Post by: charlie137 on December 20, 2019, 05:37:49 AM
Some time ago this guy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=860708 started talking shit to me on twitter when somebody pointed him to the project i was working on - I glanced on his work and replied with some critics as well. For some time it was fun watching him dodging questions and replying in ad pushing style and shit https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196899.msg53219317#msg53219317 but then he started posting negatives on my profile. I am using the forum for a quet some time, but can not say that im as same jedi as other members, but really curious how to deal with such situation) don't want to create more unnecessary flags/threads/etc

its my first post on this board, please correct me if anyth  ::)

You dealt with it in the right way (leaving this kind of post in this section); some would say that you shouldn't leave "retaliatory feedback", but the truth is "trust feedback isn't moderated", so it has to moderate itself.

I got one from him too:

Quote
You should learn to worry about yourself and stop cyberbullying others online.

which I just ignored.

If you look at my trust feedback page, or pretty much anybody who's been around for any substantial period of time, you'll notice that they probably have some b.s. negative feedbacks. His feedback is not part of Default Trust, so it won't show up as Trusted Feedback. He also didn't leave a reference. In short, nothing to worry about.

I have opposed his flag (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1199063;page=iflags) on your account.

@kingcarsen has a lot of negative feedback and I don't think he will be a DT member. Even if that happens, it won't last much time.
Therefore, ignoring his feedback is the best solution, and since he has a lot of negative trusts, no one will believe any evaluation he sends.

You should have thick skin in terms of trust ratings.
