Title: Account farmers at work
Post by: Byakuga on December 21, 2019, 09:56:30 AM
To all moderators and forum admins out here your attention is needed, a big accounts farmer is on going on this great forum and to my understanding this is a result of bad bounty manager who never asked participants for prove of authentication, this morning i got a message from unknown personal

At first i thought it was a joke but i then decide to open the spreadsheet

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XARHuKgNwes_fOgGfNALKx6NxTrPMzx3C8rerRUMl1g/edit#gid=1462649318

And viola i saw my profile username Byakuga on the spreadsheet and i even saw that it's an video campaign, this is interesting because I don't have zeal for YouTube or video campaigns.

The youtube username is Nga pham

I think what this bastards did was fill the bounty form with others bitcointalk profiles they can get their hands on, Please find a way to deal with this rules breakers and i will have to send message to other bitcointalk profiles to let them know

I think you should push this issue to your bounty manager. It's impossible for the staff to filter out which people is legit because they don't have access to the spreadsheet. And as you said on your post, the bounty manager should do a better job.

Sometimes you can even find names like satoshi, theymos, etc on the spreadsheet, and some lazy manager would still count it. Ask the bounty manager to require proof of authentication to solve this. If he don't change, post on that thread that you didn't join that bounty at all.

Who is the bounty manager? Could you please link them to this thread and ask to take appropriate actions? This format in the spreadsheet can be abused in so many ways. One can simply use their account with random names from Bitcointalk to submit multiple entries.

To all moderators and forum admins
They didn't break any forum rules.

Don't worry too much about it, literally everyone can fill these forms using whatever info they want. It should be self-resolved with one simple application post, I just don't think bounty managers(or whoever sent you message) should go around forum and ask users did they join campaigns or not.
