Do you have the private key or the seed for the BTC address? Is it a legacy address? If yes then it will be easy to recover your BCH.
Just import the btc address private key in your BCH wallet.
If you sent to a SegWit address then the recovery process may be more complicated.

If you sent your coins to an exchange or another platform where you don't have access to your private keys then you should contact their customer support and explain to them what happened.

If you sent to a SegWit address then the recovery process may be more complicated.

If he accidentally sent it to segwit address he will need BCH miner to help him recover his BCH funds.

btc.com has this service before but it seems they already closed it and no longer offer this service.

Look: https://bch.btc.com/docs/help/bch_segwit_recovery

So your final solution for this is to find trusted BCH miner who can mine and claim it as suggested from here sent BCH to a BTC Segwit address (https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/78881/sent-bch-to-a-btc-segwit-address)
