For those who don't know, here is a list of coins that will switch to mainnet early next year and activate mainnet Staking ability

1. Matic
Matic plans to launch its mainnet and staking feature in Q1 of 2020

2. Rchain
Rchain will switch to mainnet in January 2020 and activate mainnet staking as well.

3. Elrond
Elrond has launched its pre-staking and mainnet is expected on Q1 2020.

4. Harmony
Token swap and official taking is expected in quarter one of 2020

5. Enigma
Enigma launch of staking and mainnet is coming Q1 2020

6. Cardano
Testnet staking is already enabled, staking on mainnet is expected in Q1 2020

7. Ethereum
Switch to Prove of stake is expected in Q1 of 2020

I just try to remind you about ethereum may not be a POS coin next year and the complete transition can be reached at least 2021 and that means next year there is a lot of possibilities for ethereum to still become POW coin

You can read that news for an evidence. that makes everyone will not put a big expectation for ethereum to be the POS coin next year.

I stay focus wait ethereum because the coin already has track record and good progress. Ethereum has many positive news and development by combine with many platform and use ethereum as payment choice. If I should wait that long maybe I'll replace 10% from my fund in cardano first, reason is to know staking works and find best strategy as recovery plan if staking fail. Many work in 2020 but I'm sure new hope will become reality if stay focus and avoid scammer.

Whether Ethereum switch to POS or not the altcoin will still be the best one out there, i read about the inflation get increased to 20% in the upgrade? Well ETH is a very reliable coin to invest on

There are some other tokens that I think are also going to be staking too but not on the list, VTX I think will also be staking. Enigma isn't very popular but it was create 2017, it had survived the bear market and I guess it will have bright future. Cardano I think already allow those who had their ADA on their wallet during the snapchat. Must be time to invest on it to stake your coins.

I'm not seeing theta and Coti project on your list, they are going to start staking in quarter one of 2020, theta mainnet 2.0 will also take place in January 2020

Not only is ETH suitable for us to invest, there are also many other tokens that are suitable, such as the famous token exchange, because at this time all tokens are in a period of falling prices, so it can be a good opportunity for traders.

From this list I really believe in the meaning of staking only Ethereum and Matic coins.Perhaps in others there is a sense,but alas I was not interested in these projects.

Cardano is also interesting, I saw announcement the other day, who have deadalus wallet (I have that one, they mentioned one more wallet too) and some coins in there in the moment of snap, late November, can start staking right now. There is a calculator on their site about it, how much can you get daily, weekly and yearly from the amount you plan to stake. I will try to set up that this days, I have just couple thousand cardanos, its not much so I don't hurry with setting up that staking.

Thanks for giving us that list. I was thinking that only ethereum will switch to POS in this year I was waiting impatiently for it in this year but one of the person gave a link in which he try to say that it will take one more year. But from your list I can invest in a number of other coins to be the part of staking some beneficial coins.

I am sure that this approach will have a very positive impact on the price of the Ethereum coin.And already now I'm saving up the right amount of coins for stacking.

Tezos seem to be the one outperforming the rest but I am looking forward to ETH staking performance after launch, honestly if a coin like tezos can be doing so good I expect ETH to do better and become more popular

I just look forward to Ethereum to be released in 2020, looking at stability, community, and investors welcome because PoS is more environmentally friendly. I hope ETH 2.0 will have better performance, although someone's assumption explains that the current PoW consensus algorithm from ethereum is still well established and there is no need to rush to release 2.0

This is much awaited in 2020 but is this really going to be released in Q1 2020? the matter is I do not know this directly from the Ethereum.
Of course the release of Ethereum 2.0 will be a good performance in the future with staking that can be relied on by investors or ETH holders, but I am not sure whether this really happened in 2020 or not still confusing.

I am all in for eth upgrade to proof of staking algorithm and im trying to accumulate more and more eth before it goes live, i have been an eth supporter and hodler for couple of years now, not only it is the biggest altcoin but it is the only pioneer and premium smart contracts platform.

Out of the list, yes ethereum is the most reliable out there and maybe upgrading to POS might be able to lure investors to stake their coins instead of just holding it. I don't know about the other coins listed but for me, ethereum is my top priority to stake into.

They did increase the inflation rate, we can not sure whether ETH will be the silver again in the future after all of this. A smart contract is not a new thing right now, almost every project has it. I think there is high possibility for another project to take its place.

I thought it's just switching to POS and i'm sure that the performance will be same as it's now though the block verification might be helped by the existence of staking instead of PoW which hash power always fluctuating. However, it seems this switching really tense people up and I'm myself looking forward to the implementation. Though, kinda dissapointed how far the gap between their first announcement and the implementation.

Not only Staking coins are good to invest on presently, we are still in red market and I belief this is the best time to buy these good coins since they are still very cheap, weak coins are already dying and some are dead already

And please do you know what will be the staking reward? I know that Cardano will give 3-4% profit per year. But what about Ethereum or Matic.
With the recent Matic dump I am thinking about buying it for future´s profit.  ;D

That's right, for those who have a lot of capital, it's better to buy some good coins at the moment, even though the market is still in red, it won't be a problem, because when the market starts to turn green, the profits will be very much

Honestly, these doesn't look like they will change crypto world that much. Ethereum is the only big one with others following and yes ethereum moving to stake will be a huge deal but others won't be that much of a deal. Plus ethereum is not moving to stake during that horrible clogging time they used to have during the boom of dapp era, they are moving now after all is said and done.

If they moved 2 years ago when dapps were created like butterflies all around the world probably more than one a day and clogged it and it was stake, I am pretty sure there will be even worse clogging and more expensive moves.

The whole idea of proof of stake means you don't think you will have bitcoin amount of transactions, bitcoin for example is having hard time even with proof of work right now, if it were to move stake it would be horrible. This year will show us all what proof of stake is capable of, if they can succeed with a lot of transactions then other coins may switch too, if they fail then proof of stake will take a big hit.

The same thing that is in my mind. I am also interested on Ethereum, Matic and Cardano but I don't think I am investing more money apart from my present portfolio if the yearly profit is too low. I am expecting Ethereum return will be low too. Matic is a new coin and made its own bear and bull wars just this year. Matic might be giving us a good profit here. 

3 of them are Binance IEO and i'm not really believe in Binance now. Most of their IEO keep lost too much value from the ATH in short period, some has lower than IEO price. I'm not really attract with those coins, too risky if the price divide many times while staking.

It seems like a lot of great coins are starting to get into POS scheme. I am not a fan of stacking, because you need an insane amount of coins that you need to have and rewards are not worth it in my opinion.

hey, don't forget ethereum competitors, WAVES on your list, Waves can enter the project with a successful staking system in my opinion, even though the rewards aren't distributed quite a lot, but this is an interesting system  ;)

in 2020 we will see a real battle for the leading positions of the coins that will be based on POS. 2020 is the year of staking. These obvious conclusions can be drawn if we look at how large exchanges began to actively introduce staking on their exchanges. Now you need to buy all the coins from the list that you wrote and wait. people will soon be very active in buying altcoins and they will buy first of all those coins that will bring them passive income

Well, if nothing new happens to Ethereum, I think the price will get worse. Just look at this year, nothing has changed for them, right ? I don't know why it's very need to take a long time just to give some new log/development for this one. Also in other way, staking is not worthy anymore.

When the market is still red, it is indeed the right time to buy more coins, especially potential coins or top coins which are very possible to recover and the price increases. For me personally, I would choose to buy more coins that I think is potential because not all coins we buy at low prices will be able to provide benefits later. So we really need to make observations about a few coins before deciding to buy it.

Not for some tokens. For ADA you can stake just how much you can have, I saw a post in their thread they can stake with just 2K ADA on their wallet. And with its price right now that is just $0.04 you can afford to buy 5K more of it to ensure your profit when ADA's product will be launched. I'm sure the token will be valuable in the future. Its marketcap already is making its promise for its investors.

From the list that you provide, I hope that the bets here are not in the real sense, which I hope from the list can have a positive impact on the market and for its customers next year, even though we never know and can only wait until the best possibility happens

DO you know ethereum have program for staking, which one your source link about ethereum become staking coin and which one exchange market available for staking with ethereum, I want to know because above altcoin only ethereum look stable price and become profitable if staking with ethereum, by the way how many percent each month for ethereum staking coin?

Thank you for the list. I have great hopes on Ada n eth in 2020 and already started buying in small amounts to average them in the future. The price will definitely go up at the time of updates and I will be planning cash then out.

about Matic , i am quite sure , its surely be true , even from now , that HYIP is real , also on ETH , eth v2 its a long time.
but about another , i didn't see any good performance from them , although they will do some a good program for next year, but the hyip seems normal like another.

Very cheap reward if only giving about 10% every year reward for ethereum reward because just getting about 1% each month with faced risk by ethereum keep lower price, better not joining with staking coin if price always down and best ideas by trading because we can get much profit just few days without waiting each month to get profit from staking way.

There is no details yet about how much returns one will get when staking ethereum and yes it's true that ETH 2.0 upgrade will bring Staking to the masses, the only sad news about it is 32ETH minimum requirement to start staking which is very high

in addition to etherum, tokens on the list do not yet have a guarantee that they will get a good volume. so when the proof of staking feature is developed, chances are that its success is still inferior to etherum. but all of that is still a plan, not just etherum but all the coins that develop these features will not necessarily be completed quickly or in other words q1 next year can already be applied.

if we talk how much losing value from ATH in short term, I think most of crypto would be same
even BTC, a king of crypto, is also lose its value so fast. BTC lost value more than 70% after its ATH ($ 19,000)

I think many projects will abandon proof of work POW in coming years, it's like most project find some kind of ease in proof of staking ability, do not let staking to cloud your judgement on any coin, if i have to invest on any staking coin it must have real use case not just the staking ability because as time goes on if trading volume decreases there will be a problem

POW now. I do agreed too that putting 32 ETH is not practical to apply just for the sake of staking. It must been think several times

Like most of the people here i am also looking forward for Eth network's move to proof of stake algorithm it is just the perfect form of mining where it does not require expensive equipment and energy to yield eth rewards rather we just hold certain amount of coins that perform almost the same function as pow did. I am really excited about this upgrade from Eth and im very optimistic about the great growth in Eth value as a result of this upgrade.

Ethereum staking program could start last of this year. This is the one biggest news for altcoins. After Ethereum I'm so exited about Harmony staking news. Harmony is one of the successful last year. Another staking program is Ferrum network, although this is running but good and very new.

I think they already announced that they will proceed to the transfer of blockchain this year. Probably they can, but the total stability during the transfer will be realize and feel by the people on the next fee years. This is a big and challenging step for them so expect some flaws along the way. I am an eth fan so I am hoping this could be a game changer for the altcoins and eth is the candidate to surpass bitcoin in the future.

The problem i see with the staking coin is that there will be a monopoly for investors with big amount and you cannot expect new investors coming up and stake the coins thinking that they could get the monopoly in the market, i am eager to see how the market will respond to the protocol change as i am not expecting a huge rally in ETH.

And those are the best altcoins in 2019, I believe that in 2020 the price of all altcoins on your list will increase if BTC is pumped after halving. Try to hold as much as possible these altcoins and we certainly will not regret it in the future

I think staking is better than mining. So I a very excited to looking forward to seeing these features in 2020. If they succeed to open these features this year it will created an impact in the market.

Most of the projects are providing staking rewards because investors are more attractive in staking good percentage, I think investors will invest more in Ethereum staking, and then other three altcoins Harmony, Cardano, and Matic but not can invest in all projects.

Actually, etherum staking would allow a lot of big whales to make immense profits by trading with the markets as well as holding some coins to earn the staking rewards. Etherum was on the verge to loose it's value and something like this can gain the interest back into etherum. There were a lot of people who used to blindly trust etherum but days changed due to the more advanced platforms launched which made etherum depict in the competition.

Etherum was mainly been launched to support a number of newly generated coins by creating smart contract on the etherum network but now there are waves, eos, etc which allow the same functions but with a more futuristic process so etherum might not be that demandable in the market if it does not open it's mainnet for staking.

A good listing and for me I don't have too many options regarding stake this year's tokens or coins. I am still holding on to choose Ethereum, just ETH because I see high potential in ETH this year. At this time, ETH is still preparing everything for the development of 2020. And ETH, I think to become a POS is still a dream. For POS maybe I will choose Matic and I will decide to have it in February 2020.

You do not believe in the transition of ETH to POS this year? I do not understand why? Look at how the project team works. This month they have already made a successful update that brings them closer to switching to POS. Of course, they do not always have everything going according to plan, but in the case of this massive update, they simply do not have the right to make a mistake. I can understand about the above 6 coins you mentioned might shift the mainnet and would allows us the feature of staking but why etherum? I am not really sure about etherum whether it would allow us to have benefits from staking. This should be confirmed from any official source so that it becomes easier to digest.

Staking has been a beneficial form of holding and we do get some rewards for holding the coins in our wallets which might be of most interest for the investors who invest for long terms. These coins already have huge demand and the ability to earn rewards while holding them in our wallets makes it more beneficial for the investors.

Dusk Network is also supposedly going for public mainnet and stacking, but they have been a little behind on their promises now. Not on the code perhaps but behind on the expectations of partnerships.

There may be a lot of coins/tokens lists that will run staking programs this year, there are only a few lists but there are actually dozens of projects. I see several projects will launch it and this is one of their flagship programs to attract investors.
