Can anyone tell me the best profitable alt coin for mining
and what mining machine is best for that alt-coin.

The best profitable altcoin to mine presently is ETH as https://whattomine.com says, followed by haven protocol which is a cryptonight based algorithm coin, to mine both you will need powerful sets of graphics cards like new RTX from Nvidia and RX Vega from AMD, they are very good and active

If for the best and profitable coins you can see them in the CMC list, and choose the top 10 coins that are there, I am sure you will be profitable, and for the best mining machines, I do not know because I have never used a mining machine to this day.

Mining is expensive method to create income but mining in red market is not wise decision. People will give many advice, such as bitcoin, eth and ltc but when red market will destroy big profit you have. I'll not stop you for mining but analyze again because built your own rig in warehouse/ garage is the best solution for miner. You need total in mining world, down trend still running and only rig can give you income.

You have to make a investment to profits mining or staking. Mining is very expensive and also has country legality problem. Before Bitcoin halving you should start Bitcoin mining. If you have interest in others coin than you can do Ethereum mining because after Ethereum 2.0 only support proof of staking.

GPUs are best imo, but honestly? your question is way too broad haha

There are some calculators that help you to choose the most profitable one. But I would prefer to mine some more estabilished altcoin to prevent possible dumps. My tips are Ethereum or QuarkChain.

There are different algorithm followed by coins and their mining process too differs.
Ethereum is the most profitable coin right now to mine and is effectively mined by gaming grade GPUs while SHA256 based coins like bitcoin and scrypt based coins like Litecoin are best mined by their dedicated mining hardware.

But the technique of some miners, it's no longer profitable for them to mine those popular altcoins, because of its difficulty and that's why they are looking for a newer coin and mine it for few times and wait until it hypes.

It should be cryptonight coins. I don't even think if you can be very profitable when you are mining another coin just like ethereum or something else as the block halving has made it becomes less and less profitable to be mined. It's better to choose the best coin that is still having small total hashrate and low difficulty rather than try your chance on the big coins. that will only waste a lot of your time.

Better to mine PoS coins for now. My advice mining Staking is not too complicated for beginners, you just research the coins that have the potential and go to exchange. PoW mining for now is almost unprofitable, it also needs a GPU that synchronizes with the coins you are mining, electricity also needs to be noticed so that you can get the maximum profit. For BTC, LTC, ETH mining, only special mining companies can get the maximum profit, if you want to mine the coins that I call 6-12 GPUs, I don't think you will get anything.

I think Ethereum is still the most profitable altcoin for mining, but if you start now you should calculate when you will get return on investment because if buy equipment and all stuff and pay for electricity much then is on other countries you will start make profit after some months.

I think mining is not affected by the laws of the country, no country actually bans mining. But the cost of mining in each country is different because the price of electricity and mining cost are different. I still prefer mining because it helps us to have a more stable income than trading and margin

If you are not affected of high rate electricity then you can continue mining coins. But in my part I already take down my small mining rig as the
generated charges for my electricity bills almost double than my actual mine value.
You need to do research and check if you are willing to hold coins and wait before selling it as the market volatility also affected your profits.

I think better you buy an altcoin and hold it than you want to start mining because not fast way how to get much profit with bitcoin mining, when you buy altcoin you can sell after price is up with one day or week later, but for mining you have waiting maximum eight months later to get back your salary and next month later is your chance to get profit.

For me, Bitcoin is always and all the ways is still profitable for the mining purpose, You have to think about the core of this cryptocurrency so Bitcoin is ultimately the base of this system, people still know Bitcoin is everything, many people know the Blockchain and Cryptocurrency though the Bitcoin, so I think Bitcoin mining is the best for mining issue, if you think about the altcoin then Ethreum will come first in terms of profit-generating aspect, I believe Bitcoin and Ethereum both have a good positive in this forum yet.

people know that ETH is good for long term, but to mine it isnt easy at all

ether was once the most profitable coin for mining but we can't say it is the most profitable one right now.
Only the people who have a good set of GPUs have a good hashrate to mine ether. It is not suitable for all to mine ether.
Other altcoins are available to mine as well but will be a little risky since the current market is not in a bullish trend.

As long as you can maintain the hardware and pay off the electricity bills then mining is profitable but with increasing difficult i am not sure if any of the coins are profitable and now if the OP is planning to invest in mining then it will not be a smart move as ETH is also changing their protocol to proof of Stakes (POS) and hence that is also gone and other than that what other coins can be profitable in the market right now.

@OP the budget is the main thing, if you are planning to invest millions then bitcoin mining farm is always the best option with the latest ASIC.

is not in a market condition like now can make us profitable if the market conditions will experience a pump. I am not a bitcoin or altcoin miner. but if you look at what happened to bitcoin a few years ago, don't they who mine bitcoin when the price is cheap and then experience a market peak in 2017 they are saving for the long term.

But to answer OP every altcoins out there is still profitable and you can take advantage of it if youre consumption on electricity is quite low. Like ether still good to mine, just provide a good specs of GPU.

Thank you for this information. Its always a difficult task deciding on which altcoin to mine considering the nature of the market and the requirements for mining an altcoin. I vehemently believe that mining could be lucrative, if one has the right information and is able to mine the right combination of cryptocurrency.
