Title: Tracking Trades & P&L
Post by: emd023 on December 21, 2019, 07:36:47 PM
I've tried using some of the coin tracking sites but these dont seem to work well for me. Also, I dont see a way to track my total profits and losses. I see a lot of people suggesting just to manually track everything through excel or google sheets. Does anyone know if there is a template out there that will let me input my trades using the csv exports rather than manually entering each trade? A few questions:

1. Is it possible to track my total profits/losses with USD? How can I see what my trades are worth in USD at the time I make a trade? USD amounts are not available with the CSV exports from exchanges. For example, if I have deposited $5000 over the course of my trading career, is it possible to see what my current holdings are worth in USD?

2. How do you calculate P&L for more complex trades? For example, if I buy 1BTC and over the course of the month use it to make trades with other coins. Or if I decide to take profits on the way up?

3. Do you use the CSV exports to document your trades? If so, how do you do this with trades that have multiple segments with different prices? Do you take the average?

Try 3commas platform. It's bot but you can choose not to use it and just track your portfolio free of charge. All you have to do is import your API Key in your 3commas account and you will be able to view your portfolio P&L in real time in USD.

I just hope you are using exchanges they support.
