Tk808 you're one of the best people in this forum and I have never mentioned it before, one of the best posts I have seen this year is this post below, a post by a veteran who volunteered his time and wisdom to anybody who would just ask and I want to take out this time to really appreciate what you have been doing in this forum, from taking out your time to perform a selfless service to the forum as a whole, but also to selflessly help other people. The topic entails how users should not only give attention to the price of the new project cause it's only natural that price could go up and down but most importantly the investors should also look on their real stance on market have they done showing their product? any use cases? How's the tech is it helpful or just another copycat project of the previous one which only add burden on our marketcap? I think many of crypto users now are more on trading than appreciating what is the new tech that is cool and probably can be like huge project such as eth.

By the way, My new campaign on signature which really cool objective is about tech and no price yet since I believe they can pull off this new exciting platform soon. Ops, Is this by any chance one of youre project handle as advisor? Seeing you as admin there is quite reassuring and boosting my confidence to pick this new project.

This is only an experience by a certain user but it's pretty much the same as my experience too.
I am holding a lot of coins until now that are almost worthless, the reply in that thread help me to be more patient and believe that there's a time for the market to recover again and I'll be able to recover on my loses also.

At this time where our expectation is not happening, we need some motivation from different people and I'm glad I read that in that thread.

I came across lots of posts on this section that were extremely helpful and can't dig them all up at the moment, this reply (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5207567.msg53277860#msg53277860) was succinct and described the situation of the altcoin market since the bubble in the altcoin/ICO market burst.
Also this reply (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5205308.msg53253252#msg53253252), as well as the original thread, it highlighted that an altcoin may actually be the currency of the future despite the situation of the market. I believe a revolutionary develop would eventually design a technology that well fully utilize the blockchain technology.

The useful thread in my opinion thus far it is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5160191.0 the explanation is simple but you'll get its affect and you'll remember that is very important. That's in my perspective only who didn't know it before.

You give us other stable coins out there besides Tether. But what surprises me is that people still believed and like Tether besides many accusations against them, specially about the Bitfinex Allegedly Covers $850 million loss with Tether funds (https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitfinex-allegedly-covers-850-million-loss-with-tether-funds). So the people behind are very shady, investors should use their common sense. But for those who love stable coins, I would suggest they use or try others based on the post by @dkbit98 and see how it goes for you.

I would say this one caught my eye.

Grin Coin : Not just a new currency in the list. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5102304.0). That time I never heard of Grin whatsoever, and I was surprised that Theymos himself love it.


So it was really a eye opener early in 2019, so I did my own investigation of Grin myself and had tried to support this coin and thanks to that thread.

I have many favorite topics, even this thread also in my favorite list now as you are welcoming people by gathering good altcoin topics. You are the best guy in the altcoin section, you visit most of the threads, read most of the replies and whenever you see a good topic or replies, you give merits. I haven't seen anyone like you do this. Hats off to you.  

Scams are one of the highest challenges facing Cryptocurrencies especially HYIPs and Ponzi schemes but it's a sad fact to note that people still fall victims of this almost on a daily basis.

This is a post that has personally helped me because not only is the main post itself educative, the comments are also quite educative and would help a lot of people identify and avoid scams.

Got me tinkering or least if someone would have to read it, definitely will play devils advocate. I mean everyone who joined crypto because we wanted decentralization, with no central authority. However, this thread will open our eyes regarding the state of crypto. And perhaps there is no 'true decentralization', and it could only be a myth after all.

I can say that something like this contributes to improving the quality of "Altcoin Discussion" sub-board. Yes, it is necessary to improve this sub-board because it has many posts and topics. Can these two be combined inside a blockchain and make the best out of it ? I am hoping for more developments in blockchains in the future.

You can look at the replies, amazing to see that people joined because of money, but they believed about decentralisation. Other's found crypto accidentally, through friends or just browsing the web itself. And how it help and change their lives for the good.

It's a nice discussions about blockchain as viable solution to elections. We all know that blockchain data cannot be altered and it is immutable. If this can get traction, I'm sure elections around the world will be better as results will be very quick.

Specially in the country where I lived, sometimes it took days before we can finally see our next President/Vice-President. And this is the beauty of blockchain technology.

Why do you argue about Ripple. People are discussing the best post in 2019 and from that post will get an award in the form of Merits from tk808. Sometimes we are here writing without reading the thread. Posts that are considered outside the discussion (off topic).  ;D ;D ;D

I think, the person above just read the title of the OP question or what he means about the favorite altcoin in 2019. and sorry the answer is very far from the question  ;D . it is important to read before writing. yes, I dare say this because I learned from previous experience.
