Litecoin dipped under $40 a few days ago, I am looking for prices under $30 to buy more.  I could buy maybe a couple hundred LTC, depending on the price.

The way the line moves right now I guess you will not be able to buy more LTC in the next days. LTC is in red just like BTC and many altcoins but it is already moving up. Sooner this red will be gone. LTC at $40 is already cheap. You can either take this price as a good bargain opportunity or risk not buying at that cheap price at all and wait for the price to go down less than $30. Which for me is not probably happening.

It possible you get the price you are waiting for but I think you probably should think of the all time high in recent times and see if with the current price you would still be in profit then you seize the opportunity to get it now or it might never go down low. Well you could also set your order .

Best thing to do when we're waiting for lower price but we afraid we don't get the boat when the price pump is buying in steps. Buy right now and when the price go lower then buy again and again , so we won't regret our decission later on.

Litecoin is good to hold so accumulating at its lowest price is good for you.

Why don't you make an offer on an exchange, if through this forum who guarantees your transaction? more vulnerable to transactions without escrow, be careful!

If you are not buying at 40$ per LTC i think you are missing a big chance because LTC is not going down to 30$ anytime soon, buying at 40$ is very good and soon bear market will be gone

If i tell you to wait for lower price what if by January 2020 price keeps rising and never looking back again? No one can guarantee the outcome of what will happen tomorrow, you need to make up your mind, if you fail just learn from it

the main problem is when that will be happening as the crypto itself still stay at this position without a lot of movements.
You are looking for the cheap price of litecoin but the market doesn't let you to buy on the such rate.

fundamental of litecoin still strong enough and i don't think you will met that price very soon. bitcoin must be dumped again to the bottom before litecoin can achieved that rate.

Well you should wait the down price of litecoin until reach the bottom at $30, but the question is, when will happen?, I think better to buy litecoin at the current price and hold litecoin until you gain profit.

I believed the best time was when Litecoin dipped below $40 and You took the right decision at that price I am afraid now the price might not decline to that price again based on the present state of the price of Bitcoin which stood above $7000+ bearing in mind that the more Bitcoin pumps other altcoins pumps along with it.

We're lucky if Litecoin go down to that level but since the holiday rush for this week is almost over, we can try next week for the new year holiday, maybe some holders will dump their share but I doubt if it will go down at the price you want, I'm ok for Litecoin to drop down to $35 but $30 is almost like a dump when there's no bad news on Litecoin looming.

Last year Litecoin ever raise higher price but look today have drop with lower price, big effect after bitcoin go back under $7k and make many altcoin and Litecoin have been lower price, why many altcoin keep depend their price with bitcoin, why not stand by their self without have connected with bitcoin and keep stronger although bitcoin have lower price.

Not gonna happen unless big bag holders decide to dump part of their share on exchanges, buying LTC at 40$ is not too much if we have to compare to last ATH.

If it is going to happen, I will get some too but, the price is still above $40, and I do not think the time it is gonna drop below $30 is close. I think you can buy it at around $30. look at the chart early in 2019 the price of LTC around $30, the greater the possibility you can get at that price. because the current LTC market conditions are not good, prices tend to fall all the time. but my advice is buy it at the current price of $40, before you miss the green candle at the start, and if the price tends to go down, buy again a good step in my opinion. and I'm sure LTC will improve later, try to examine it more thoroughly, especially in technical.

Don't know it will go under 30$ or not but if it did I will buy as much as I can if possible. But I think it mostly depends on bitcoin. We saw from the past when btc fall LTC fall too. So I think we need to wait for the next btc dump.

i'm not sure that Litecoin can fall below $30 because to reach the next new ATH, the correction that happen at least will still be above that value. so i'm only confident if the price of Litecoins won't fall as low as you expect, but anything is still very likely to happen and if you are confident about it then just wait until you finally know how low the price will be before the bull run

Last two years Litecon ever reached with higher price above $300 and most fantastic price depend bitcoin keep with higher price, when bitcoin have back with lower price not Litecoin have been with lower price under $50, every day litecoin looks drop and worried what have to do reinvesting or sell our litecoin assets because when keep holding maybe price will drop again.

Surely that is the good option now. Since the market is dipping for litecoin you can and should stack on some LTC before the new year. However do note that market for litecoin has been on the downtrend for quite some time now compared to what bitcoin has been. Bitcoin has risen and fallen though within 5% +/- but litecoin has been coming down from 100$ to 50$ gradually to this price now.

There is no low nor there is any high in the trading market. You have to set high/low yourself. Just like many were expecting to buy bitcoin at 6000$ and 5000$. Bitcoin deceived everyone by starting a bull run from 6700$, giving a quick return of around 1000$. Set your buying price and start accumulating slowly.

I think you have to compromise with the market. Though it is possible that litecoin would go down at $30 but I don't think it would be way too easy. It may take a lot of time as the market steadily moving upward right away. Either way it would still be end at your decision but I highly suggest to go at least greater than or equal to $35? Litecopin's price surely will come under 40 USD again but I don't think it will come under 30 USD. Litecoin at 30 USD means the bear market for all coins. Based on coinmarketcap, the all time low for this coin is $1 at 2015 ago and there is no all time low anymore (I mean below $40).

Litecoin is in an interesting position. There are a lot of better projects out there with better technology that people have been investing in to more lately. However, Litecoin has really good name recognition. I'm not sure this alone will be enough to keep it afloat in the long term. But, I'm not entirely sure it's completely dead either. It's really hard to say what's going to happen with it.

Litecoin is not just banking on its name. Litecoin is a solid coin not just due to the name which is almost as old as Bitcoin but also because its use as a currency is also growing. Litecoin is Bitcoin in the altcoin world. Actually if you want to transact with cryptocurrency with a lower fee you will be better off using Litecoin rather than Bitcoin. Lighting network is one thing that Litecoin adopted earlier than Bitcoin.

These prices are peanuts compared to what we saw in the bull market prior to this, and the only difference is the fact that we no longer enjoy as much bullish sentiment within the market as 2 years ago. It's completely irrational if you ask me, since LTC's fundamentals haven't changed a bit with still Segwit on board.

LTC transaction fees are still among the lowest in altcoins as well, with its market being one of the most liquid.

Can somebody convince me why would anyone ever invest in LTC at this point? It is useless, has pretty meaningless history/sentiment at this point and is not being improved in any way. Please enlighten me why this choice if there is so many other useful coins to choose from.

It looks like it will take time to see Litecoin under $30. The stabilize price of it is just moving back and forth to that price and $40. If you really want to buy Litecoins you should take time and consider this suggestion:

As an addition, you can simply cost average at whatever price and aim for how many Litecoins exactly you want to buy regardless of the bottom.

It's still more useful than a lot of the other newer coins that have come out. I can take Litecoin and purchase a gift card to Walmart or wherever with Litecoin and it won't cost me an arm and a leg to withdraw it from an exchange. There are a lot of services built around Litecoin that you still can't use newer coins for. It's been around forever and has built up a community over the years. It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I think is a good idea to buy coins when the price drop and hold for a pump or until bull run and sell on profit, but when you have a chance buy some and hold for profit or how long you can. Right now the price is 42usd ~ is still a good option to buy if you not see more drop this month.

Under $30 is already the extreme to me as well. I don't think it will go as low as that. That is why I am saying that if you really want to buy Litecoin at a cheap price, do so while the price is around $40. Waiting for the price to bend as low as $30 is missing the entire opportunity.

yes DCA is the answer for this one. we can buy at:
$ 40
$ 35
$ 30

using DCA like that, we will get avg better low price. we can sell at $36-40 and still get good profit, as long as we buy in propotional amount
beside that, we still have money by buying lower, it would be different if buying with 100% capital, we dont have money left

after the halving event that was deemed a failure by the market because it could not increase the price of litecoin in the market, I guess when demand increases, the price will immediately increase. it's just a matter of time waiting for an update that can increase market demand and the pump will occur.

Good luck investing in litecoin if you think that it can give you a handsome profit, i am not expecting any huge rally in the coin but if you are able to invest when the price is $30 then you will earn a huge profit when the alt coin rally starts and i am expecting some changes in the development as the core developers said about adding some features to include privacy which will be a great addition if they are really implementing those.

I am a trader who still believes that litecoin prices will continue to rise, so I continue to hold litecoin until now, but if you are looking for litecoin with a price of $30 now, I think you will never get it because the price offered is very cheap compared to current market prices , so, it's better if you buy it in the market by putting a price of $40 or $41 because right now the price of Litecoin is around $42 in some markets.
