The offer is an indirect discount upon purchase with a discount of approximately 33%. It seems a more profitable deal than what happened on Black Friday^[1].
I thought we would see discounts of about 50% as it did last year, but it seems that we will not get more than 33%.

Looks like they want to empty their Nano S stock asap. I don't particularly like discount like this tbh.

I am not sure if this deal better then one at Black Friday, because I got my Nano X with 35% discount which saves me almost $50. This Christmas Pack is $130+, which means you pay full price for Nano X, and get free Nano S.

Personally, I don't find this offer attractive, but it may make sense for those who need the Nano S, for those who already have it, it can only serve as a gift.

Imo there is no sense in having both of them. Just ti give as a gift or to sell it. Maybe if you are buying together with a friend.

X and s are almost the same and they have the same security. The only advantage x has is the extra memory space, so you can have more altcoins apps installed at once (which is not q great advantage )

Ideally, the best package that you could have is getting it with a discount, and obtaining it with an offer is far better than getting it at a regular price. If you are going to get it, the best thing is to get it with an offer, right? Comparing the previous offers like what others said, it's not as high.

One great advantage of X is the portability and no need to bring the extra item (cable), and you could just use it with a smartphone, and you can transact your crypto anywhere. This may be a little thing, but X is convenient when reading the transactions that you have like the address you are sending it to. It shows in 2 lines, instead of moving one-liner in S. It's quite annoying for me.

This way annoying to me as well but they changed this with the newest firmware update.
When you generate new sending addresses now, you see them divided in three parts. You see the beginning of the address, once you confirm it with the one on screen you press the right button to see the 2nd part. After you compare that one you see the last digits on the 3rd part.
It is much better now.

I already have two ledger nano s with me I don't want more not even with an offer. I'll prefer some upfront discount on the product.
Offer is good for new buyers as they can keep the other one as a backup and use it in case of travel or emergency.

The bottom line is whether you need a new Nano X or not, and the Black Friday offer was personally quite satisfying to me with a 35% discount, which was much better than this offer. For someone who already has 2 Nano S, it really doesn't make sense to consider offers like this one, because two devices are quite enough, unless they both break down at the same time.

Ohh. I didn't know that they updated to that. I haven't used my S for quite a while now, I'm even planning to sell it to someone who trusts me, and I trust back. Maybe he could utilize it better than I can. I have been enjoying using X anywhere I needed to, even saved me one time when I needed funds. Thanks for the update!

They changed quite a few things. The size of the firmware has been reduced making it possible to have up to 10-11 apps installed at the same time, depending on app combinations. Something that was no longer possible with the 1.5.5 firmware. Better security, etc, etc.

By this means, they have probably upcoming new models of hardware wallets to be release on 2020? Or just their traditional sale?

GreatArkansas, I believe it is just a promotional sale for Black Friday/Christmas as was the case in previous years. I doubt Ledger will release a new model in 2020, the Nano X is still a new model and I don't see what they can offer at the moment to be better and more competitive. It will probably take several years for the new model if we take into account the time period between the S and X models.

They simply want to sell as many X models as possible, because this is a device with far more space for future firmware upgrades than in the case of Nano S. Obviously the price of one Nano X can financially justify the gift of Nano S.
