indeed a remarkable breakthrough that was successfully made by the XRP developer

You're doing great with series of coin selections, hopefully you'll able to add up more like xrp. Even though it seemed to be non gaining nowadays, and dumping since November until present new year it doesn't mean we're not taking the best chance. Buying this as your asset will provide us new hope for possible bullrun. I don't say it's going to be this year, but it's good to have an advanced preparation for our holdings.

I will be very happy if XRP hit $5 during the next bull run but where it would end up after the inevitable post bull run sell off would concern me as it takes XRP far longer to recover than other crypto.

As far as buying and selling is concerned, buying now at low prices and selling at say $5 would be great as far as profit was concerned without caring about the direction XRP and Ripple was taking.

If ripple repeats the performance that it had in 2017 then without a doubt is going to be a good investment but I'm not so sure that is going to happen, ripple has been given losses for a long time and during the recent recovery ripple is not performing that well either, in fact if you compare the performance of ripple against the other top 10 altcoins and you exclude tether because of its stable coin nature you will notice that ripple is the coin that has performed the worst.
