I personally feel these are the four best coins available for investment in 2020.

My first preference will always be Bitcoin and in 2020 I plan to accumulate more every moth systematically. 50 perecent of my total investment will be into Bitcoin, the reason is halving.

Since I expect the price of Bitcoin to rise in 2020, I also expect the same for ETH , XRP and LTC. I will divide the rest of 50 perecent investment equally to these three.

I am not planning to invest everything in one go. I will invest every month to get different positions at different price point. What do you guys thinks?

Do you also agree with the choice?

Bitcoin is a big influence on Eth, XRP and Litecoin and that can be the reason why those who have BTC also allocated some percentage of their portfolio to the other three coins. The potential for these four top cryptos to be hitting it big this 2020 is quite good, though of course nobody know for sure what can happen in the real world we live in. Cryptocurrency remains to be one of the best investments with good returns  to go into but we should always be aware of the many possible risks. I have the same strategy, concentrate more on Bitcoin but not neglecting these other coins too. Let's hope the coming halving would be doing some miracles to our beloved and invested on cryptocurrencies.

My first choice will be bitcoin.I don’t no explain need for bitcoin.but I will replace XRP to BNB.BNB is known for binance, bnb will be next eth,they are doing very well in last 24months.Same as you in ETH and LTC.Even I am trying to collect few ETH now.         

BNB has the potential to reach $50 easily in a Bull market, I think it is a good choice. But, the only drawback is that it fully depends on the performance of Binance exchange. If anything goes wrong with Binance it will tank. Whereas XRP is a safe bet. It will not reach $50 or more in price but has the potential to reach $1 in a Bull market.

Bitcoin is the must coin that we should have. Ethereum, xrp, and litecoin is the next coin that we should have too. That is good if you can invest for all of that coin in monthly so you can add more amount to your wallet, you can wait for the next increase of every coin that you have. I agree that we should do that if we want to make a profit from that list. I already invest in bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, and I still have some xrp too. And like other people, I am waiting for the next bull run that will comes to us.

Here's my take:

Ignore Ripple (XRP). It's a centralised coin, it's been trying to break into the remittances market (taking a stake in Moneygram) but is struggling to make a break through. It's going nowhere.

Ethereum has also been struggling ever since the regulators clamped down on ICOs. Previously you had to buy ETH in order to participate in the ICO, but the demand has now dissapeared as ICOs have stopped being issued. There is nothing supporting the price, and in addition the developers are making the coin so complicated (with plans to move to proof of stake) that it's a nuisance for exchanges etc to maintain the support.

Both bitcoin and litecoin have a good future as they are straightforward to use. Litecoin is now on most exchanges and crucially you can now trade it against fiat in most currencies.

So of the four coins you listed, I'd go for BTC and LTC.

If I were to invest in the coming year, I would choose to invest with Bitcoin. As for me, it will have a good future in 2020 since there will be great events that could affect its price positively. Eth, Xrp, and Ltc have good potentials as well and they will surely rise when the price of BTC gets better. Investing in these top coins will surely be the best decision that we can do to start 2020.

I prefer between BTC, ETH, or XRP while for LTC I am not too focused to observe its growth. maybe for some people it will be beneficial but for me maybe not, the reason is I don't observe ltc and maybe for me it will be difficult if I do add coins to do monitoring. and maybe I will divide my funds into several points to invest in it with a bigger percentage on coins that have good potential

yes that seems like a good choice.
Bitcoin is of course the only coin that almost everyone is interested in investing because they are very confident that bitcoin can benefit them mainly because bitcoin is limited so there is a possibility that bitcoin will be of very high value in the future, but i think ethereum is also a good coin to invest after bitcoin and for now ETH is ranked 2 out of 1,519 coins circulating in the crypto market.

That is a very interesting analysis.

I agree about XRP the biggest issue with it is centralization. But, centralized economics can be fruitful if transparency is maintained. In regards to ETH I do agree that the demand has decreased but, the market share is still being maintained by the team. If they are able to convert it POS the demand will again surge. It is a wait and watch strategy that needs to be applied.

Most of the people here opt to invest in bitcoin but there are very few people who actually believes in the technology.
Bitcoins price has increased a lot over the time and most of it has increased because of speculative reasons.
People are just blindly investing in bitcoin because they have faith in it that it's price will definitely increase over time.
This is another reason why bitcoin's price has been increasing over the years.
I would still invest in bitcoin because it is legendary. My favorite coin is ethereum after bitcoin.
ETH has a good technology and a great platform to solve many problems. I am not so interested in XRP and LTC though.

Ofcourse i will choose also bitcoin because of the chance the price of this will increase in 3rd Quarter of year 2020 because of bitcoin halving,  and like you i will buy altcoins like Ethereum,  because i believe price of this like in 2017 will recover again when Bitcoin Bull run began.

And also don't invest in ripple because this is centralize coins like said by other members here in forum and also based on my personal knowledge.  Because developer of this coins can easily control the price and dump million of coins if they want and actually in some articles says this is already happening now

Without confusion i choice bitcoin for investment in everytime so next boom i hope upcoming year 2020. I sold altcoins which i take from bounty and i have bought bitcoin for still long time holding.

Your point to invest 50% of your total investment is reasonable and I am agree with this and I would add ETH and LTC as well in my portfolio because the current market situation of both coins looks decent to invest in but investing in XRP is quite risky for me because I think it's not performing according to my expectations so I would pick xlm in place of XRP hopefully this decision will give me positive result.

It is hard to commit that I just only invest Bitcoin for the whole life or let may say next year. If we are able to see an opportunity in altcoins, then there is no reason to decline. ETH, XRP, and LTC are on the list among the top altcoins in the market. They have gaining potentials and that is what we look for. I'll be open to any changes and I should think also of considering altcoins investment next year if the market will recover.

My first choice is Bitcoin. I will invest my 50% both in Bitcoin and ETH. Besides i would like to hold some LTC , XLM and EOS. But i'm not interested in XRP.

Yes, that's a solid portfolio. I'll probably go as high as 60% on bitcoin though.

And then the rest spread out on those three coins. I guess for us casuals, we can't really just buy in one go, it takes time for us to let's say accumulate one BTC (which I think the majority's goal). So might be better to prioritise on BTC. Followed by the rest, ETH, XRP and LTC.

Of course you can ignore XRP and invest in other suitable coins or tokens. I selected XRP based on the historical data. If you check the last Bull run of 2017  and the one that happened earlier this year the price of XRP went high to a significant amount.

As the third biggest cryptocurrency according to market cap the chance of this coin surging next year is pretty high.

For me ETH is the most potential coin to invest in currently. Aside to all other coins mentioned here BNB cannot be ignored as well. Most of the projects are still being launched on ERC20 network means people still believe that projects on ERC20 blockchain can attract more investors. I personally prefer ERC20 network for transactions due to its speed. Transactions on Bitcoin blockchain takes some time where as ETH network is very fast, current price of ETH is another reason to invest in it.

I still prefer bitcoin. I think the price will not surprise me in 2020 but I will still continue to invest in the future.

I would not expect the prices of alts to rise along with Bitcoin. Bitcoin gets projects, investors, and attention. Altcoins used to have that stuff, but they disappointed people, so there does not seem to be a reason to give them a second chance. Okay, Ethereum is alright, I guess, but the latter two don't look to me like they're gonna make it. I'd invest in Bitcoin and Bitcoin only. I mean, I have minor investments in LTC, IOTA, XRP, TRX and perhaps a couple of smaller coins I don't even remember since 2017, and I'm not selling them, since it does not make any sense to me, but I'm not buying any alts anymore.

My personal favorite is Bitcoin and I am going to invest 50 percent of my total investment into it. But, I am also trying to diversify my portfolio and the coins that I have listed have been promising until now. I am still not sure about XRP, there are others that I might look into.

Those are just suggestions from them, you still can have XRP if you feel like its best to have it. You know, XRP is on the top of the chain and there is a reason why its been there for so long.  BTC will still be the first choice. ETH offers passive income this time when ETH2.0 is launched as well so its a good token to hold.

The reason why I shill for it is because I have some XRP which I bought since its price were less than $0.05,  but its true that XRP can be huge as well.

Personally i would pick bitcoin cause i think it is the biggest winner in 2020, but if im going to invest in a particular coin other than BTC that has a potential, it would be NEO the chinese backed up crypto, right now it is in its lower lows also it is part in the Top 20 list in CMC, i think it could potentially have a major rally sooner along with bitcoin.

Totally agree! And that is the reason why my portfolio is divided between BTC and ETH. Some specialists think that the price of Bitcoin could reach $ 9000 before the end of 2020. I try to keep the tradition buy low and sell high with all my limits. I love Bitcoin, Ethereum is allowing to create solutions to real problems allowing the emerging economy and the Fintech boom to grow.
I have tried to invest in Litecoin. If everything goes well for next year I will do it because, in my country, the cryptocurrencies of more interest are: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and DASH

For 2020 eth will have great progress than other coin, this time eth has stable price and volume but in the fundamental foundation have good project with ethereum 2.0. XRP and LTC has no significant progress and in price/ volume down trend look's real in chart. People already give up with bitcoin, no good sign in progress and movement. Developer already finish and has no solutions about bitcoin, this first coin has no enemy except currency.

As long as crypto exists, no doubt that this four is the best coin to invest


Of course, I would even call that majority here is 100% on BTC, a maximalist.  :)


We can't really predict the future. But since block halving is just months, chances are we could see a good bounce in the five figures, so let's see.


No need to invest in one go, just invest what you can afford. As long as you invested every day, weeks, months, years. The most importing thing is how to play your cards in order to get profits from your investment.

Bitcoin has always been the best choice for investment, but I personally have no doubts about LTC, I will buy some LTC into my portfolio. I will spend my funds, 60% for Bitcoin and 40% for LTC. The decline in the price of LTC at the moment I think is very suitable to buy more LTC.

Of course I will make the first BTC investment option, I will use most of the money I have to invest in BTC in 2020 because in 2020 BTC will be halving and the price is likely to increase at that time. . Also I will buy a bit more ETH to hold. I would not choose to invest LTC and XRP because these are the 2 worst altcoins I know, their prices will never go up too high in the future, I'd rather choose other altcoins instead of investing in LTC or XRP

You already know what the reason behind that which is halving and ethereum 2.0. Eventhough we won't see a sudden price increase when the halving happens, just like the last halving was. I do hope it will give a great impact on the price.

Not gonna lie, LTC has always been in my portfolio and I think it will always be there. Though it does need time for LTC to gain another increase on the price.
As long as I don't go overboard with how much money I invest, I think I'm good and more importantly I have to prepared for the worst-case scenario.

I don't agree with your choice and i hope you understand that centralized are always the fast line for every crypto investors to lose his investment because they are always manipulated and mainly profitable for the main players or group that controls the system. Therefore, i will advice you to exclude XRP and don't believe the hype and the company partnership they had or about to will lead to a surge in the price of the coin.

There are just two for me. Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Although I also have LTC in my stash but that is just for future profit.

I dont really like multitasking too much coins. I would rather pick the best ones and focus there, specially bitcoin.
Ethereum also caught my eye because of the speed in transaction and also for cheaper deals.
That is for something else though and not for stashing.

most altcoin prices usually follow bitcoin, but usually bitcoin has the sharpest movements, so if you want to invest, it's better to use bitcoin, but if you want to have altcoin, you can choose ETH as another alternative, because ETH has a higher value than the coins you mentioned.

Honestly I am not really familliar at LTC and XRP coin so I can't say that this is a good choice. But if you ask me. I will suggest that it is practical if you invest in a two coin which is eth and bitcoin. 70% of bitcoin and remaining 30% will be invest at eth because all we know that those two coin is the most fast moving coin here in crypto.

But to this point, I'd rather to invest Bitcoin solely. I'm not really confident of ETH this time, it is only beneficial if we go into long-term investment but I'm not and I only play short-term trading. I'd just like to maximize my fund only for bitcoin cause I know and I believe that I can be profitable rather than of having ETH.

That's good decision not to put all in one position. I also do the same strategy, I use portion of my capital to take position and the rest of my capital will be used as a "support position" which means that if prices bounce opposite, I still have the capital to take positions and make a profit.

Well, for 2020 Bitcoin is still my favorite, especially it's near to halving as you said, the trend looks good although Bitcoin market in sideaway right now.

My preference would be BTC first and then ETH then LTC and lastly XRP.
BTC is for obvious reasons, halving is near and that will affect the price of all other alts. ETH staking is will make some impact on holders so investments will be more. LTC is at the bottom and we may see good movements. Lastly XRP is also having good developments in 2020.

First of all I would like to start by saying "F xrp" because that coin is worthless and should be less than 1 satoshi per xrp, Ripple the company scams people with their centralized horrible system but people eat it up like the idiots they are, anyone who has even 1 xrp is an idiot.

On the other hand Bitcoin is the biggest coin and is improving very very slowly and it is not really that awesome right now but that doesn't change the fact that bitcoin IS the biggest one, ethereum is just second and it is trying to improve, it works to pass bitcoin one day with all the better improvements, it is struggling but it is working towards that. Litecoin is just bitcoins testnet, whatever bitcoin aims at doing, it works on litecoin first and if it is a good idea then bitcoin starts to work on it as well.

I'll still prefer BTC and ETH, although I trade XRP I'm not a holder on if. I just day trade and that's it.

But we all know that BTC and ETH are the most preferred investments because they already have a solid history specially BTC. LTC? it's just a small brother and guinea pig of BTC, lol, so not a viable investment, probably good to use in gambling only.

I will definitely invest in Bitcoin, In 2019 Bitcoin has shown us a great growth, and until now, Bitcoin is still being supported at very good prices. So there's no reason for us to give up Bitcoin, I'm still trying to buy as much bitcoins this year as possible because 2020 BTC will be halving and I believe there will be a huge price surge coming up soon.

Sure, a lot of coins have the potential to go ballistic in a bull market, and you could probably throw darts at a board right now and wind up hitting a coin that will make you money if bitcoin goes on a tear.  But BNB wasn't even mentioned in the OP, so I'm not sure where all this love is coming from. 

I hate these false choices anyway.  If you think all of these coins will do well, buy some of each.  You don't ever have to limit yourself to any particular coin since you can buy small amounts of any of them.  But anyway, the only one I don't like is Ripple out of the ones OP mentioned.  Bitcoin and ETH are probably both going to be big winners in the upcoming year and maybe Litecoin as well.  Ripple sucks IMO.

Bitcoin is definitely everyone's favorite choice that will be the best choice for investing, including me who always prioritizes bitcoin to be invested every year because it always gives a good return.
and I will also choose Ethereum and Litecoin to invest in 2020, although this year is bad but I am sure that next year both will provide good prices.

In my opinion to get the maximum profit, the capital we have can be bought 50% bitcoin. And the rest can buy 20% ETH, for XRP 10% and
LTC 10%. With such a division of capital I am very confident that I can make a profit in 2020.If my predictions will run smoothly, later in the
middle of 2020, when halving bitcoin happens almost all crypto prices can rise to the top. So it will not be wrong to invest in BTC, ETH, XRP
and LTC. All of the cryptos mentioned have very strong fundamentals. So it's a possibility the price will go up according to many people's predictions.

Bitcoin is still the most attractive cryptocurrency for me to invest in 2020 because we all know the event for bitcoin which is halving and investing in bitcoin right now is like grabbing the opportunity to take a lot of free money later on. Bitcoin is still under $10,000 which is pretty cheap in my opinion and once the halving is done, I think that the price could go up to $50,000 at the end of the year.

Of course bitcoin, why ? because of halving. I think my simple answer will make me look like i'm not serious with it. But yes, i really believe halving can give something better for my investment in future. No new ATH, it is ok for me as long bitcoin price not dumped really hard because of people who sell it in a lot of amount.

I think now is the time to invest in the second most important cryptocurrency. I'm talking about Ethereum. We may see an increase in the price due to the upcoming large-scale update of Ethereum 2.0 in 2020. Such project improvements are rare, so this event should attract the attention of investors.

The next bitcoin halving will happen some months later so I will invest in BTC for sure because if the same story that happened in the previous halvings repeats again, my investment will be multiplied by a large amount.
