I spend a lot of my time observing the market even though I do not have much bitcoin, and I am very confident that it will penetrate a million dollars in the coming years.

The price of 1 BTC=$1M is McAfee's expectation and prediction, but I think it is impossible by the end of 2020. Even if BTC can reach $20k by the end of 2020, it is a success. It's too big for the whole market.

from that prediction my goal is $1M also. i ll be retired after that touch. and 1 satoshi equal 1 cent. its the deepest place to $ go.

1 million dollars?  everything can happen considering the development of bitcoin is very rapid but if possible don't expect to reach 1 million dollars.
It takes a very long time to arrive at that price but everything can still happen.....

Because Bitcoin is deflationary, it makes since that compared to a inflationary fiat currency, it should always increase in value.

The second thing that probably will happen is that the scarcity of Bitcoin will also make the value increase as demand increases.

These 2 factors mean that it should gain value over time with no limit to the value, so theoretically it should eventually reach $1M.

And what's your analysis behind that? we can easily say as enthusiasts that bitcoin will reach that height but we're living in the reality of this world. We have heard McAfee before and told that it's about $500,000 base on his numbers but sudden changed into $1,000,000.

Did you took his analysis and believed that it's possible? I'm not trying to be skeptic on this part and I would definitely love to see bitcoin hit $1,000,000 but if that happens, do you think that you still hold it or probably sold it when it goes $100,000 or at half?

Nothing is impossible, I used to doubt that bitcoin would reach 10K, but the fact is bitcoin is able to pass it easily, by the way what makes you believe that bitcoin can reach 1 million, give me a logical reason, because 1 million in my opinion is too high.

Bitcoin's goal is mainstream adoption not reaching $1M. Not just a trading pair...WTF

If you are so confident, you best start getting as much as possible ASAP. A 100x increase in price is a good incentive

Might happen, we don't know. But in my opinion, it might not even hit a hundred thousand. As time progresses, the price is falling down. It is not that I am saying that it will die soon but what I am saying is that it might not reach the ATH in the near future. It might stay continuously low.

million dollars? I dont think it will happen , take a look if this things happen how much will be the transaction fee for everytime you will transfer bitcoin , 100$ ? Do you think someone want to hold a coin and pay 100 dollar for just fees.even small or large transactiob you need to pay for fees.

What for prediction about bitcoin price will go on million dollar coming next several years later, its really impossible for bitcoin have higher price right now because bitcoin always have fight from many countries dislike bitcoin become legal currency and investment assets, they will try thousand ways how to make bitcoin become hate by many investors.

The McAfee million prediction is very much off the chart and though it can be possible that indeed BTC can be a million dollar digital asset maybe it can really be taking decades before it can hit that high. There are now so many factors at play that prevents BTC from jumping and pumping non-stop. We are talking here of regulations, lack of extreme speculations (akin to 2017), lack of massive adoption (resulting into many questioning the use-cases of BTC itself) and many small things all contributing to the current price of BTC. I would be so happy if this year BTC can be able to go back to the $20K level.

Million dollars huge for now,I think It's a dream now.Maybe in future it will be. But hoping million dollar with 1 or 2years is really dream.I am not bitcoin hater,I am bitcoin lover and holder (low amount).but Thinking million dollars in short time is not right.         

Prices can reach millions of dollars if bitcoin has been mined. As long as it's still not being mined I think the price will only remain that range.
Once bitcoin is depleted mined it will be very difficult to get 0.5 bitcoin and therefore prices will skyrocket when demand is large and the amount of bitcoin is limited.

Patience BTCrother, real audience incoming. 2015 looked small compared to 2017. Future will be huge.

Why do you have that thought? I have yet to see any sign that Bitcoin's price has risen to $ 1 million. The dot-com bubble has caused the capitalization of large corporations like Amazon, Microsoft, and Google to grow very strongly, about 9 years after the dot-com bubble burst. That's how businesses bring services to society and it has real value. So what is bitcoin besides human psychology? Do you ever think its value is high because people fomo it for a long time? Think about this carefully and you will immediately quit thinking about $ 1 million or $ 10 million in the future. ;)

McAfee just want to create a bit hype with this prediction. I dont think that we will see 1 millions for btc ever

Maybe 50 years from now haha. $1m per bitcoin is still a dream we can say right now looking at how things and prices are going in bitcoin but I think we can come up to that price but will really take a seriously long time we are talking about more than 50 years for sure.

I do believe such price can be achieved but only maybe in 10 years or more if more than half of earths population starts using it on a regular basis daily life situation.

I wonder what could happen if all countries would adopt it.
In that case we would have a major implication at payment methods as a main currency to have (obligated?) therefore more people would buy it reaching that threshold.

Everyone else here are hoping to achieve that all time high many years from now. If that happens, all of the btc holder will be financially stable. Though I'll admit it will be a long way before reaching million dollars. We can't really predict when, since there is just a limited supply of bitcoin and the less supply of it the more chance of increasing it's price so, let's see.

With this I want to share something to you. I know you really is a supporter of cryptocurrency, and for me, I don't think you could achieve your goal without really having bitcoin stored in one of your wallets. So, to start, the very first thing you should have is knowledge. This will make you a bitcoin millionaire so with the time you are spending looking at the market, why not to try to learn some things regarding the basics of cryptocurrency. You could basically develop an application that utilizes crypto that would give you profit, or try to share some updates here on the forum and with a good sentence construction and information, you could earn some merits for you to have some little amount of bitcoin to save. In short, to become a bitcoin millionaire you should work, because nothing will happen with just observing the market.

Oh my friend, for Bitcoin to be priced at $ 1,000,000, it takes time. Bitcoin's capitalization should increase from today, almost a hundred times, in order for Bitcoin to exceed one million dollars.

I just said that the price will not touch 1 million dollars in the near future, at least to touch $ 100k is quite reasonable in my opinion for the next 2 years, your analysis and predictions are similar to John McAfee out there who said the same bitcoin 1 million dollars at the end of 2020, but I would be happy to mention 2021 for $ 100k, that's still within reasonable limits the rest would be considered a bonus  ;D

This will happen if the USD losses so much value that it actually becomes hyperinflated fiat garbage. Still for hyperinflation to occur in the US we must see dramatic geopolitical changes, embargo's vs the US, real war or economic war that affects the population, or total mismanagement of the US assets along with economic war. Governments believe in printing fiat to solve all their problems and as we've seen in history this is what always happens in extreme situations. Although I give almost 0% chance for this to happen for at least another 50 years. If this happens there would be no point in discussing BTC/USD terms.

Also there is a possibility that Bitcoin actually grows huge in popularity and mass adoption levels reach so high that everyone is using it for their daily transactions. This is what will bring Bitcoin to 1m USD and I think we have a high chance in achieving this in the next 10 years.

I remember promoters of Bitcoin and topics that I was following since 2013 that were laughing with predictions about Bitcoin reaching 10K. So it is always better to keep an open mind and not exclude this possibility.

This is very strange, as you spend a lot of time watching the market and yet you can believe that the price will reach 1 million dollars in the coming years? imagine what the bitcoin marketcap should be for reach 1 million dollars? where would so much demand come from for the price to reach 1 million dollars? I believe the price will only reach $100,000 maximum (maybe 50 years from now and if everyone in the world bought a lot of bitcoin)

That's the confidence right there. And we are all hoping the same thing but never ever expect so much because you might get false hope. Besides it will take a lot of time for bitcoin to reached such worth of value, and worse not. And if it were to reach such value surely it will bring tons of fortune here for people. Quite ridiculous yet possible.

Even if I believe on it I can’t tell when it will happen so i set my mind not to think too much with bitcoin and only focus on the possible things for now. If bitcoin will reach that then it happen, more time for that but still people have to settle down and learn to take profit when you need the most. Remember the ups and downs will stay for good with bitcoin, don’t wait too much.

You are doing well brother because any new comer needs that kind of patience in crypto market and observation to understand the crypto market, and there are so many crypto experts prediction that Bitcoin will be reach a million dollars in future.

It's good that you have that positive vision towards the future of Bitcoin but it would be better if instead of just waiting and hoping for that year to come, which is obviously will take a long time, let's earn more bitcoin and do not be contented with what you have. So when the time comes that it'll reach its peak, you can have even more.

Bitcoin is a new category of money, and one with absolute scarcity, and I think that's how people need to think about it. I don't know how much gold there is the ground, but I know how much bitcoin there is, and in a few years there will be 500 million people trying to get their hands on it. also there are 250 trillion investments around the world and if only 4% comes to bitcoin it would put the value at $500,000 easily. thereby I would say yes, it's a possibility, But I assume that all world governments don't band together to end it or something like that.

Well, I agree. That might change my mind. I am not that patient so I usually end up doing short time trades that usually ends up me losing my investments. If bitcoin reach 5 digit price again, and it quickly rose close to 6 digit, that is a huge possibility. We just need to be patient, it is the key.

$1M is a dream not far but quite impossible at current circumstances. $20K would be a moderate prediction to make for 2020 and if the situation remains same, we'd have bitcoin price fluctuate between 10 and 20K unless we solve technical issues of scalability and fees as well as legal issue of legality of holding and trading.

I think it will be longer than 10 years, because as you can see at the moment, everything seems to be bad for the market, youtube deleted videos about cryptocurrencies, coin top matic lost more than 50% of the price. within 30 minutes, there have been many scams, or ceo of the IDAX exchange is missing, to achieve that goal takes a long time, when the world recognizes the importance of blockchain in the world.

If one BTC is going to be one million then who is stopping us from buying few satoshis and hodling till we see BTC going to one million. With growing regulations and low adoption rate price of BTC may seem difficult to reach even 19k D

He's dreaming after all ;D . I do not know why there are people who really believing that the million dollar per each will happen. It is impossible, right now the price is having hard time to surpass its current resistance. Even if the demand will continue to grow over the years, we will still not see that thep rice of the bitcoin will become a million dollar per each. It is not realistic, maybe $50,000 per each is possible but a million dollar is really not possible for me.

with a long time of waiting, yes of course i have a same think too about it.
2030-2040 its a time i mean for it, i just believe the price will raising constanly , i mean , i totally not believe what mcafee says about price going to 1 million by 2020, its not make any sense from thousands to millions just 1 year .

It is not wrong to make prediction but we have to make it real sometimes.
Have you see how John McAfee was bashed all over Twitter just for doing it?

There is a good thing though. He is popular and you are not. So the most likely to happen is you will just be bashed here for maybe 10-20 times if this thread will not be flooded.  ;D

2021? 2100?
We won't see it then. We are being eaten by worms or dried out already and just bones left.  ;D
