Title: Is there any specific video channel for cryptocurrencies same like bitcointalk?
Post by: BestCryptoYear2020 on December 28, 2019, 06:51:04 PM
Recently see YouTube has started deleting all cryptocurrency related videos that many people shocked to see.
There should be a  platform like YouTube where users can add their videos and share it with low to high quality.
PS Moderator: Its not low quality post.

I don't know... I agree that YouTube behaviour is troubling, but if we can easily have a forum dedicated to cryptos just like there are forums for other areas, it seems different with video content. Have you ever seen a fairly known platform with videos only about a specific topic? No wonder that there isn't such a thing for cryptos. And if you mean decentralised video platforms, it seems that there are some projects, but they are definitely too weak to fight YouTube's strong monopoly.

Yes there are many similar to youtube.
But, recently I came across this platform lbry.tv where many crypto youtuber are shifting. The best part  about this platform is that it syncs with YouTube, so anything that gets uploaded on YouTube automatically gets added there.

You can pick any of the big youtube alternatives - Vimeo, Vevo, Dailymotion, etc. - I'm sure they won't delete any videos for just being crypto-related. But the whole Youtube drama seems to be over already, or will resolve itself soon. I wouldn't expect content creatores abandoning Youtube anytime soon, other platforms have much less users which means less profits for them.

Should include lbry.tv on this, afaik most crypto vloggers or same channel they have on youtube have an account already there.

I heard news that the problem with the removal of crypto-related videos on YouTube is over, and several crypto channels have been restored, I thought all of that was just a misunderstanding, There are many video sites but the best known to many people is YouTube, because YouTube is Google's, where almost everyone uses it.

Yes, a post above the quoted post already mention it. It looks like a nice alternative but as long as the viewers don't see anything wrong with Youtube I doubt there will be a massive exodus.

Centralization sometimes makes a good business turn into shit. For example, this year YouTube rewind is just a WatchMojo alternative.

There are hell lot of platforms for uploading such videos. Youtube is indeed deleting crypto related contents but the crypto content creators can move to other platforms. See the list below,

1. Dailymotion - no specific requirement for demonetization. Just upload and you are good to go
2. Metacafe - Not popular like others but can be explored as an option
3. Twitch - Even though twitch is mainly built for live streaming but can also be used for crypto content

So, as you can see, it's a lost opportunity for Youtube and possibly a gain for others. Nothing can stop us!

I'm looking at this: https://bittubers.com/

Still fairly young video streaming platforms so I'm not sure if this could be a good alternatives. And since Youtube says that it's their mistakes maybe we can see crypto related channels being put back in the next coming days after careful reconsideration on their part.

What is BitTubers.com?

BitTubers.com is a brand new social network for content creators and streamers. Developed by BitTube, BitTubers emphasizes free speech, fairness and unrestricted monetization across the board. This platform is the successor to bit.tube, launched in mid 2018, building upon its original peer-to-peer fundamentals with greatly improved monetization options, discoverability, interactivity and engagement features.
Real monetization. No economic censorship.

At its core, BitTubers is a WebTorrent-powered content sharing platform. By design, it has inherent censorship protection, real peer-to-peer live streaming and effective content monetization, offered through the AirTime browser extension on bittubeapp.com. AirTime does not rely on ads or third parties. More importantly, BitTube owns both banking and exchange licenses to process payments. As a company, we therefore have full control in protecting creators against censorship, something that has become unfortunately necessary in recent days.

Yes this one will be the answer if youtube will continue deleting all crypto currency videos then we should move to bittubers. But if youtube fix it and give way to users to make thier own video then there is no problem to continue using it .the good thing is youtube have more users viewers compared to others like bittubers.

There is a decentralized platform like YouTube for crypto related videos and more so you can upload your crypto related videos there and also get some rewards in Cryptocurrency. The platform is bit.tube, d.tube and more so you can use those platforms for promoting your crypto related videos and earn rewards from them.

If YouTube really bans videos about cryptocurrency, I am sure that all crtypto communities will switch to other channels like the DTube you mentioned or there will be someone creating a platform similar to YouTube to facilitate crypto users if they want to learn or want to understand about cryptocurrency because today if we see that most people they learn cryptocurrency through YouTube channels or the like.

The community is actually using other channel such as the said DTube and the most used (afaik) is lbry.tv.
Well, video sharing platforms is really one of the sources to spread knowledge especially about crypto, that's why this previous issue regarding youtube may be resolve if the community starts using other video sharing platform to spread videos about crypto.

Although the issue has been resolved by YouTube themselves but if you're still looking for almost the same platform, I think I've seen one and it was mentioned by pewdiepie before but it's not the same as YouTube because it's a game streaming site. If you don't know him, you can search his youtube channel with that username.

And this platform has a tag of "streaming on blockchain" so I think this is still related to what you're asking.

www.dlive.tv

I've seen a 'crypto gamer' channel so although it's a gaming live streaming, I think it's possible to go live there and make it like a podcast and start discussions about crypto while gaming.

I guess op is looking for a youtube alternative where he can watch videos in low, medium or high quality. In my opinion, this is one of the most important features decentralized youtube alternatives should consider adding. This will definitely help those that want to save data and I believe it's more environmentally friendly

I may say that this is really a bright idea! Well, If I am a newbie and I always depend on youtube video for effective and easy learning, then I think that this a good platform if anyone could just establish some video sites like that. People also wants to express themselves through videos and it is easy to spread awareness through this. Keep on learning!

I don't think so, there is any community that you are looking for.If any crypto lover want to open video uploading website (only for videos) It will be great. But you will find lots of websites there you will find crypto related website. But that website is only for admins,I mean public can't upload videos randomly like youtube.

YouTube has learned from this mistake that crypto videos are not an orphan child there are hundreds of thousands viewer for these videos. They have restored almost all deleted videos, after criticism from crypto community. There are many video sites like YouTube unfortunately they are not as good as YouTube.

I am about to say LBRY, but some people already recommended it. They have a great platform for content sharing. Their tagline is content freedom. Imagine youtube, but decentralized. However, last time I used it, the video will automatically downloaded to my storage. I dont know if this can be configured on the setting.

It was really shocking when we heard about it and I think the banned was really unacceptable to the cryptocurrency community and a lot of us agreed about it.

But it was already done since the youtube already said that the cryptocurrency-related videos banned or blocked is just an error if we are going to think about it sure it was really unfair to a lot of cryptocurrency content creator but since the youtube already solve the issue I think this is not a problem anymore and videos should be back again in youtube.

At this point nothing will challenge Youtube so it's best to hope that they see sense as they have this time and keep things peaceful.

Nowhere else makes money, has the search functionality or the video functionality. It's striking how shoddy most other online video delivery is compared to Youtube.

If Youtube does ever get properly heavy most content producers will give up. In many a case that's no bad thing.

If there was, I bet the owner is super rich now because of the followers and so many offers of promotions for the crypto industry, but as far as I know there is only Yoututbe and the sad thing is, the views of crypto related vids are lesser than expected. In this forum there are so many users, million of users, it is very opposite to what expect the viewers in videos of crypto related ads.

I think that was only a mistake, youtube doesn't have problems with cryptocurrency contents on their platform. I think that video doesn't follow the rules and regulations of youtube. Cryptocurrency is part of the knowledge we should gain and YouTube wasn't against with that idealism.

I'm sure, 100% that video was made for false content or didn't follow the regulations that should be abiding by all of their users.
Try to review again your content, and read the rules so you can find out if it's really worthy to stay on youtube or not.

there is no recent article that discusses whether YouTube's policies really point to that conjecture.

it looks like almost nothing has been deleted, all the videos are returned and the low content that presents crypto investment videos is still hanging around. I think it's just an experiment to test new algorithms that are only sensitive to content about metamask, dapps etc. but misdirected and targeted other crypto content.

Youtube accidentaly deleted those videos it's not intentionally done maybe there are some algorithm errors when they applied it. But now they are said to be bringing back those deleted videos/channels. Moving it to another platform would be a help but not that big to spread bitcoin awareness because youtube is already big and being used worldwide plus youtube generally havent said that posting videos about cryptocurrency is prohibited there are just some errors that cause the deleting of the said videos.

I know not a single video channel like youtube where you could post your videos. BitTubers.com I heard will accommodate video posting including earning from it but it is definitely not like youtube. You are free to explore them. But take note that the quality of youtube is topmost. There is no close competitor as of now.

There are many platforms similar to YouTube that are active. But it's not so popular and has so many users, so youtube is still an ideal place for you to post videos to the community. Youtube recently deleted videos about cryptocurrency but they quickly restored it and issued an apology. I believe in the future this situation will never happen again and we can still rest assured and use it, no need to use other platforms.

I was about to suggest LBRY too but I tried to search in LBRY it didn't give me that much results unlike the results given in Youtube. I think there should be a thread created here in this forum and give links to LBRY library that discusses Cryptocurrencies to make our lives easier. LBRY has potential to compete with Youtube if given the support of communities like Bitcointalk.

We all really are affected with the sudden deletion of numerous videos concerning cryptocurrency these days. And even if we try to find video platforms to watch cryptocurrency news, youtube could still be the a big asset we have. But I am also pretty sure that youtube wants to get rid of our influence that's why they do all these things and I probably suggest we have a uniform video platform for us to watch and stay tuned with crypto news portals. Though, market adoption will arrive in youtube where people without knowledge of cryptocurrency could have a higher percentage of being introduced to it.

It seems like there is no video forum format, so far I only know YouTube which is a place to do education about crypto and also information about projects that can generate income in crypto. and I think it is necessary, but it must be rethought what methods will be on the platform. and if the forum is given video access like YouTube it will require more cloud storage and certainly more expensive.

Bitcointalk.org is an open platform for anyone to join, contribute and earn without the involvement of any third party. If you are looking for the same platform in the video domain, I don’t think there is any till date. Right now Youtube and other centralized video platforms are ruling this domain.
